Katie Price said she intends to give Harvey CBD gummies as she believes it’ll help manage difficulties associated with his Prader-Willi syndrome
Katie Price has told how she has decided to give her son Harvey CBD gummies – after he accidentally took two and became “nice and chilled”.
The media personality, 47, explained she was pleasantly surprised about the effect the gummies had on her son, who is autistic, has Prader-Willi syndrome and vision-impairing Septo-optic dysplasia. Katie insisted she hadn’t tried anything with Harvey that hadn’t been medically prescribed, but he’d been “nice and chilled” after taking the CBD and that it had “taken the edge off” his anxiety.
The mum made the disclosure in a video she posted on Instagram, in which she talks to friend Serena Stregapede. The clip promotes Olympic boxer Anthony Fowler’s company, Supreme CBD, which manufactures various products including the gummies in question.
Katie tells Serena, who is Anthony’s girlfriend: “Because Harvey, he’s got ADHD, behaviour problems all of that. He took a couple. And I’m like Harv! But then I thought, you know what? Just see what it does to him, because he’s got all his medical problems. And he was just nice and chilled.
“When I say chilled, normally he gets a bit of anxiety, especially if I’m taking him out somewhere, then he starts talking, talking more. And I thought why not give him two?”

Only around 2,000 people in the UK have Prader-Willi syndrome, a genetic disorder which causes a wide range of physical symptoms, learning difficulties and behavioural challenges. Little research has been carried out into it, and so management typically involves addressing the symptoms and associated difficulties.
Recalling Harvey’s accidental use of the CBD, Katie, from Brighton, East Sussex, continued: “Because he saw them in the jar, when I went ‘No, you can’t have them, they’re mummy’s’ and he’s like, ‘No I want one!’ So I said you can have two and he took the green ones because he loves green.
‘And I said, ‘Do you like them?’ and he said, ‘Yeah, can I have more?’ and I went, ‘No, we’ll have two later when you come back.’… And then yeah, it calmed him down as well.So he’s on all the proper medicationsfor behaviour and stuff and I gave him two of them because he’s like 28 stone, so I thought it’s be all right to have two. And it just chilled him.
“I’ve never ever gone out the box of tryinganything else than what he’s been prescribed and because I know it’s not a drug, I just gave him two green ones and it just slightly took the edge off for him. So I was really surprised.”
There is no published research that CBD helps manage difficulties associated with disorders like Prader-Willi syndrome. Supreme CBD products can be bought over the counter at shops, pharmacies and online, amd so Katie now intends to give her son the gummies regularly.
But the NHS says there is no guarantee that even such products sold in health stores will be of “good quality”. Moreover, the oil can affect how other medicines work, meaning a specialist should always be consulted about using it in conjunction with other treatments, while doctors should monitor users regularly because it can affect the liver.
Yet, captioning the video on her social media, Katie insisted: “I would only ever recommend stuff that works to you all and I would only ever give Harv the gummies after trying them myself and seeing how much of a difference they have made for me.”
The Mirror went behind-the-scenes at Katy Perry’s London O2 gig where the American singer met Pride of Britain winner Florrie Bark and her group of new friends, all of who have battled cancer
There were tears, hugs and face-aching grins when Katy Perry met Pride of Britain winner Florrie Bark and her new friends for a very special backstage party.
California Girls singer Katy, 40, took time out before her London O2 gig on Monday night to meet Florrie, nine, and eight other children who have been supported by Florrie’s award-winning cancer charity BeMoreFab.
“Are you real?” Katy, who was dressed as a blue robot, asked the children as she popped her head around the door of the green room and made them gasp in shock. “I know I’m real, but are you?”
Walking towards Florrie, Katy addressed her by name and asked the little girl to introduce her to all of her new friends.
Alana Bee, 16, who is recovering from cervical cancer, burst into tears as she met her idol. “Oh my god, I’ve just touched Katy Perry,” she gushed. “Touched me? Girlie-pop, you can hug me!” the singer told her before embracing the teen and telling her that she liked Alana’s makeup.
Later, Alana grinned: “I kissed Katy Perry – and I liked it! When she came in the room I was paralysed, then it hit me she was really there. I just sobbed and was hyperventilating.”
Her mum Vanya said the night out had done Alana the world of good. “She’d lost confidence since having tumours on her thyroid at the age of 14, and then last year being diagnosed with cervical cancer. She hasn’t been at school since Year 9 and when her beautiful long hair fell out she didn’t even want to leave the house.”
But inspired by the wonderful staff who have cared for her, Alana has just started at college and wants to be a pediatric oncology nurse, so she in turn can look after ill children.
Her new-found friend Amelie Flatt, 13 from Hitchen, was just as overwhelmed when Katy approached them. Eighteen months on from a bone marrow transplant to treat the cancer that has cropped up four times from childhood, Amelie is only just transitioning back into ‘normal’ life and returning to school.
