Prince Harry ‘red with anger’ over Meghan Markle’s story of meeting late Queen

A body language expert said that there was one moment that seemed to enrage Harry after the release of their tell-all Netflix series.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have certainly divided the public since quitting royal life in 2020, but perhaps one of their most controversial moments came following the release of their Netflix docuseries in 2022.

In the second episode of the show titled Harry & Meghan, the duchess recalled her first meeting with the late Queen, which took place shortly after she started dating the prince in 2016.

Meghan claimed she had not been aware of her meeting with the British monarch until “moments before” and that she had not anticipated it.

Meghan first met my grandmother, according to Harry, who was the family’s first female. She “had no idea what it all contained.” So she experienced a little shock in the system.

Meghan recalled that while they were on their way to meet the Queen, Prince Harry asked her if she knew how to curtsy. “We were in the car, driving and he’s like: ‘You know how to curtsy right?’ and I just thought it was a joke,” the duchess admitted.

Prince Harry then acknowledged the difficulty of explaining the royal protocol to his American girlfriend, telling the camera: “How do you explain that to people? How do you explain that you bow to your grandmother? And that you would need to curtsy, especially to an American. That’s weird.”

Meghan then compared the protocol to “Medeval Times, Dinner and Tournament,” an American dinner theater with staged medieval-style games like jousting and Meghan realized that she would need to curtsy to the Queen.

Meghan then performed a theatrical deep curtsy while seated next to Harry on the coach, sweeping her arms wife and bowing her head dramatically.

“That’s how it was. Like, I curtzed as though I were, Meghan continued as she made her impression. I’m pleased to meet you, Your Majesty.

Some viewers, who viewed Meghan’s actions as disrespectful, did not like the situation. And Harry was also less than impressed, in the opinion of a body language expert.

Jess Enrique Rosas said at the time, “The first part of Harry’s reaction tells me that he knew what was coming,” referring to the Duke’s apparent discomfort. Even though Meghan speaks quickly and joyfully, he still has no connection to or empathy for him. Notice what happens to his throat when he is swallowing because he is taking it seriously and possibly even yawning.

The expert also outlined Prince Harry’s “contempt” at Meghan’s comments, noting that his face flushed as she performed the exaggerated bow. “He is looking at Meghan and he displays contempt. A split second after that, he looks away and presses his jaw,” the body language expert explained.

“You can see that he feels ashamed or angry,” he said, “but the cheeks, the nose bridge, the temples, and the cheeks are much redder.

“I’m going to explain to you why this is covert anger rather than Harry being ashamed. He would have grinned a little more or [had] a nervous laughter if he had been ashamed.

‘Brilliant’ Netflix thriller leaves fans ‘on edge’ with its unpredictable storyline

A Netflix fan has urged people to watch a 2025 thriller that has recently been added to the platform – but while she raves about its storyline, others have shared how depressing it is

A Netflix user is urging all subscribers to watch a “hard-to-predict” thriller that many are overlooking when scrolling through the platform. Elisha, known on social media as @elisha. fm, has hailed the film Night Comes Away as a “brilliant movie” – insisting it deserves your attention.

Helmed by Benjamin Caron and featuring Vanessa Kirby, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Zack Gottsagen, the IMDb synopsis states: “Risking everything to secure a future for herself and her brother, Lynette sets out on a dangerous odyssey, confronting her own dark past over the course of one propulsive night.”

Discussing the 2025 film, Elisha remarked: “This film had me on the edge of my seat. Imagine you’ve got 24 hours to raise $25,000 to save your family.

“Lynette, played by Vanessa Kirby, is going through it. Her family is struggling with the cost of living crisis, and I know a lot of people are going through that in real life.

“Her family is facing eviction, so she’s trying to do everything she can to save their home – and she goes on this rampage in 24 hours to try to raise the money.”

Avoiding any spoilers, she concluded: “I highly recommend this film.”

While some viewers echoed her enthusiasm for the picture, others slated its conclusion and deemed it too “depressing” to endure until the credits rolled.

One viewer commented: “I can see people misunderstanding this so much. Anyone who has ever actually struggled in life will really get this film. It’s an incredibly difficult and mentally draining situation.”

Another chimed in: “The movie was just OK, but Vanessa Kirby was amazing in it! One of the best actresses today.”

A third shared: “I watched it because this movie is trending at number 4 today on Netflix. I liked the story – but not the ending.”

Yet another added: “Everyone’s take is pretty interesting. I couldn’t finish it; I thought it was massively depressing. Maybe because I live in the city it’s filmed in, I don’t know.”

Over on IMDb, one fan said: “This is one of those films. No, it’s not glossy – it’s meant to be grim and low-budget. Their lives are hard, and the tone reflects that.

“The people complaining that her spiral is unrealistic have clearly never been truly desperate for long enough. A few quibbles, but overall a movie that is far better than the rating suggests.”

Another viewer added: “It felt real. It certainly was no Hollywood story – and certainly no Hollywood ending.

