Celebrity Traitors final star confesses ‘I was kissed on the bus by a murderer’

One of the five Celebrity Traitors finalists told the odd story about how they were kissed on the bus by a man who was on the run from the police for murdering his wife

A Celebrity Traitors finalist revealed they were “kissed on the bus by a murderer” in a bizarre turn of events.

Former England rugby star Joe Marler, 35, lost out to comedian Alan Carr in the dramatic conclusion to the BBC series last night (Thursday, November 6).

He told the disturbing story about how he was kissed on the bus by a stranger as a child. It later transpired that the perpetrator was on the run from police for murdering his wife, leaving Joe astonished.

The ex-sportsman told the Happy Hour podcast that the incident happened on a bus heading to Eastbourne, East Sussex.

Joe told the hosts that he was “gobbing off” with a couple of his mates when he 12 or 13 before a man who liked the iconic actor Oliver Reed took exception to their behaviour.

The Celebrity Traitors star said: “I was gobbing off then he turned round and was like: ‘Shut up will you.’

“And I was like ‘f*** off mate,’ thinking I was hard. And then he got up and came towards the back of the bus. And I was like s***ing it, ‘what the f*** are you going to do?’

“Then he grabbed me by the throat, by the collar, and I thought: ‘Oh f***.’ Then out of nowhere, just plonked a kiss on my face, on the lips.”

Joe revealed that the ‘mental’ turn of events left him stunned. He went on to say that the bus driver slammed on the brakes and kicked the man off the bus having seen the incident unfold on the bus’s camera.

The former rugby player, who retired last year, reported what happened to the police but it wasn’t until a couple of weeks later that it took an unbelievable twist.

Joe said: “I’d gone in (to the police station), given an interview and then a couple of weeks later the police called home and told my dad: ‘You might want to sit down for this. We’re not going to press charges with the assault’ and he was ready to kick off.

“Then he said: ‘We don’t think it’s going to make a difference to his life sentence for murdering his wife in Basildon.’ And I was like: ‘What the f*** is going on?’ He’d already killed her. He was on the run, in Eastbourne.”

Joe astutely finished the segment by suggesting the killer should not have been “kissing people on buses when they don’t want it” if he’s “trying to get away with a crime”.

Jeremy Clarkson makes major career move weeks after ‘painful’ hospital treatment

Jeremy Clarkson has made a major career move shortly after he was rushed to hospital for ‘painful’ treatment, which happened hours after he called the NHS a ‘creaking monster’

Television personality Jeremy Clarkson has launched a major career move just weeks after revealing he required emergency medical treatment.

The 65 year old Clarkson’s Farm star has registered a new company following a visit to an NHS hospital – hours after he had described the National Health Service as a “creaking monster”.

In what appears to be a reference to his recent health struggles, he has named the enterprise Still Breathing.

The exact nature of the company’s operations remains unclear. Documents filed at Companies House describe the business as “security dealing on own account”.

The firm was registered on October 22, reports Wales Online. Last month, Jeremy revealed he was rushed to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford for “painful” treatment.

Writing in his Sunday Times column, he said: “The treatment was Defcon 1 painful. They had to peel me off the ceiling with a spatula afterwards and I was forced to stay the night, but it was OK.

“I’m not going to tell you what was wrong, because that’s none of your business.”

Despite his earlier criticism of the organisation, Jeremy also commended the NHS for the care he received.

The episode occurred a year after the former Top Gear and The Grand Tour presenter underwent emergency heart surgery.

Jeremy had reported feeling “clammy”, experiencing “tightness in his chest” along with “pins and needles” in his left arm after returning from holiday. He subsequently required two stents to be fitted, a procedure that reopens narrowed or blocked arteries.

In his column, he revealed: “I certainly wasn’t having a heart attack. But if it hadn’t looked that way, I never would have been sent to hospital.”

Jeremy was holidaying in the Indian Ocean when he had to “take a moment to make sure my limbs were working properly” upon standing up. He also found swimming challenging and struggled to ascend a flight of stairs “without holding someone’s hand”.

He added: “These problems all manifested themselves in one day, which made the rest of my holiday extremely relaxing because all I did was sit in a chair drinking wine and eating cheese.

“Back at home, though, the sudden deterioration began to gather pace. I woke on Wednesday morning not feeling too good. I was clammy and there was a tightness in my chest.

