James Argent gets public support from Mark Wright’s mum as ex breaks silence on attack

Carol Wright, the mum of former TOWIE star Mark Wright, has become the latest big name to publicly support the disgraced former reality star in the aftermath of his legal troubles in Spain

James Argent gets public support from Mark Wright’s mum in wake of legal troubles

James Argent doesn’t appear to have lost many friends in the wake of his legal troubles in Spain. Carol Wright, mother of Argent’s pal Mark Wright, has become the latest big name to publicly support the disgraced former TOWIE star.

Argent, 37, was handed a suspended prison sentence for a gender violence offence against his then partner, former Miss Sweden, Nicoline Artursson, while holidaying in Spain in Mijas, near Malaga, on 5 May. He admitted the offence and was given a six-month prison sentence, suspended for two years.

Nicoline broke her silence on the incident last week, with Argent continuing to perform across Spain and mingle at star-studded event. Argent recently took to the dance floor alongside his old cast mate Megan McKenna, 32, to celebrate her nuptials with footballer Oliver Burke, 28.

Argent shared a nostalgic video on Instagram from the wedding bash and captioned it: “Congratulations to the beautiful Bride, My dear friend @meganmckenna who got married to the lovely @oliverjburke yesterday. I can’t tell you how much it meant to me, That you wanted me there on your special Wedding day. We danced together just like old times in Nu Bar Loughton when we were kids.

“We always supported each other in those TOWIE days & remained friends ever since. You’ve blossomed into an amazing woman. You’re a fantastic mum & you’re going to make a great wife! And your a much better singer than me haha. Love ya.”

Shortly after, Mark Wright’s mum Carl, 64, commented to express her affection, saying: “Love this. Xxx.” Adding a shower of love hearts and applause emojis, she clearly enjoyed the trip down memory lane.

Carol’s message to Argent comes as Nicoline opens up about the incident with her ex. She recently took to social media to share her thoughts on what had transpired in a lengthy and emotional post titled ‘All that glitters, where is the gold?

In a heartfelt post on social media, Nicoline shared her emotional ordeal: “It’s now been a month. I still can’t believe it. My fractures on my body have finally healed but I’m wounded inside. I’ve been quiet long enough. Silence protects no one – and it almost destroyed me.”

Describing the dark turn her relationship took, she wrote, “What started as a love story sadly turned into something else. Behind the pictures, promises and the plans for a life together – the beautiful days – changed into sadness with emotional manipulation and eventually physical harm.”

While not pointing fingers at any of Arg’s former partners specifically, Nicoline mentioned that Arg had “unresolved ties to his past”. Highlighting an intrusive third wheel in their romance, she stated, “There were too many people in our relationship” – referring to herself, Arg and his ex – and levelled allegations against the unnamed ex and her family for causing “targeted emotional distress”.

(Image: @real_arg/Instagram)

Nicoline continued to express her deep sense of betrayal, adding: “I loved deeply, believed in our future and stood by someone I thought would protect me and instead I was left alone and harmed in ways I never imagined. I was not only failed by him but deeply affected by the presence of unresolved ties to his past.”

Further detailing her frustration, she said, “Yes I posted an Instagram story with a simple yes or no question about if your ex should be a part of your present relationship. I felt there were too many people in our relationship: me, my boyfriend and his ex. ‘Three’s a crowd’, they say. I asked so many times if we could be just the two of us, but the answer was a strong NO … Everybody knows that real friends support you and want to see you happy. So I posted a story on Instagram.”

She later revealed that Arg had vowed to her he would “put a stop” to the ongoing issues. In her detailed statement, she said: “After being together for one year my boyfriend finally promised me that he would have boundaries. He would put a stop to all that had been going on for months. But he didn’t.

“Instead he broke the promise … The rest is history. I was brutally thrown out of our new home in the middle of the night wearing only my pyjamas. I opened the door to let him in and only minutes after I found myself laying down on the stairs outside our house. My clothes and belongings were being thrown out from the balcony down on me. I was injured.”

Nicoline then expressed gratitude towards her neighbours for their assistance. She stated: “Thanks to incredible neighbours who heard and saw what happened and acted, I got help. They called police, brought me to safety and ensured the incident was taken seriously.”

