Countryfile star Matt Baker’s former co-star hits out at ‘horrible’ relationship claim

Alex Jones, a presenter for The One Show, recently made an “horrible” claim about her relationship with Matt Baker, a former co-host, that she had a close relationship with.

Matt Baker’s ex-co-star has hit out at what she dubbed a “horrible” term used to describe the pair’s relationship. Alex Jones, who co-presented The One Show with Matt Baker from 2011 to 2020, disclosed in an interview over the summer that she thinks a particular word has now become a “horrible little term.”

Matt, an avid farmer who broadcast his last episode from his family home in Durham during the pandemic, has since moved on to host countryside-focused programmes like Our Farm in the Dales and Countryfile.

Given that Matt is her longest-serving co-host on the BBC’s flagship chat show, it’s only natural that they developed a close rapport over the years, a topic that came up during a conversation in August.

When quizzed about their on-screen chemistry, Alex told The Times (which suggested she might be reading “too much” into the question): “I think the word chemistry has become a horrible little term.”

She continued, “You can have chemistry with someone you just met because you can bounce off each other really well.” Oh, are they in a relationship, doesn’t need to be that way.

She said, “I don’t think anyone looks at me and Roman and says, “Oh, I wonder if they’re together?”

These days, Matt dedicates the majority of his time to the Durham farm, though he has previously discussed his forthcoming aspirations.

When questioned about potential future instalments of his programme Travels with Mum and Dad, he informed Hello! that he simply goes “with the flow” when it comes to his family.

He also confirmed there were no immediate plans to continue the show, revealing that another programme was due later this year and he was “doing a lot” of TV producing.

He claimed, “When I left The One Show, that was the point of my own production company to produce shows that people want to watch, and it’s gone incredibly well.”

Matt went on to disclose his hopes for his two teenage children, Luke and Molly, whom he shares with his wife, Nicola. He reflected on his childhood on the farm and expressed that he’d like his kids to eventually take over the reins.

He continued, “I’ve worked hard to make sure my children receive the same education I did because it has helped me greatly in my life.”

Matt did point out that there wasn’t any pressure to follow suit. He continued, “I would imagine” that his teenagers would “definitely” experience country life, noting that they “feel at home there.”

Vernon Kay risks ‘clip round the earhole’ from Tess Daly and daughters over major blunder

Vernon Kay, a presenter for BBC Radio 2, admitted to risking a “clip round the earhole” if he forgets a crucial point about his family life with his wife Tess Daly and their two daughters.

Television favourite Vernon Kay, 51, has admitted he’s in for a telling-off from his wife Tess Daly, 56, and their daughters if he slips up on remembering important family facts.

Chatting with BBC colleague Ellie Brennan, the well-known BBC Radio 2 presenter discussed how it feels when family members forget key details about one another.

Ellie and Vernon exchanged an embarrassing story about her partner’s memory lapse involving her name during a live conversation on Friday morning.

She remarked, “My other half and I have been together for eight years, and we went on vacation, and he didn’t know how to spell it, but he just spelled Eleanor Rigby off of The Beatles, which luckily is the correct spelling.

Then, in an ironic way, Vernon acknowledged that he was occasionally unable to remember his daughters’ birthdays and described his espionage plan.

He continued, “I’m like that with the girls’ birthdays.” You are aware of the time it takes to complete visa applications and similar things? I’m not interested in asking. You know what I mean, I can’t ask; I’d get a clip round the earhole. I search for passports until I find them.

The popular TV host shares two daughters with Strictly Come Dancing star Tess Daly; Phoebe, 20, and Amber, 16, who often feature in his anecdotes.

The M&S: Dress the Nation star isn’t shy about sharing moments when his girls stir his emotions, even opening up on air about his nerves, particularly around the time Amber was awaiting her GCSE results.

As students across the country braced for their exam results in the summer, Vernon shared with his audience that he was among those parents experiencing a “week of anxiety” in anticipation of the pivotal moment.

Speaking to his BBC Radio 2 colleague Scott Mills on the day the results were released, Vernon couldn’t hide his emotions: “I’m a proud dad!”

He continued, “Scott, I seriously can’t stop crying.” We’ve done okay because it’s GCSE results day, and I’m by your side for the parents who have messaged because they’ve been so anxious for the past week.

When Scott asked about the root of Vernon’s concerns, he candidly explained his belief in the significance of GCSEs over A-Levels.

‘I was in the room at MAFS wedding – one behind the scenes secret left me stunned’

Married At First Sight UK has once more appeared on television as singles are matched by an expert team to wed a total stranger they have never met at the altar.

One very lucky Married At First Sight fan got the chance to attend one of the on-screen weddings in person and has revealed what really goes on behind the scenes of one of E4’s most-loved reality shows.