She left virtually speechless when the popstar admired her make-up and home-made Fireworks t-shirt.
“I can’t believe I met her,” she beamed afterwards, wiping tears from her eyes. “Her songs bring so many happy memories from when I finally got to see my friends and stuff.
“When she told me my make-up was incredible, that is my biggest flex now. I’m never going to let that go – I need it on a t-shirt! At least I played it cool…”
Amelie added: “Katy said that I was really an amazing, strong person and that I inspire her.
“She promised to sing California Girls extra-loud for us.”
Her mum Sofia said proudly: “Katy was absolutely amazing, she gave them all so much of her time. What a beautiful human. That was such a special moment and Amelie will never, ever forget it.”
Of little Florrie from Corby, who last year won the Pride of Britain Child of Courage award for her indomitable spirit and tireless fundraising to help other children living with cancer, Katy said: “You are a queen. I’ve heard so much about you.”
Florrie is awaiting a lung transplant after complications from her bone marrow transplant, which she had after being diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called acute myeloid leukaemia at the age of six.
She launched BeMoreFab with parents Andrew and Stacy, and raised more than £120,000 in just three months, which helps other children living with cancer to access tutors to catch them up with missed school work.
Turning to Andrew and Stacy and hugging them, Katy said: “You have produced a truly incredible human being.”
Katy, mum to Daisy Dove Bloom, five, who she shares with ex Orlando Bloom, spoke to each of the children – Emmy Whitmee, 9, of Rothwell, West Yorks; Ellerie Carroll, 9, of Bradford; Bella Shalgosky, 9, of Corby; Kaiden Edwards, 10, of High Wycombe, Bucks; Darcie Smith, 7, of Belfast and Ada Rumney, 8, of Eastlound near Doncaster.
She then insisted on meeting each of their parents and taking selfies.
And she made the children laugh as she told them they could stay up all night and didn’t have to listen to their mums and dads.
“Do we need them? Yes we do – to bring us stuff,” said Florrie, making the whole room burst into laughter. “They can go to the grocery store?” said Katy. “Yeah – and bring us medicines,” Florrie quipped.
“You know what they can’t do? They can’t tell us to go to bed any time soon,” Katy laughed, shooting a look over at the parents.
“We can stay up for five hours and listen to the music!” cheered Florrie.
Before leaving to get ready for her show, Katy told the children – who handed her a BeMoreFab rainbow friendship bracelet – that she would “never forget” them.
“Stay in the light,” she urged them, hugging them all once again. “You are the light. Hold this moment in your heart forever, OK? And I’ll never, ever forget you.
“I love you so much. You’re the best!”
With a swish of long black hair – into which shimmering strands of silver had been weaved – Katy departed for the stage, leaving the group in raptures.
“It was so nice to see how happy everybody was and some of the girls were crying,” said Florrie.
“Katy knows our names now and she remembered us!”
Bella Shalgosky, nine, was comforted by her best friend Emmy Whitmee – wearing matching pink shimmering outfits – as she sobbed with happiness. Later, the pair watched over the balcony of their VIP box at the O2, screaming out the lyrics as Katy performed all her high-octane greatest hits.
Bella is also from Corby, but she and Florrie had never met before Monday night – despite Andrew being her headteacher before he left to launch BeMoreFab. Florrie, who wore a blanket emblazoned with faces of her family members, said she and Bella will definitely stay in touch. “I’m going to get a Bella blanket!” she smiled.
Sean Reddington, co-CEO of Thrive Learning, who donated the use of the VIP suite so the children could enjoy a truly special night out, was thrilled that Katy had been so kind to them all.
“Florrie is such a special little girl and deserves to be treated, but she in turn wants to make other children happy,” he said. “She wanted to make new friends and give them a little moment of joy – and that’s what makes her so incredible.”
The children and their parents got to watch the entire show from the box, including when Katy appeared to confirm her romance with ex-Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau, after photos of them emerged at the weekend canoodling on Katy’s private yacht.
Speaking to a fan in the crowd called Darren who was holding up a sign asking her to marry him, she joked: “Oh my god! You should have asked me 48 hours ago!”
Katy also poked fun at the breakdown of both her former relationships with shamed comedian Russell Brand and actor Orlando Bloom, laughing: “Look at this beautiful crowd. No wonder I fall for Englishmen all the time.”
Her mum Mary was also in attendance with little Daisy, and Katy quipped that she would no longer sing her risque hit Peacock, even though it is Daisy’s “favourite song”.
“Mom doesn’t like it – whoever wrote it should be very ashamed of themselves,” Katy told the crowd. “Yes, I wrote it – there we go. Mom is praying right now… she’s been praying since 2008!”
Up in the box, nine brilliant children partied right until the end of the show, waving glowsticks and swapping phone numbers so they can stay in touch.

