Sex and The City’s Kristin Davis has revealed the devastation felt after it was confirmed their And Just Like That spin-off has been axed. She admitted the cast had been caught off guard by the decision and was prepared to continue in her role as Charlotte York.

Speaking to Drew Barrymore on her daytime show stateside, the actress revealed the speculation that cast members weren’t aware of the show ending was “definitely true”. She claimed they had all made a commitment to each other, so the ending of the HBO hit was a huge surprise.

Speaking to Drew, the 60-year-old said: “Our commitment that we had made was a three-year commitment to each other, so we knew that part, but I just assumed that we were going to keep going. That’s how I am.”

Her comments come not long after a showrunner told of the sequel’s abrupt ending. Michael Patrick King said that while writing the Season 3 finale, “it became clear to me that this might be a wonderful place to stop”.

Despite knowing things were coming to a halt, he confessed that main star Sarah Jessica Parker and himself decided to keep the decision under wraps. He claimed that if they had announced the big news, it could have overshadowed viewers’ fun while watching the final series.

The finale aired last month and at the time Davis took to Instagram to share her sadness at the news. “I am profoundly sad,” she wrote.

“I love our whole beautiful cast and crew. 400 artisans working so hard on our show with deep love.”

Parker also shared a message for the occasion. She revealed her gratitude for the “joy, adventure, and the greatest kind of hard work” that had gone into filming the show.

“I am better for every single day I spent with you,” she penned. “It will be forever before I forget. The whole thing. Thank you all.”

Fans quickly rushed to the comments section of the star’s post to praise her for her contribution to SATC. For many, they admitted they had been moved to tears with her goodbye to the character.

“I don’t want to let go… Just give us the last season.. I am not READY TO SAY GOODBYE,” sobbed one user. ” “I am not ready to say goodbye,” insisted another.

“I will miss you a lot a lot. This show has been therapy for me. Thank you. Love you,” a second fan wrote. And a third person also said: “I need a drink,” along with a crying emoji.

Sex and the City first aired back in 1998. It’s final episode in a sex series run came in 2004. The spin-off series began in 2021, with many fans hoping there would have been much more to come from the iconic cast.

James Bourne’s Busted bandmate told fans he’s “really f***ing sick” on the opening night of their joint tour with McFly last night. It comes after James announced that he was forced to pull out of the gigs just hours before the first show.

The two bands have launched the Busted vs McFly tour this week, which sees them come together for a number of shows. The tour opened at the bp pulse LIVE arena in Birmingham last night, ahead of a second show there tonight.

Ahead of opening night, James said in a statement that he was “not in good enough health” to perform on the tour. In a sad statement, the musician said that he was hopeful he’d make it to join his pals “further down the line”.

His sudden absence was addressed at the first show last night. Footage shared on social media shows Matt Willis speaking about the absent Busted member whilst on stage with their bandmate Charlie Simpson at the venue.

Matt told the audience: “Okay, you may have noticed our best friend is not here tonight. James Bourne is really f***ing sick and we love him and we miss him.”

The singer, who has been in the band with James and Charlie since Busted formed in the early 2000s, continued: “This is the first show we’ve ever played without him and it’s really weird.” Matt added: “But we’re gonna do the best we can.”

Matt said that it “happened f***ing fast,” before telling the audience: “Health is wealth.” He said that James’ bandmates told him to look after himself.

Speaking at the gig, Matt said that they asked James if he wanted them to not do the tour. He told the audience that James gave his blessing for the shows to go ahead without him though.

He recalled telling James: “We’re gonna get someone else to play guitar on some songs because we’re gonna miss something.” Charlie teased that James hadn’t wanted one of McFly to cover for him.

Matt then announced that James’ younger brother Chris Bourne would be joining them instead. He told the audience: “You might recognise this little guy from the Year 3000 video.”

In a post just days ago, James said: “The VS tour kicks off tomorrow night in Birmingham and as excited as l’ve been all year for this tour to begin, I’m really sorry to say that over the last 8 days it has become clear that I am not in good enough health to play these shows.

“There’s a lot of information I still don’t have about my condition but my bandmates, management and I are unanimous in deciding that I should focus on the medical stuff for now.

“I really hope I can be in a position to come back further down the line. It’s still going to. be an amazing show and I will miss being there! See you all as soon as possible.”

The A-lister headed to the set of Late Night with Seth Meyers, where she filmed the show in a white mini dress with an abstract ruffled sleeve over one shoulder. Her outfits didn’t stop there as she was snapped in a white vest and tweed blazer.

Margot’s changing looks caught the attention of fans, as some thought her style had changed. One said: “Quite fond of Margot. There seems to be a big push recently to style her in a “suggestive” manner. It’s weird that she is agreeing. Didn’t seem like that type of chick.”