One of the best movies I’ve ever seen on Netflix, and there have been some bad ones lately.

Piers Morgan slams John Cleese as a ‘flaming hypocrite’ as pair go to war over Jimmy Kimmel

Following his remarks about Charlie Kirk and Jimmy Kimmel Live’s suspension, Pipps Morgan and John Cleese clash.

John Cleese and Piers Morgan have taken swipes at each other on social media over the suspension of Jimmy Kimmel Live! following remarks the host made about the death of Charlie Kirk.

Earlier this month, Kirk was shot and killed while talking at a university in Utah. In a monologue on his late night talk show, Jimmy Kimmel spoke about the right-wing activist and his death, accusing other right-wing people, who he dubbed the “MAGA gang”, of using it to “score political points” and suggested the killer was “one of them”.

Kimmel faced backlash for his statements, particularly from President Trump and Brendan Carr, a Trump-appointed chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, who pushed for Kimmel’s show to be taken off air. ABC, the network that aired Jimmy Kimmel Live! slapped the show with an indefinite suspension.

Morgan’s reaction to Kimmel’s suspension and the outcry from many of his fans and coworkers was unexpected. He claimed that Jimmy Kimmel lied about Charlie Kirk’s assassin being a “MAGA,” which caused understandable outcry from TV station owners who refused to air him, and that he has since been suspended by his employers. Why is he being hailed as a “liberal speech martyr”?

A US politician responded to the post, saying Morgan “missed the point,” and John Cleese responded, “This from Piers Morgan. Who has succeeded in serving Rupert Murdoch financially?

Cleese’s dig at the Good Morning Britain host prompted retaliation from Morgan. “You took Rupert’s money too, you flaming old hypocrite,” he wrote. “I’m just proud of it.”

The fighting continued throughout the week as Cleese started a separate thread to continue to bash Morgan. “I see Piers Morgan says he’s proud to have worked with Rupert Murdock, the man who had done more contaminate Britain’s journalism than anyone else. Tells us all we need to know about Piers, whose only talent is associating himself with people much better known than himself.”

Morgan responded by saying that Cleese’s former Monty Python cast members “loathe” him: “a) Rupert is much nicer than you… even your fellow Pythons loathe you.” b) I have nearly twice as many followers because I am much more well-known than you.

Fans of Jimmy Kimmel have remained concerned about the show’s future. Kimmel reportedly asked to apologize for his remarks about Kirk’s death, and it is believed that his business and legal representatives are discussing a deal with ABC and Disney’s parent company to get him back on the air. Kimmel’s contract, according to information, will soon expire, and the show may gradually end up doing the same.

President Trump praised ABC for suspending Kimmel and called for Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers to be removed as well. On Truth Social, he congratulated ABC for “finally having the courage to do what had to be done” and added: “That leaves Jimmy and Seth, two total losers, on Fake News NBC. Their ratings are also horrible. Do it NBC!!!”

This comes shortly after a lawsuit Trump opened against CBS is speculated to have resulted in the axing of Stephen Colbert’s late night show. Colbert has come to the defence of his friend after recent events, saying: “With an autocrat, you cannot give an inch. Jimmy, I stand with you and your staff 100%.”

Inside Dr Michael Mosley diet that saw Martin Clunes ‘lose 3 stone in 3 months’

What is the complete information on the diet that is ideal for those looking to lose weight while maintaining good health?

Dr Michael Mosley sadly passed away last year(Image: Getty Images)

It’s now been over a year since the tragic passing of Dr Michael Mosley. The esteemed medical expert sadly passed away during a holiday on the Greek island of Symi.

The 67-year-old TV star was famed for his knowledge of nutrition and diet plans. He helped ordinary people and celebrities alike in shedding weight while improving their long-term health. One renowned dietary programme was the 5:2 diet, which he crafted with his wife, Dr Clare Bailey Mosley, in a bid to make dieting straightforward for all.

Despite Dr. Mosley’s tragic passing, his work still has a significant impact, with his family now funding his research in his honor.

But what exactly is the 5:2 diet, and how can it assist you? If it’s something you’d be eager to delve into, look no further. Mirror has gathered everything you need to know about the popular regime.

The 5: 2 diet is what, exactly?

Anyone looking for a quick, efficient way to lose weight should follow the 5: 2 diet plan. It requires eating normally for five days and cutting back on intake for two, which are frequently referred to as “fasting” days.

According to recent research, eating Mediterranean-style food is recommended daily in addition to conventional Western diet staples. According to experts at Healthline, “one typical method of planning the week is to fast on Mondays and Thursdays with two or three small meals, and then eat normally the rest of the week.”

It’s crucial to remember that eating “normally” does not imply that you can eat anything. You’re probably going to lose weight if you eat too much junk food, and you’re even going to put on weight.

Who has benefited from it?