She wrapped up her message by saying: “A gentleman does not abuse you and end up in jail and call you the love of his life. A gentleman does not blame you for his actions. A gentleman will confide in his partner, family and close circle of friends, keeping them close and safe. A gentleman chooses you always and leaves the past in the past – including exes.

“Life is to be lived together and not to please people who want to take advantage of you. At the end of the day, fame can only do so much – it’s all about being strong and growing together. Life is simply not a reality TV show, life is real. I have tried to understand why. I have cried so many tears thinking about the way he chose to hurt me. He said he loved me and I believed him and here we are.”

She continued: “There is now a legal record of what happened. Violence has no excuse – no matter how much love preceded it. To those who questioned me for staying as long as I did: I stayed because I believed in love. I believed he and we could grow, could heal, could choose peace. But love doesn’t survive in chaos. And it cannot survive where violence lives.

“To every woman reading this: if you’ve ever questioned your worth, your safety or your sanity in a relationship – this is your sign. You deserved to be loved with care and integrity. And you are not alone. To the men: real strength is protection. Real love is safe. Be the kind of man who lifts women up – not one who breaks them down, neither by violence or silence.

“To the future: never say never. I will get the little family I’ve always dreamed of and have my dream wedding to symbolise and celebrate true love in front of my dear family and friends.”

She penned a powerful message, stating: “I’m healing now. Slowly, bravely and unapologetically. I will rise and I will use my voice – not for vengeance but for truth. For every woman who’s been silenced by someone who said ‘I love you’ and then proved otherwise. This is not just my story. It’s a reminder: abuse – whether emotional, psychological or physical – has no place in love.”

Noel Gallagher reveals how forgotten Oasis star really feels about missing tour

In August 1994, Oasis released their debut album Definitely Maybe, which catapulted them to superstardom. But for the original lineup, this was short-lived, with drummer Tony Carroll quitting in 1995, before Bonehead and Paul ‘Guigsy’ McGuigan stepping away in 1999

Noel Gallagher says Paul ‘Guigsy’ McGuigan was “relieved” to leave Oasis and is unlikely to be jealous of the Oasis Live 25 shows.

Guigsy and drummer Tony McCarroll will be the two original band members missing from the tour when it kicks off next month. Guigsy was photographed last year living in London but in a new book Noel lays bare Guigsy’s feelings towards the end of his time in Oasis.

Speaking to journalist John Robb, Noel said: “Success hit Guigsy the hardest. He was not ready for it at all. When we started we were on the same level musically but when I got at the turbocharger and I was writing all the songs and when they were orchestral things the rest of them thought ‘Where am I going to fit in with all this orchestral sh*t and I don’t blame them for that.”

Noel adds he thought it was “a relief for Guigsy to be away from all that’.

He said: “Guigsy would be constantly stoned and he would not says a word for two days or be very nervous doing gigs. It was a relief for him when he decided to call it a day. Not that I have ever spoken to him about it but I knew he was going to be alright sitting in the garden, watching cricket and smoking weed without having me and Liam arguing. I guess it was a relief for Guigsy to be away from all that!”

Bonehead would also leave the band at the same time in August 1999, but has returned for the 2025 reunion.

Drummer McCarroll has not been invited to play live, having been effectively forced out of the band after the first album Definitely Maybe. But he is on friendly terms again with Liam and attended one of his solo shows last year.

On X he tweeted he would love to come on and play Supersonic at Heaton Park if he was invited.

The Oasis Live 25 shows kick off in Cardiff next month before heading to Heaton Park for several weekends. They’ll also play Wembley before heading off on a World tour.

It was Guigsy who first started the group The Rain in the 1980s, with bandmates Paul “Bonehead” Arthur and Tony on drums, before Liam Gallagher joined and then brought along his brother Noel, 56. The group went on to change their name to Oasis, who were famously signed at King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow, Scotland – and the rest is history.

In August 1994, the group released their debut album Definitely Maybe, which catapulted them to superstardom. But for the original lineup, this was short-lived, with Tony departing soon after in 1995, before Bonehead and Guigsy quit in 1999.

To mark its 30th anniversary last year, Liam and Bonehead played Definitely Maybe in its entirety at concerts which sold out in minutes.