“It seems that of the arteries feeding my heart with nourishing blood, one was completely blocked and the second of three was heading that way.

Soap actress Lisa Riley is best known for playing the role of Mandy Dingle in the long running ITV soap opera Emmerdale since 1995

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! hopeful Lisa Riley has been open about her impressive 12 stone weight loss and how she managed to achieve it. The actress has been honest over the years about how she was able to go from a size 28 to a size 12 in just 18 months.

She has explained in the past about the techniques she used to shed 12 stone which included cutting out snacking. The star traded her usual takeaways for regular gym workouts and healthier food options.

She may also try some other odd foods during the Bushtucker trials which are known for offering delicacies such as fish eyeballs and kangaroo testicles. Lisa has been candid about her previous weight loss journey and said it wasn’t without its difficult aspects as Lisa found herself dealing with painful folds of excess skin, weighing more than 1.5 stone in total.

Lisa previously appeared on This Morning in 2017 when she talked about the weight loss as well as her documentary Lisa Riley’s Baggy Body Club.

The actress spoke to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield about what she did to have a healthier lifestyle. Lisa said: “What happened was I decided to lose weight for me. Everything I had tried previously didn’t work.

“I did Slimming World all those sorts of things didn’t work for me and probably because I wasn’t being honest and dedicated to myself and then I kind of took myself out of the limelight and I was on holiday in Singapore and I put a picture on Twitter of me celebrating Chinese New Year.

“Next thing I was on the cover of every single magazine infiltrated about how have you done it and I just did it for me and I was patient and I had to realise all the mistakes I had made year after year.”

She was asked then what an “honesty diet” is as she explained that it is being “realistic” about what you are eating. Lisa said she would fill out a diary each night saying what foods she had eaten which meant she could visualise what she was consuming.

She said this helped as it made her realise that some days she was eating too much and not making the healthiest choices.

Lisa found that when she lost the weight, she was left with loose skin which she struggled with. She explained that there were times that she found the skin painful.

Lisa told her fans: “When I made the decision to lose weight, I never for one second imagined that I would end up looking like that.

“It never occurred to me that the loose skin would be so bad. I thought why on earth have I lost all this weight? I looked worse than I did when I was obese. And it was the pain as well. The skin was flapping about and dragging.”

Lisa is one of the celebrities to be rumoured to be starring in the 2025 series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! ITV are yet to confirmed who will be heading into the jungle but Lisa could be one of them.

Loose Women’s Denise Welch shares heartbreaking abusive relationship admission

Loose Women star Denise Welch has opened up about her past relationship, saying she was in an “abusive relationship” with her former partner, who was “very controlling”

Denise Welch has opened up about a devastating confession regarding an “abusive relationship”. The Loose Women presenter revealed she was trapped in a “coercive” relationship “many, many years ago”.

The 67-year-old mum-of-two explained her former partner wasn’t physically violent but described them as “very manipulative”. She revealed her ex would “chip away” at her character through subtle remarks.

However, Denise acknowledged she was reluctant to reveal what was happening to her friends at the time, reports the Manchester Evening News. She explained she knew they would urge her to leave her partner, but felt she wasn’t “ready” to end the relationship.

Speaking on the Loose Women: Just Between Us podcast, Denise revealed: “I was in a coercively controlled relationship without physical violence, many, many, years ago. What they do is they’re very manipulative, they chip, chip away at your personality in very subtle ways.

“For example, say they’ve met you and when they’ve met you, you’re maybe out somewhere and you’ve got your make-up on and you’ve got whatever you normally wear, which is why they fancy you, why they approached you, which is your personality, but very slowly it’s, ‘You know, you don’t need to wear that make-up. You look much nicer without make-up.’

“That’s because they don’t want other people to see what they saw. So you start doing everything you can to avoid the kick-off.”

When asked if she shared her struggles with her friends, Denise confessed: “I never used to tell them things because I was embarrassed. I was embarrassed because if I told them what was happening, they would of course say to me, ‘You’ve got to leave.’ But I wasn’t ready to, I kept thinking that I could change him.

“When we got to the point where I would break the relationship off, I got the flowers, I got the chocolates, I got the tears and the car.”

She says her ex would promise to “change” so she would give him “more time”. She previously explained: “You are so desperate to change that person and they make you feel like you’re the centre of their life. It’s very easy to say ‘why don’t you leave’ but they are incredibly manipulative.”