“What a night,” grinned Florrie’s mum Stacy. “They were able to have one day where they weren’t just patients worrying about their next treatment or isolating in hospital. This will stay with us forever.”

Drew Struzan, the legendary artist behind some of Hollywood’s most iconic film posters, has died at the age of 78. His family confirmed the sad news via his official Instagram account on Monday.
“It is with a heavy heart that I must tell you that Drew Struzan has moved on from this world as of yesterday, October 13th,” read a statement from his brother, Greg Struzan.
“I feel it is important that you all know how many times he expressed to me the joy he felt knowing how much you appreciated his art,” he added in his statement.
Struzan’s career spanned decades, leaving an indelible mark on cinema. He created posters for blockbuster franchises and beloved films including Star Wars, Back to the Future, Harry Potter, The Empire Strikes Back, The Goonies, The Shawshank Redemption, and The Thing.
Spielberg once described him as his “favourite movie artist” and admitted to feeling pressure to “live up to the art” Struzan produced.

His process was meticulous as each poster began as a pencil drawing, then was layered with airbrush acrylics and colored pencils to produce a vibrant, hand-crafted final image. His style was distinctive, capturing mood and emotion rather than merely summarizing a film’s plot.
“I wasn’t looking to tell a story. I’m looking to give a person a feeling about something they could hope for,” Struzan explained in a 2021 interview with Slash Film.
“I had to do something different, and I think that the trouble with a lot of early movie posters is that they looked too much like classic illustration, which feels like it’s telling the whole story. I didn’t want to do that.
“I felt that art was more than just telling the story. In fact, telling the story in a poster is wrong for a movie.”
Drew Struzan has died at the age of 78
Before making his mark in Hollywood, Struzan designed album covers for some of the music world’s biggest names, including the Beach Boys, Bee Gees, Earth, Wind & Fire, Liberace, and Black Sabbath. His artwork for Alice Cooper’s Welcome to My Nightmare was later named one of the greatest album covers ever by Rolling Stone.
Earlier this year, Struzan’s wife revealed that he had been battling Alzheimer’s. “Drew can no longer paint or sign things for you,” she wrote on Facebook in March.
“He is not enjoying a well-deserved retirement but rather fighting for his life. He hears all the comments you have left here on these pages. It encourages him. At first he was able to express his thoughts but as time progressed it became infinitely more difficult.
“I rely on our 60 years of marriage working as a team to remember for him. Drew has left a strong legacy of love and joy in the form of his work. It has always been a love letter of sorts.
“His aim was to make the earth a better place in which to live by creating something beautiful. But like a flower, his season is ending,” she added.

The world of music is mourning the loss of Grammy-winning soul legend D’Angelo, who has tragically died at the age of 51 following a pancreatic cancer diagnosis.
The Brown Sugar hitmaker passed away on Tuesday morning in New York City, according to sources close to his family and longtime manager Kedar Massenberg.
His death marks the end of one of the most distinctive and influential careers in modern R&B, which spanned three decades and reshaped the sound of neo-soul.
D’Angelo, best known for hits such as Lady, Untitled (How Does It Feel) and Really Love, was a defining voice of the 1990s and early 2000s soul renaissance.
His debut album Brown Sugar, released in 1995, marked his arrival as a prodigy – blending gospel roots, funk, and jazz into a sensual, groundbreaking sound that inspired a generation of artists from Alicia Keys to Frank Ocean.
A source close to the family said: “He was surrounded by loved ones when he passed. D’Angelo fought hard and with grace until the end.”
Another added: “He was one of those rare artists who gave everything to the music – he left nothing behind.”, reports the Express.
Throughout his career, D’Angelo collaborated with musical heavyweights including Jay-Z, Q-Tip, Snoop Dogg, and Erykah Badu, and was celebrated not only for his velvet voice but also for his musicianship – often playing multiple instruments and co-producing his own albums.
Tributes have already begun pouring in from across the entertainment world. DJ Premier, who worked with him on the 1998 track “Devil’s Pie,” confirmed the devastating news via X on Oct. 14.
“Such a sad loss to the passing of D’angelo. We have so many great times. Gonna miss you so much. Sleep Peacefully D’ Love You KING,” he penned.
One admirer posted on X: “D’Angelo changed the way R&B felt – the sound, the soul, the swagger. A true legend gone too soon.” Another simply shared: “Brown Sugar forever.”
His subsequent album, Voodoo, which dropped in 2000, secured him two Grammys including Best R&B Album, establishing his status amongst music’s greatest.
However, it was the sultry, stripped-back video for Untitled (How Does It Feel) – featuring the artist appearing naked against a shadowy background – that transformed him into a cultural icon.
The visual became one of the most discussed in music video history, generating endless debate and imitation whilst “revolutionising the persona” of the contemporary male soul artist.
Receiving 14 Grammy nominations throughout his career, D’Angelo claimed four accolades, including Best R&B Album twice for Voodoo and Black Messiah.
He additionally secured Best R&B Vocal Performance for Untitled (How Does It Feel) and Best R&B Song for Black Messiah’s Really Love.
The artist leaves behind 2 sons and a daughter. The mother of his eldest son was vocalist Angie Stone, who passed away tragically this year in a motor accident.