Liam declared the album “the most important album of the ‘90s bar none”. He added to fans: “I wouldn’t be anywhere without it and neither would you.”

Olivia Attwood feud erupts as Maura Higgins takes drastic action with her and Pete Wicks

Maura appears to have unfollowed Olivia and Pete(Image: Ben Symons/Peacock via Getty Images)

Maura Higgins has reportedly ditched Pete Wicks from her social media months after their split. And it appears that his close pal Olivia Attwood has also had the chop by the Irish beauty.

The former Love Island star, 34, and TOWIE man, 37, called time on their brief romance in February after appearing to be growing closer. Shortly after, Maura made a comment about Pete “cheating”.

Her remarks had Olivia quick to defend her mate insisting that was not the case. She took to Instagram previously to say cheating is “not funny” and said Pete “didn’t cheat”. Now, following the incident, it appears that Maura has had enough of the pair and is moving on without them.

According to the Sun, the duo have followed Maura’s move and have also clicked the unfollow button on the reality TV star’s account. Pete and Maura allegedly had a number of rocky rows prior to their split.

They had initially started dating last year, but never officially went public with their link-up – nor did they deny it. They were, however, spotted looking cosy on a number of occasions.

The pair are said to have known each other for six years before they took their connection to the next level. but only started dating in 2024. Rumours the ex The Only Way Is Essex hunk and former Love Island star were dating began to swirl last year as the Mirror revealed they shared a smooch at the Pride of Britain Awards in October.

Maura later posted a steamy TikTok video of the pair practicing a dance move. In the clip, Pete was seen holding on to Maura’s leg as she lay on the floor. She then pulled herself up into a standing position, before the duo shared a hug and Maura raised her arm towards the camera.

At the time, the post sent fans into overdrive and questioning their relationship. During her stint in the I’m A Celebrity jungle, Maura kept her cards close to her chest, but gave little hints of their pairing.

Away from her love life, Maura won’t be returning to the American version of Love Island. She had previously hosted the stateside version of Aftersun.

However, a new presenter has now been revealed. Maura, who was also the social media host of the show, reportedly won’t return due conflicting schedule issues. Instead, she will be replaced by Sophie Monk. The star is already familiar with how Love Island works due to being the host of the Australian version.

Maura’s exit isn’t thought to be an “axing” but is rather her stepping back. She is said to be focusing on other projects instead, with some fans believing she could come back to host Aftersun for the second season of Love Island Games, which is set to film in Fiji later this year.

Who is Caroline Daur as Romeo Beckham new romance gets mum Victoria’s approval

Romeo Beckham has sparked new romance speculation after being spotted with German model Caroline Daur just weeks after his split from former girlfriend, DJ Kim Turnbull

All eyes were once again on the Beckhams this week as son Romeo Beckham was spotted with a potential new flame. Just weeks after the 22 year old called time on his relationship with Kim Turnbull he was seen enjoying some alone time with Caroline Daur, 30.

The German has become famous in the fashion world with the model being a recognised blogger. And it appears she has already been given the nod of approval by Victoria Beckham, who has long admired her work.

In 2018, the former Spice Girls’ Facebook account asked Caroline for an image of her wearing one of her designs. And the German star has also been present at a number of Posh’s fashion shows over the years.

But who is Caroline Daur and how did she make her way in the industry? She previously revealed she is proud to be a “self-made” success. She once said: “I don’t have an agent, manager or assistant. I do everything by myself.”

She rose in the industry in the early 2010s with a successful fashion blog and has since amassed 4.6million Instagram followers. She also has over one million people follower her TikTok account. She is now thought to have a net worth of around €4 million (£3.4million).

She has branched out with her work and featured on TV too. She was involved as a guest judge on the German version of Next Top Model. Caroline also launched a series of work out videos which were available to follow online.

The model is also set to appear on the small screen once more having landed a role on a German Netflix series. Last year, she filmed for the series titled She Said Yes.

Caroline also previously opened up on dealing with ADHD, which she was diagnosed with later in life. “It didn’t surprise me,” she confessed after revealing the condition. “And it didn’t surprise anyone around me either. The diagnosis came late, but it explained so much.”