She continued by saying that “for years” people believed abusive relationships had to be physical. She added: “The difference is you can’t see the bruises. There are bruises and the bruises can often last for longer.”

One dissatisfied watch purchaser remarked: “Bought a watch for just under £60, originally £600. Obviously too good to be true, battery ran out after four days, opened it up to replace, very sketchy build quality. Don’t believe this is Debenhams, just some outfit that bought the Brand Name.”

Real Housewives star’s daughter ‘terrified’ as she’s caught in Stockport bomb scare

ITV Real Housewives of Cheshire star Tanya Bardsley’s daughter, Gabriella, was left ‘terrified’ after being locked on a train following a terrifying bomb scare in Stockport

Tanya Bardsley’s daughter was left terrified after being trapped on a train during a bomb scare in Stockport. The Real Housewives of Cheshire star took to Instagram in a state of panic, revealing that her daughter and other passengers had been involved in a bomb scare.

The 44 year old mum pleaded for information, when she revealed that her daughter had been locked inside the train by police. Gabriella, Tanya’s daughter, found herself caught up in the travel chaos following a bomb scare on Tuesday night. A bomb squad was called to investigate a “suspicious” suitcase left on a footbridge near the railway station.

Emergency services set up a 200-metre cordon while they investigated the area. Stockport train station was evacuated and all incoming and outgoing trains were cancelled due to the scare.

Tanya took to Instagram, posting: “Does anyone know what’s happening at Stockport train station? My daughter and all the passengers are locked on the train by police… I’m going out of my mind.”

Nearby homes were also evacuated. Explosive Ordnance Disposal units rushed to the scene on Greek Street.

One witness described the situation as “chaos”, with people running around in fear. He told Manchester Evening News: “I was told I had to evacuate Stockport bus interchange and it was chaos with people running. I was told had to leave immediately. There was approximately 50 of us running out of the interchange, followed by the police.

“Lots of panic and hurry,” was the scene as bystanders sought refuge in a nearby pub and army barracks. Several others were left stranded on trains as the station ground to a halt. One witness reported their train being halted near Cheadle due to a “suspicious item” near Stockport.

Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service stated: “Just before 6pm this evening (November 4) firefighters were called to reports of a suspicious item on Greek Street in Stockport. “Two fire engines from Stockport and Whitehill fire stations, as well as the technical rescue unit from Ashton fire station, are currently at the scene where a suitcase has been left on the footbridge by Stockport railway station. “.

An Avanti West Coast spokesperson confirmed that Stockport Station had been evacuated and advised customers not to travel to the station.

This incident follows just months after Tanya Bardsley’s £2 million home was targeted by masked men while her family slept in May this year. Video footage posted on Instagram shows Tanya’s football manager husband Phil liaising with police who were alerted by the couple’s security system.

Taking to Instagram, Tanya shared a video showing a police car parked outside the gates of her home as the police spoke on their radios.

“Two masked men in Wilmslow lock your doors put your cameras on and call police if you see them,” she said. Tanya added: “Thank God for @tarussecuritygroup.” Now, a source has claimed that while the family were at home, they were fortunate enough that the break-in failed and nobody was injured.

“The family was home at the time, but luckily nobody was harmed,” a source told The Sun. The source went on to add: “Security and police turned up as fast they could, but the two masked men got away.”

The Mirror has approached Tanya and Cheshire Police for comment. Tanya and Phil are not the only stars of the Real Housewives franchise to be targeted by brazen thieves. Her former co-star, Nicole Sealey, was left shaken in 2022 when armed robbers gained access to her Cheshire home with crowbars.

It’s believed that the armed thieves who entered Nicole’s home, which she shares with her husband, former footballer Joe, went straight for their valuables, which included Nicole’s engagement and wedding rings as well as several Rolex watches. The scary incident comes after Tanya and Phil opened up to the Mirror about their decision to open their doors for the cameras once again, but on their own reality show.

Previously, former Manchester United FC legend Phil had ruled out appearing on their own programme but reluctantly gave in to pressures from his family. “We had to wear him down,” said Tanya when asked on how she persuaded Phil to take part.

She went on to add: “Complete peer pressure from the whole family but we got there.” Although both have had glittering careers, Tanya admits that having their own show was “a lot harder” than shows, including Housewives.

Tanya is a stalwart of The Real Housewives of Cheshire, having starred in the hit show since its launch in 2015. She first found fame as a WAG before being selected to star on the ITV2 reality show.