It is thought that countless people worldwide have lost weight and maintained long-term health as a result of the ratio 5: 2. Martin Clunes, a adored actor best known for his role in ITV’s Doc Martin, is one of them.

Back in 2017, the now 63-year-old star said he’d achieved his goal of a three-stone weight loss in just three months, largely thanks to the 5:2 diet. “I was fat – and while I was getting heavy, I had tired knees and stuff,” he told MailOnline at the time.

So I decided to try that diet, and the weight lost. In three months, I lost about three stone. It’s fantastic, and it’s supposed to help cholesterol, too.

While there’s limited research specifically on the 5:2 diet, academic studies have acknowledged the benefits of intermittent fasting. These extend beyond weight control, with scientists highlighting its potential role in preventing chronic illnesses, too.

According to Dr. Benjamin Horne of the Intermountain Healthcare Heart Institute, inflammation is linked to a higher risk of contracting multiple chronic diseases, including heart disease and diabetes. We find it encouraging to see proof that intermittent fasting lowers inflammation and lowers those risks.

According to the Mirror, he later added: “The best routine is one that patients can stick to over the long term, and this study shows that even occasional fasting can have positive health effects.”

Additionally, it should be noted that Mediterranean-style eating plans that go beyond the 5: 2 approach have attracted a lot of attention for their potential health benefits. These benefits go beyond just losing weight, either.

For instance, the Autonomous University of Barcelona listed grapes, saffron, olives, rosemary, and grapes as Mediterranean foods that have “active components” that might be beneficial for cardiovascular health last year. In addition, a separate study from Tulane University discovered that significantly reducing dementia risk may be related to Mediterranean eating habits.

Our findings point to the possibility that the Mediterranean diet or its biological effects could be used to enhance young adults’ academic performance, according to corresponding author Dr. Demetrius Maraganore at Tulane University at the time.

Although these findings are based on animal models, they are consistent with those from human studies that link the Mediterranean diet to better memory and decreased risk of dementia.

Does everyone fit into the 5: 2?

The 5: 2 approach isn’t suitable for everyone, despite its promising advantages. Nutritionist at the BBC’s Good Food, Kerry Torrens, warned against the risks of taking certain medications as well as those expecting mothers.

It’s equally unsuitable for teenagers and children who require additional, crucial nutrients for proper development. Therefore, it is advised to consult healthcare professionals before starting a 5: 2 regimen.

The “fasting” days are a major focus for the 5:2 message, but, according to Kerry, the food you eat during the other 5 days of the week must be high nutritionally in order to be safe, effective, and healthy.

Katie Price has been rushed to hospital over the weekend because of her drastic weight loss.

In a health update shared via Snapchat, the former glamour model said she had to get some of her cosmetic surgery stitches removed and underwent tests to understand why she is losing so much weight.

Katie’s changing figure has not gone unnoticed with fans, with the former glamour model previously stepping on the scales to prove nothing was wrong. The mum-of-five has now admitted that she “doesn’t know why” she is losing weight and underwent tests to figure out if something was wrong.

Speaking on her snapchat story, Katie shared a video where she explained what happened, and wrote over it: “Gone to the doctors about my weight.”

“I’ve been up early at the doctors so she could do some bloods and because my veins are so s*** they had three attempts,” she began. “They could only fill two tubes up, so I’ve got to go back in two weeks.

“And I’ve got to have my stitches out then because they looked at my little stab wound that I did. The reason I’m going to the doctors is because I keep losing weight and I don’t know why. So that’s that.”

On Saturday the former glamour model revealed to fans that she had been taken to A&E. “Not what I had on my Bingo card fro Friday night,” she wrote on another Snapchat post, in front of a picture of an A&E sign lit up.

She has yet to reveal any other details. The Mirror reached out to her representatives for comment and they insisted Katie was “absolutely fine” and was in hospital for a general check-up and to get her stitches removed, nothing more.

Previously, Katie told fans the weight loss was what she wanted to happen, after concerns were raised about how much she was slimming down by. In May, she said: “Yes I’ve lost weight. Yes that’s what I’ve wanted to do, I’ve wanted to lose weight.

“Because… three, four years ago when I broke my feet I was in a wheelchair for ten months because they said I’d never walk again, and obviously you put weight on being in a wheelchair. And then I did all the IVF stuff, that also puts on weight. So yeah, I did put on weight and I hated it, I felt uncomfortable and it wasn’t me.”

Last year, she also spoke on the Louis Theroux podcast about her struggle with her weight and unhappiness about her body. “I always said I haven’t got body dysmorphia,” she said. “But there’s definitely something, I don’t know what it is. I’ve never looked in the mirror and thought I’m pretty.”

Friends and family have also expressed concern about Katie after the star turned up late – or not at all – to a series of events. A source said: “Katie has been turning up late to events – or not turning up at all – and those close to her are worried that she might be getting out of control. They’ve witnessed it before. She’s trying to do it all, but she’s burning herself out. It doesn’t seem to be sinking in.”