She continued: “‘My brain is like an internet browser with 47 tabs open. Sport is the only way I can calm it down. This morning I worked out at 7am, even after a short night. Without it, I just don’t function.”

It remains to be seen how Romeo’s family react to any potential budding romance between the pair. The second eldest son of David and Victoria found himself surrounded by rumours of a family feud after his older brother Brooklyn, 26, swerved the siblings’ dad’s 50th birthday.

Brooklyn was said to have been ‘uneasy’ about Romeo dating his, ex Kim, who was once close friends with the hot sauce enthusiast. He reportedly felt his parents were ‘favouring’ his younger brother, who was seen beaming in snaps from David’s birthday.

Amid the fallout, Romeo and Kim ended their partnership and now appears to be getting cosy with the German model. The duo were spotted in Paris together, having reportedly bonded over their love of Tennis. Both were attending the Men’s Singles Semi Final at the French Open on Friday.

Elizabeth Hurley’s ‘subtle but significant’ transformation as she ‘ages in reverse’

Elizabeth Hurley today celebrates her 60th birthday, but the actress often leaves fans blown away with her youthful appearance and glowing skin but has had a ‘subtle’ change

Elizabeth Hurley, who turns 60 today, is often praised for her youthful appearance and glowing complexion

Elizabeth Hurley’s “subtle” transformation has not gone unnoticed. The actress and model, 60, often leaves fans speechless with her risqué social media snaps and stunning red carpet appearances.

But as she enters her seventh decade, the Austin Powers star’s appearance is somewhat conflicting as she looks worlds away from her younger self, while also looking more radiant than ever. Elizabeth has always been vocal about her dislike for excessive cosmetic surgery and has taken pride in not going under the knife.

“I think it just makes you look like you’ve got filler. It’s not my cup of tea,” she previously said when asked if she was a fan of having too much work done. But a leading dentist has suggested that Liz may have had a subtle tweak to her teeth, which is relatively unnoticeable.

When she first found fame in the Ninties, Elizabeth was known for her charming, natural, gap-toothed smile, which dazzled as she posed for photographers. Nowadays, her smile stands out amongst the crowd and is a testament to her style evolution.

Dr Rizwan Mahmood, co-founder of Ruh Dental, believes that Elizabeth’s change is “subtle but significant” and is a “textbook example of how dental work can enhance, not overhaul.” Speaking to the Mirror, he said: “Elizabeth Hurley’s smile transformation is a masterclass in natural refinement.

“She hasn’t gone for a cookie-cutter Hollywood look. Instead, it appears she’s had light orthodontic correction, possibly bonding or veneers, and professional whitening, all while maintaining the unique character of her smile.” In her earlier years of fame, Elizabeth’s teeth had a slight gap, and Dr Mahmood noticed irregular edges that appear to have been smoothed out over the years.

He adds: “It’s not about chasing perfection, it’s about preserving identity while boosting confidence, and that’s exactly what we see with Liz.” While many new stars often dazzle on social media, it was Elizabeth who led the way as one of the original It Girls, following her relationship with Love Actually heartthrob, Hugh Grant.

The Basingstoke beauty, who frequently showcases her gym-honed physique for her adoring fans, was catapulted to worldwide fame when she stepped out at a film premiere in 1994. Elizabeth joined Hugh Grant at the premiere for Four Weddings and A Funeral – a film she wasn’t in – but still captivated everyone’s attention.

She wore a bold Versace dress, featuring deep splits down the sides, with just gold safety pins holding the black outfit in place. Aged just 29, Elizabeth wasn’t a household name at the time, but this soon changed. Speaking of the night, she joked: “I promise I didn’t mean to steal the show!”

But prior to this, she was actually left rather embarrassed after a string of designers refused to dress her for the event. Speaking in a 2019 BBC documentary, Grant said: “Someone told us: Oh, you can borrow things from top designers. Poor Elizabeth rang some top designers, and they all said, ‘No, who are you?’ or ‘No, we’re not lending you anything.'” Eventually, it was Versace who decided to dress Elizabeth, which would change the trajectory of her career.

“Only in England could a saucy dress have such an astounding effect,” she previously said of the dress.