The iconic reality show returned to screens on Sunday, September 21, as dozens of singletons marry a complete stranger at the altar. One couple who hit it off almost immediately was Nelly Patel, 30, and Steven Springett, 34, who had one of the show’s more unique ceremonies to date.

Paying homage to her Indian upbringing and culture, Nelly was brought into the ceremony on a Doli carriage adorned with flowers as husband-to-be Steven watched on in amazement. The investment banking manager appeared to hit it off with dentist instantly, setting themselves up to be one of the strongest couples so far.

Ashleigh Rainbird, an entertainment writer, was invited to the wedding and gave an interview to see it live. The couple and their honeymoon in Montego Bay, Jamaica, were filmed on Monday evening during the 10th series of the show.

And while the wedding took all of a few minutes on screen for viewers, in reality it goes on a lot longer for those witnessing it in person. “The size of the crew is enormous,” she said via the Daily Mail.

The ceremony took place in a pavilion at North Mymms Park, a manor house from the 16th century. And while only their families and friends hear their vows once, the viewers do so on repeat.

They exchange prewritten vows, and Ashleigh describes how frequently grooms refer to their bride as “beautiful” without having seen them.

“But then they do the entire thing again, at the risk of detracting some of the magic of TV.”

It’s probably not surprising that a large-scale production like this takes several takes, but it can be difficult for those present to watch the wedding.

The venue, which was actually used to film three of the weddings but was constructed to look like three different venues, is also being flooded by producers.

“I witness producers coordinating the movements of Nelly’s bridal party and Steven’s groomsmen via walkie talkies so none of them get even a glimpse of one another,” Ashleigh said. “An urgent warning comes over the airwaves alerting the team to the bride’s parents are set to pass up a stairwell,” she said.

Fans watch the father-of-two Steven telling his now-wife that he has children, which Nelly is thankfully unaffected by.

Steven had been working as an investment banker before being attacked outside of a nightclub and forced to give up on his professional football career.

He was left with a broken nose, cracked teeth, and a broken cheekbone after nine men viciously kicked and punched him in the middle of a previous college fight in his early 20s.

After having reconstructive surgery, he decided to stop playing football. He said, “You can only hide behind a mask for a certain amount of time.” I had to alter my profession. Being a young adolescent male, I was in my early 20s, which is a terrible age.

Tom Holland breaks silence on head injury as he continues recovery

Tom Holland, the actor who appeared in the Spider-Man movies as part of an accident while filming stunts for his upcoming Marvel film, received a news update on his health.

Hollywood star Tom Holland has spoken out about his injuries while filming the upcoming Spider-Man film.

The Marvel actor was undergoing medical treatment while filming scenes starring the fan-favorite. When the stunt went wrong, paramedics were called to Leavesden Studios in Watford on September 19.

After that, he was taken to a hospital for treatment, with the rest of his recovery being followed by a week of halting filming. According to insiders, Tom on set prevented the filming from continuing.

He now shared an update with his fans on Instagram on Saturday evening as he shared a post from a gala night he attended alongside fiancée and Spider-Man co-star Zendaya. He captioned the upload, “What a night! Another huge success.

I have to say a huge thank you to my Mum and her wonderful friends for staging another incredible night. “The Brothers Trust means more to me than I could possibly say. raising money for noble causes and having fun doing it!

Tom then continued, “I’m sorry I had to leave early, but I’m feeling better and on the mend. My dad and I both resigned, so I’m forever grateful. The humor in the program significantly increased.

According to reports, the break in filming will cost an eye-watering £10.5 million as Tom recovers from a mild concussion. Production costs for Spider-Man: Brand New Day are thought to be $200 million, roughly £150 million.

According to the Daily Mail the shutdown is costing an additional £1.5million a day until they get back up and running.

Despite the halting, sources claimed that production costs, which included studio expenses, equipment, and maintaining sets, are still present. The cast’s star-studded guests are still paid during the holidays, and additional fees are due as a result of extended stays following schedule changes.

An insider said, “It’s a headache for any production to have to pause filming, but with a movie of this scale it will be a huge migraine for the producers and studio. Crew still need to be paid throughout the delay and there is also secondary location costs to consider.

Bleary-eyed Gene and Lennon Gallagher enjoy boozy night out ahead of final Oasis UK show

Gene and Lennon Gallagher’s sons Gene and Lennon were spotted having a boozy night out in Chelsea as Oasis wrap up their US tour dates before departing for Australia.

Oasis mania has officially taken the UK by storm this Summer as Liam and Noel Gallagher took to the stage for their Oasis Live’ 25 Tour, the first time they performed together in 15 years.

As the brothers prepare to play their last UK show tonight (September 28) at London’s Wembley Stadium, Liam’s sons Gene and Lennon have been spotted looking bleary-eyed following a night out.

