Katie Price brings home another pet dog despite PETA blast

Former glamour model Katie Price, 47, has previously been slammed by PETA over ‘ignoring advice on pet care’, and a petition to stop her owning animals attracted 38,000 signatures

Katie Price was pictured with yet another pet after she was blasted by PETA for ‘ignoring advice on pet care’. A number of the 47-year-old former glamour model’s have died in the past few years, and a petition calling for her to be slapped with a lifetime ban has attracted 38,000 signatures to date.

Elisa Allen, of the PETA organisation, previously said: “Anyone who warns Katie not to hurt the animals she takes in might as well be screaming into the wind, for all she seems to care.” They also sent Katie an open letter earlier this year offering her £5,000 if she signs a contract not to keep another pet.

They claimed “things have gone horribly wrong with many of the animals under her supervision”.

Despite the many complaints, Katie took to her Snapchat page on Monday to share a clip with an adorable dog who she said ‘doesn’t leave her side’.

While speaking to the camera, she said with the dog next to her: “This filter is so needed today, I am so tired.” In the next slide, she added: “And this little one just does not leave my side.

“I can’t wait for him to meet Rookie, he’s met all of the other animals. This is Rookie’s new little friend for when we go horse riding, walks, everything.”

Katie posted the caption: “First time using a filter in ages.” It comes a number of Katie’s pets died in road accidents.

In June last year, her German Shepherd Blade was struck on the busy A24, close to her home in East Sussex. Months before, her Pomeranian Sharon was killed in a horror crash on the same road.

The year before that, Katie’s Alsatian Queenie, a present from her ex Kieran Hayler, was allegedly hit by a pizza delivery driver. And in 2020, her dog Sparkle was killed on the A24 and in 2017, one of her horses died on the same road when it escaped from a field.

Her French bulldog Rolo died after getting stuck under an electric armchair. Rollo had replaced Princess’s previous dog Sparkle, who was run over. In her new memoir This Is Me, the star suggests Princess was responsible for the latest tragedy.

Meanwhile in September 2021, it was reported that Katie had given her French Bulldog Precious to a crew member working on her Channel 4 show Mucky Mansion. In January this year, the star was reported to have also given away her puppy Tank, replacing it with a Sphynx kitten.

In 2019, she rehomed her Alsatian puppy after it kept escaping. She previously owned Sphynx cats Dobby and Hagrid but, in 2017, she was selling them for £1,300 each because her dogs didn’t get on with them.

She continued to post photos of the cats on Instagram until 2021 so it is unclear whether she sold them.

Chris Robshaw’s wife thanks voting fans with a cheeky snap of Strictly star in his pants

As a thank you to those who voted to save him, the rugby star’s wife has shared a racy pic of him for fans, alongside a sweet tribute to Chris

Chris Robshaw’s wife, Camilla Kerslake, has shared a shirtless pic of her husband on social media, alongside a message that is both sweet tribute to the rugby star and a brutal put down of one Strictly judge’s harsh scores.

Hopping on to Instagram, Camilla shared a series of pictures and videos from the past week. This included a cheeky snap of her husband in just his underwear, with an emoji of a football artfully covering his crotch.

She also posted that specific pic to her Instagram stories with the words: “A wee thank you for the votes girls and gays”. In the caption of the main post, uploaded on Sunday (5 October), the singer addressed Chris directly: “To my best mate,” she wrote.

. “I saw firsthand how disappointed you were in yourself last night. I know you are beating yourself up. So I’m here to remind you how loved you are.”

During Saturday’s live show, Chris danced the Viennese Waltz to Die With a Smile by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars with his partner Nadiya Bychkova.

The pair only scored 16 points, with the lowest being from Craig Revel Horwood, who gave Chris three points. In the results show, the former England rugby captain found himself in the dance off with Thomas Skinner but beat the Apprentice star to reach week three.