The late Robert Redford was the subject of tributes by Leonardo DiCaprio at a film premiere in the UK yesterday. It came following the news earlier in the day that the Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid star had died, aged 89.

It was announced that Robert, also known for films like All the President’s Men (1976), died surrounded by loved ones in the morning. The news prompted tributes to the acclaimed actor and director, who despite retiring in recent years, made his final on-screen appearance just months ago.

Leonardo, 50, paid tribute at the premiere of his new film One Battle After Another (2025) in London last night. Whilst at the event in Leicester Square, he described Robert as an “absolute legend” and an “inspiration”.

Speaking to Deadline, Leonardo said he has “a lot” to say about the late actor, adding that his death is an “incredible loss”. He added: “I admired that man very much, not only as an actor, but as a director and an environmentalist.”

He was asked if Robert had inspired his own environmental work. He mentioned the environmental advocacy group the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDR), which lists both Leonardo and Robert as trustees, in his response.

The Titanic star also referenced Robert having founded the Sundance Institute, with the late actor said to have wanted to support independent filmmakers. The institute is said to have later assumed control of a festival, which later became the Sundance Film Festival, in Park City, Utah, in 1985.

Addressing whether Robert had influenced his environmentalism, Leonardo said that he had, adding that the late actor was a member of the NRDC. He continued: “He’s been an advocate for indigenous rights, saved a lot of land in Utah. Not only that, [he] created the Sundance Film Festival.”

Leonardo, who is himself a co-founder of the environmental group Earth Alliance, went on to describe Robert as an “absolute legend”. He added that the Candidate star was an “inspiration” and that his death this week is a “huge loss”.

Speaking to the Tennessean at the premiere, Leonardo said that Robert paved the way for films like One Battle After Another. He said: “We have a film tonight that we’re premiering that is about … it’s a political thriller in a lot of ways and he was the one that created the foundation for all that with All the President’s Men and Three Days of the Condor.”

Leonardo also paid tribute to Robert in a post on Instagram yesterday. He shared a photo of him on the platform and wrote in the caption with it: “Actor, activist, passionate environmentalist, and champion of the arts.”

Brian Cox was left red faced after accidentally giving fans more than they bargained for. The Succession star, 79, mistakenly flashed his private parts while on stage discussing his new movie Glenrothan.

As he sat in a tartan kilt chatting to the crowd at the Toronto International Film Festival., he was told about his manhood mishap, leaving him to brush it off in a typical jokey manner. The incident left the crowd in laughter, making him close his legs.

However, the star’s wardrobe malfunction happened again just moments later. And he went on to confess to the audience why he didn’t have underpants on for the occasion.

“Whose idea was it to wear these f*****g kilts?,” he joked. “Certainly not my idea.”

He the blamed the producer for coming up with the outfit plan. “They can be so vengeful,” he quipped. “But you have to wear the kilt the proper way.

“Is it that bad? The kilt is designed to make you cool and free. And it’s a f*****g wonderful freedom.”

And he revealed he had only recently been watching a similar skit in iconic sitcom Friends. In the scene, Phoebe’s boyfriend opted against wearing underwear while wearing baggy clothes.

“It’s so funny because I was bored yesterday and I was watching an old episode of Friends,” Cox confessed. “It was about a guy who kept showing himself as he’s wearing these shorts. I thought, ‘Oh God, I hope that doesn’t happen to me tomorrow when I’m wearing the kilt’.”

Earlier in the year, Cox admitted to using Ozempic as he issued a blunt statement about the drug. It came as he appeared on The Jonathan Ross Show.

Admitting his use, Cox made sure to make it clear why he was using the drug – and that’s for it’s intended use. After Jonathan complimented the actor on how trim he was looking, the actor replied: “I know because…Ozempic.

“No, it’s true. I am a diabetic and Ozempic is for diabetics, it is not for fat people.”

Ozempic is a brand name for semaglutide, a medication used to treat type 2 diabetes. It belongs to a class of drugs called glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists. Semaglutide works by mimicking the action of the hormone GLP-1, which helps regulate blood sugar levels by stimulating insulin secretion, slowing down gastric emptying, and reducing appetite.

Whle Cox is using it for health reasons, celebrities such as Sharon Osbourne and Stephen Fry have confirmed their use of the drug to try to lose weight. However, Sharon has urged others to think twice about using Ozempic after her own experience.

She admitted to taking the drug in 2023. However, she said it left her feeling constantly queasy. She lost 42lbs but has since admitted she is desperate to put some weight on but can’t – despite having quit the medication.