After Oasis’ penultimate performance at Wembley, the siblings were pictured leaving Chelsea’s The Rex Rooms on Saturday night (September 27). Lennon, 26, and Gene, 24, made their way to the Chelsea hotspot after the performance.

Lennon wore a cream winter jumper, wide-leg jeans, and pump trainers. On his phone, he was seen smoking a cigarette while carrying a cross-body bag.

Gene opted for a more casual appearance by wearing a grey jumper and splatter-printed denim jeans. He donned some silver rings and black, fade-out sunglasses.

Oasis paid tribute to Ricky Hatton, 46, who passed away earlier this month during their Saturday night show at Wembley. While the band was playing their recognizable song Live Forever, a photo of Hatton appeared on the big screen.

Following that, the official Wembley Stadium social media page published a photo of Ricky’s tribute with the words “For Ricky” and “For Ricky.”

Richard Ashcroft, a resident of Manchester, is credited with honoring Hatton, who passed away on September 14 with his Bittersweet Symphony earlier in the evening.

The former boxing world champion was a huge Oasis fan and a close friend of Noel and Liam Gallagher, who carried his belts into the ring before his win over Pauli Malignaggi at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas 2008.

Hatton recited his condolences to Noel for the tickets to an Oasis concert in Dublin shortly before his passing. Noel’s revelations about Hatton’s texting of him before his death were made even more public last week.

He said on talkSPORT, “We were texting each other last week.” And I saw him in typical Ricky form at Heaton Park a few times. He was great, had a drink, and was wisecracking with everyone.

Although it is well known that he struggled with mental health, it just shows you that you never truly know what has happened. It’s so unfortunate. He is a fantastic Mancunian.

Oasis Live ’25 Tour debuted on July 4 at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium before moving to their home city of Manchester, Heaton Park, for five shows.

After wrapping up Wembley tonight, the brothers will next descend on Asia, Australia and America. Their last show is scheduled for 23 November in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The pair made the announcement that their comeback tour would take place in August 2024 when they shared the news on social media and declared, “This is it, this is happening. The silence has been lost. The stars have converged. The lengthy wait is over. See what you see. It won’t be broadcast.

Following their highly publicized fallout, which led to them icing each other out of their lives, this is the first time Liam and Noel have performed together in 15 years.

Lola Young carried off stage after collapsing in front of horrified fans

Pop star Lola Young’s collapse on stage moments after admitting to having a “tough couple of days” with medical staff carrying her away sparked concern.

When Lola Young collapsed on stage and was “carried off” by medical staff, she became concerned.

The singer admitted to having been through a “tricky couple of days” and wasn’t sure she would be able to attend the All Things Go Music Festival in New York on Saturday when she admitted she had been. She collapsed shortly after being helped by staff.

You know what I did when I woke up and made the decision to come here, she said on stage. “Sometimes life makes you feel like you can’t continue. When she collapsed while singing Conceited on stage at Forest Hills Stadium, Lola, 24, who is best known for her 2024 hit single Messy, was doing so.

Hours after the incident she took to Instagram to share an update with concerned fans writing, “Hi, for anyone who saw my set at all things go today, I am doing okay now. Thank you for all of your support xxx.”

She canceled a concert on Friday due to “a sensitive matter,” which led to the incident. On social media, her manager Nick Shymansky wrote that “there are]occasional days when my team and I have to take protective measures to keep her safe.

She consistently takes her fans, career, and performances with all utmost respect. I’m only able to express my sincere regret for the inconvenience caused.

In 2022 Lola revealed that she was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder when she was 17. She shared on Instagram, “I cant find the words to describe how much this diagnosis has affected my entire life, and my outlook on the world around me.

“I’ve been incredibly learning to accept this aspect of myself, and I’m still learning. I must remind myself that I am just a regular f****** person, that I am human, and that, like everyone else, I am capable of amazing things, and that my mental health does not preclude me. My superpower is it.

Schizophrenia is defined as having a mix of mood disorder symptoms, including depression, mania, and hypomania, as well as schizophrenia symptoms, including hallucinations and delusions. After undergoing what she initially believed to be bipolar disorder and clinical depression, Lola was given the diagnosis.

She also explained to her fans that her family had an uncle who also had schizophrenia and that both of them tragically passed away. She added that she thought smoking marijuana, which she had used to treat childhood trauma, may have contributed to her condition.

Lola also mentioned how, despite having caught her off guard before and having her sectioned, she can usually medicate to control the situation while also being able to tell when a manic episode is coming as she begins to have strange thoughts.

She said she typically senses an oncoming manic episode when she begins to feel strange thoughts, but that she is usually able to medicate to keep things under wraps, despite having previously been caught off guard and ended up being sectioned.

She also confirmed that traveling is challenging for her because her illness is unpredictable, and that she can experience manic episodes lasting as long as a month. The actress also admitted to feeling shamed and guilty about having her illness and that she can feel isolated when others see her.