“Your boys are so proud of you,” Camilla continued in her caption. “You’ve shown them that even though you were so anxious about dancing, you leaped outside your comfort zone and overcame your inner fears. And to the horrible voice in your head that has told you your whole life that you aren’t good enough – I’m here to tell it to shut up.

“You are good enough. You are amazing. The boys are so proud of you their Daddy. We couldn’t be more proud of you. Thank you for showing the boys what being a man truly is.

“We love you so much. Whilst overprotective at times, I promise to be your biggest supporter, always. You will forever be our winner. Sequins look sexy on you. Forever in awe of you.”

After this, she turned her attention to Craig. She told the judge to “pip down with your low scores”. Craig has long been known as the ‘strict’ judge on Strictly. Compared to his other panellists, Craig tends to give lower scores.

Camilla caused some controversy after she made a comment about the skill level of some of the celebrities on this year’s season of Strictly.

Two celebrities – Lewis Cope and Amber Davies – have prior dance training. Even though this training is not in Latin and Ballroom dancing, fans have slammed the series for stacking the competition, as they feel these celebrities have an unfair advantage and will inevitably make the final.

In another of Camilla’s Instagram posts, Love Island’s Amber Gill commented: “Unpopular opinion: I think having people with so much dance experience is unfair.”

Camilla respondedL “The experience differences are absolutely wild. Definitely.” She later expressed regret for her comment. Speaking to press, she said: “I hope my big mouth won’t get Chris in the bottom two. I was furious last week, a protective wife, and I wanted to climb over the desk and give Craig [Revel Horwood] what for.”

Helen Flanagan surprises fans with adorable snap with ‘grown up’ daughter

Heather Flanagan shared a photo of herself with her daughter on her Instagram page with ex-boyfriend Scott Sinclair.

Helen Flanagan and her daughter Matilda looked like twins as they posed for a snap in their pyjamas. The Celebs Go Dating star, 35, took to her Instagram page to share the sweet snap of her and her daughter with their arm wrapped around each other as they smiled for the camera.

Matilda wore a light pink top and patterned pants, while the actress donned a stripy pyjama set. My beautiful, lovely daughter (bow emoji) is the caption of the post, she wrote. “my everything.” Heather and Scott Sinclair, an ex-partner and footballer, have three sons, Charlie and Delilah, respectively.

Fans were shocked when the pair commented that she was “always grown up” in the comments section.

One user said: “Aw Matilda looks so grown up. Always your baby,” while soap star Sally Dynevor commented: “Wow Matilda looks so grown up. Beautiful girl.”

Another shocked fan wrote: “Aww look how grown up Matilda is,” and another user posted: “Oh my goodness @hjgflanagan. Matilda is all grown up xx Very like her beautiful Mom. Super talented young lady.”

It comes after Helen broke down in tears over the difficulties of co-parenting. After attending Manchester Pride, she dropped off her kids with ex-fiancé Scott. As the former couple are co-parenting, the kids spend some of their holidays with the footballer but Helen isn’t the biggest fan of the set up.

Helen acknowledged that she struggled “absolutely.” I find it difficult when they disappear, and I only enjoy them disappearing when I do something. I’m currently experiencing a lot of anxiety.

The Coronation Street star said, “I just f**king hate co-parenting,” before admitting that she didn’t want her kids to move on. I’m really struggling, …

I really struggle when they disappear, she says. They should not leave, I don’t like it. If I’m doing something, I only like them leaving. Simply put, it’s very difficult. It’s just really difficult, especially when you’re struggling and it’s just really difficult.

She continued, “Your babies, you can’t speak the same when they leave.” Because I’m always with the kids, I had a lot of anxiety recently, so I haven’t had a minute. This may help me some. It has two sides…

“When they leave, I want them back, and when I’m with them constantly, I get really depressed before f**king.” It makes me feel like I can’t drink [hands]… Yesterday, I didn’t drink that much.