Shaun Williamson has paid a heartbreaking tribute to his former EastEnders co-star Tony Caunter following his death at the age of 88.
Tony Caunter, who was best known for his portrayal of Roy Evans on EastEnders, died peacefully at the age of 88 his family confirmed on Tuesday. The actor, who played the beloved car dealer between 1994 and 2003, was introduced as a romantic interest for Pat Butcher, played by Pam St Clement, and the pair eventually married on-screen.
In a statement to the PA news agency, his family said: “It is with enormous sadness that we bring the curtain down on our wonderful and hugely loved father, Tony Caunter, who died peacefully yesterday evening, just eight days after his beloved wife of 63 years, Fran, also passed away.
“Dad was 88 years old. After a long and fulfilling life on and off screen and stage, Tony leaves a daughter and three sons, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He will be missed by all.”

The family also expressed gratitude for the care Caunter received in his final weeks: “We would like to thank the NHS staff at Eastbourne District General Hospital for their incredible care during his final hours, and to everyone at Eastbourne Gardens nursing home for the care and compassion they have given dad over the past two months.”
The iconic EastEnders star’s family ended the heartbreaking statement by requesting privacy “at this extremely difficult time.”
Now Shaun, 59, has paid tribute to his on-screen father in a heartfelt social media post. The former EastEnders actor wrote on Instagram this evening: “RIP Tony Caunter. He was like a second father to me and taught me so much about acting and life. A great actor and a great man. I will miss him so much.”
EastEnders bosses also released a statement adding: “It is with great sadness that we learn of the passing of Tony Caunter.
“Tony will forever be loved and respected by everyone at EastEnders for his warmth, kindness and humour as well as being greatly remembered by all those at home who instantly took Roy to their hearts.
“Roy will always be remembered for his great love of Pat, despite him famously declaring his distaste in her choice of earrings, which gave us all one of Walford’s greatest love affairs.
“Tony will never be forgotten by all those who worked alongside him for many years and everyone at EastEnders sends their love and condolences to Tony’s family and friends,” the poignant statement concluded.
Fans have also paid tribute on social media following news of Tony’s sad death. One wrote on Twitter (X): “I’ve been watching 1998-2000 recently and Roy was one of the best characters. Always down on his luck but such a brilliant character! Sad to hear Tony Caunter has passed away.”
Someone else added: “RIP Tony Caunter, I was lucky enough to meet him a few years ago at a signing and he was one of the sweetest and nicest men I’ve met. Very sad.”
Another said: “Very sad news. Roy was always a favourite of mine, and Tony an excellent actor.” A third added: “Sad news RIP Tony… Roy didn’t half put up with a lot of rubbish with his son Barry causing him trouble and Pat cheating with Frank. He was in a great era of the show.”
Another EastEnders fan wrote: “Tony Caunter was a reliable TV face, equally comfortable on either side of the law: always extremely dependable. That he was then rewarded with household name status in Eastenders was a deserved cherry on his acting cake. I visited at home some years back and he was lovely. RIP.”
“We’ve lost another versatile character actor. Tony will be best remembered for his long running stint on EastEnders as Roy Evans. Among his many other credits Tony appeared in Doctor Who 3 times. R.I.P. Tony Caunter,” someone else added.
During his time on the soap, Caunter’s character featured in some of the show’s most memorable storylines, including Pat’s affair with ex-husband Frank Butcher, played by Mike Reid.
Caunter’s career spanned decades beyond EastEnders , with appearances in Pennies From Heaven , Tumbledown , Juliet Bravo , and the drama Boon .