I never drink a lot, and I always stick to tequilas. Although I’m not going to stop crying right now, I do believe it’s worthwhile to cry just to get it out.

Strictly power struggle as one pro dancer secretly ‘not happy’ with partner

One Strictly Come Dancing couple’s early signs of a power struggle have been revealed as the show moves in with its first elimination.

All signs point to tension between one Strictly Come Dancing couple, says a body language expert. The show has entered its third week and said goodbye to the first eliminated contestant last Sunday (5 October), but already, there may be a power-struggle going on.

According to expert Judi James, the body language between late arrival Amber Davies and pro dancer Nikita Kuzmin, the two are not getting along as swimmingly as they could be.

“These two showed signs of an early potential rift or power-struggle,” Judi said. “Amber’s body language in front of the judges and Claudia comprised of the self-diminishing rituals of an acutely nervous vulnerability. She scrunched her shoulders, placed her fingers in front of her lips and performed a modest, sweet smile.”

Judi continued, “We saw her fizzing with ideas and energy in rehearsals,” adding that this was a significant change from how she was at rehearsals. However, she continued to make mention of Nikita, Amber’s partner. We also heard Nikita say, “She’s doing really well,” with a rising intonation that suggests a query rather than a statement.

His “She’s trying to run before she can walk” implied a brief power struggle, and Nikita was spotted “pinching” his forehead with one hand as a possible exasperation.

Judi explained that some Amber behavior was “over confidence,” which could have rubbed Nikita in the wrong way.

The small gesture that suggested an over-confidence was used to start the high five after the dance, with the pro dancer instigatoring the rituals of success and the celebrity patiently waiting anxiously to be reassured and praised,

In turn, Nikita might not have been as encouraging as he could have been when the judges had given their feedback. And when the judges constructively criticized Amber, Nikita nodded in stead of standing up for his partner.

The audience was prompted to turn their heads during an exaggerated face-pulling that included a jutting bottom lip in the style of a sulk because “Amber’s telling, “It was…interesting… comment about training seemed to give a hint of some dramas behind the scenes.” In front of the judges, he said, “Let’s walk before you run,” and Amber’s smile fell off like a brick.

There were at least two “tells” of potential battles on the balcony after the results. Instead of giving Amber a hug or touching her, Nikita placed his hands on Ross’ shoulders while his hip was in a barrier. Where do we begin? asked her in a loud voice. criticism of Nikita’s singing

Judi believes the couple could win the show, as she has many others. They won’t have a good time together, though, according to the statement. If Amber turns into human blotting paper and soaks up Nikita’s coaching, their Strictly experience will probably work better than to advance.

Dame Jilly Cooper’s one-word to describe her legacy as Riders author dies

Dame Jilly Cooper, who was known as the ‘queen of bonkbusters’ after penning saucy novels including Riders and Rivals, died aged 88 after a fall, her family confirmed in a statement

Dame Jilly Cooper previously opened up about her incredible legacy and hopes before her death aged 88. The much-loved author – who was known as the ‘queen of the bonkbusters’ after penning saucy novels including Riders and Rivals – has sadly died following a fall.

Her family, including Jilly’s children Felix and Emilym issued a heartbreaking statement on Monday to confirm their mother died on Sunday morning following a fall. In a statement, her family said: “Mum, was the shining light in all of our lives. Her love for all of her family and friends knew no bounds.

“Her unexpected death has come as a complete shock. We are so proud of everything she achieved in her life and can’t begin to imagine life without her infectious smile and laughter all around us.”

Before her death, she discussed her honour and legacy, for which she was unerringly grateful.

She said: “I have lived an incredibly lucky life. Lucky, lucky, lucky, lucky. I had brilliant parents, a heavenly husband and lovely children.

The author also added: “I hope I am a bit funny. I hope I cheered people up. I hope I tell a good story.”

The icon’s funeral will be held privately, as she requested, and a public service of thanksgiving will be held in the coming months at Southwark Cathedral to remember the author and her incredible life – that was just as colourful as her characters.

Her agent, Felicity Blunt, said it was ‘the privilege of my career has been working with a woman who has defined culture, writing and conversation since she was first published over fifty years ago.’

She added Jilly will undoubtedly be best remembered for her chart-topping series The Rutshire Chronicles and its havoc-making and handsome show-jumping hero Rupert Campbell-Black.

“You wouldn’t expect books categorised as bonkbusters to have so emphatically stood the test of time but Jilly wrote with acuity and insight about all things – class, sex, marriage, rivalry, grief and fertility,” she said.

She added: “Her plots were both intricate and gutsy, spiked with sharp observations and wicked humour. She regularly mined her own life for inspiration and there was something Austenesque about her dissections of society, its many prejudices and norms. But if you tried to pay her this compliment, or any compliment, she would brush it aside.

“She wrote, she said, simply ‘to add to the sum of human happiness’. In this regard as a writer she was and remains unbeatable. In her last few years Jilly added to her curriculum vitae by serving as an executive producer on the Happy Prince adaptation of her novel Rivals for Disney+. Her suggestions for story and dialogue inevitably layered and enhanced scripts and her presence on set was a joy for cast and crew alike. Emotionally intelligent, fantastically generous, sharply observant and utter fun Jilly Cooper will be deeply missed by all at Curtis Brown and on the set of Rivals.”

In a heartbreaking and personal message, Felicity added: “I have lost a friend, an ally, a confidante and a mentor. But I know she will live forever in the words she put on the page and on the screen.”

NHS issues important message after England rugby captain Lewis Moody’s diagnosis

After noticing a weakness in his shoulder, the father-of-two was given the diagnosis of motor neurone disease (MND).

The NHS has issued an important message following Lewis Moody’s ‘incredibly hard’ diagnosis of motor neurone disease (MND). The former England rugby captain learned of his condition just two weeks ago and described it as a ‘huge shock’ in an emotional BBC interview.

Whilst the father-of-two, 47, consulted medical professionals after noticing weakness in his shoulder during gym sessions, the NHS highlights several other potential warning signs that people should be aware of.

After former England Rugby captain Lewis Moody revealed that he has been diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND), the health service wrote in an X post today. On the NHS website, you can learn more about MND, including symptoms, diagnoses, and more. “

Following Moody’s devastating revelation, the Mirror has compiled essential information about the condition, those it impacts and its first symptoms.

Without prior authorization, content cannot be displayed.

Describe MND.

The nerves that control movement, also known as motor neurons, are attacked by MND, a progressive, life-shortening condition that causes death. This frequently causes muscle weakness that gets worse over the course of several months or years.

MND is more prevalent in people over the age of 50, even among adults of any age. Unfortunately, there is currently no treatment for MND, but there are options to manage its symptoms.

According to the NHS, its initial symptoms may include:

  • Weak legs and feet: You might have trouble climbing stairs, you might trip over a lot, and you might find it difficult to lift your feet.
  • muscle cramps, spasms, or twitches
  • Hands that are fragile or fragile

You might also experience:

  • a disability that prevents walking
  • difficult swallowing, speaking, or breathing
  • Producing a lot of saliva
  • Have your personality or mood changed?

Although there are actually four main types of motor neuron disease, ALS is the most prevalent. People are affected by each variation in different ways.

When should a doctor see you?

The early signs of MND can resemble those of less serious conditions. Therefore, having spasms or muscle weakness does not always indicate MND.

The NHS specifically advises patients who are experiencing three crucial symptoms to see their GP:

  • Handling or grabbing objects difficult
  • Your feet or legs have a weakness.
  • Consistent, long-lasting, or persistent muscle cramps that do not go away

The official advice continues: “A GP may refer you to a brain and nerve specialist (neurologist) for an assessment and some tests if they believe you may have motor neurone disease (MND).
