Wynne Evans reveals ‘full video BBC wouldn’t let him publish’ after Katya Jones ‘grope’

Former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Wynne Evans has posted a video that he claims the BBC wouldn’t let him share in full amid a scandal on the show last year. It comes following his departure from the BBC in recent weeks.

Whilst competing on the show in October, Wynne and his dance partner Katya Jones were involved in controversy when he was seen moving his hand over her waist. She also appeared to refuse a high five from him. The pair later stated that they had been ‘joking,’ with them apologising over the situation.

Wynne, who has faced other scandals related to Strictly in recent months, and Katya posted a video addressing the situation, in which they apologised, at the time. He’s since claimed that they had made a longer video explaining that it was a social experiment, but alleged that the BBC didn’t want him to share that, and instead are said to have told him to record a shorter version.

Now, Wynne has posted an Instagram video showing himself and his dance partner Katya Jones backstage, suggesting that it’s the unused video in question. Wynne wrote in the caption: “The video that was too long for @bbcstrictly @bbccymruwales I think this tells it as it was.”

In the video, Katya begins by saying: “Hello everyone. We felt the need to clarify something. We find it quite fascinating how people take time to look into, in such detail, every gesture, every look.”

As she laughed, Katya said: “So we thought …” Wynne said: “Tonight.” They said together: “We’d mess around.” Wynne continued: “We said ‘ah I’ll put my hand on your waist. You pretend to move it away’.” Katya added: “Let’s see who notices.”

Wynne continued: “And now, everybody thinks I’m a weirdo. But really, I promise you, I’m not.” He added: “And we’re doing this high ten thing as well, which … she blanks me from a high ten.”

Katya appeared to say: “It’s all so planned just to see … ” Wynne said: “If anybody notices.” Wynne said that “lots of people” noticed, with Katya then saying: “But we need to clarify that it’s all just messing around. It’s quite funny but not.”

Wynne added: “It’s not funny now.” Katya said: “It’s not funny.” Wynne apologised and Katya said: “He’s not a creep.” Wynne agreed, before his dance partner said: “He’s a brilliant dancer!”

When the scandal first broke in October last year, Wynne and Katya appeared in a different video message in which they addressed the situation. Katya began the short clip by saying: “Hi everyone, it’s Wynne and Katya here. We just wanted to say we were just messing around in the Clauditorium on Saturday night and just want to say sorry. It was a silly joke.” Wynne added: “Yes, sorry.”

Wynne told the Sun recently: “We quickly made a video explaining it, went to the BBC and the BBC press team said, ‘No it’s too long, do another video, do a short one, just say I’m sorry and get on with it’. And that’s what we did. That was a massive mistake because the video of me moving my hand got two million hits, and the apology got eight million, so it compounded the situation.”

Love Island fans had a message for one islander after a comment made by one of their co-stars on the show tonight which they thought had left the star unimpressed

Love Island fans have shared a warning for one islander after she was introduced to new bombshell Remell in tonight’s episode.

Remell Mullins and Shea Mannings were introduced as the new bombshells in tonight’s episode. They later played a game of dares with the group. At one point, Alima Gagigo chose to kiss Remell after being tasked with snogging the islander she would couple up with if there was a recoupling.

However, later in the game, she was unimpressed when Remell revealed a ‘secret’ about himself. After being asked to reveal a “secret” about himself, the new islander was encouraged by Shakira Khan to share “something juicy”.

He said: “Gotta make sure I say the right thing now.” Remell then told the group: “The most people I’ve slept with in a night is five.” Alima was seen gasping in response and covered her face. Remell later said: “Let’s just leave that one.”

Alima was seen sharing her thoughts after the game in a confessional. She said: “This is the first time that he’s walking into a villa like with new people. You then go and say that you’ve slept with five people in a night. I’m like why would you say that?”

Love Island fans issue brutal warning to Ben after spotting major ‘red flags’

Love Island fans reacted to tension on tonight’s episode as they claimed Ben displayed signs of huge ‘red flags’ during a very awkward interaction

Viewers issued a warning over one Love Island star tonight after an awkward scene aired on the show. It came after the first dumping of the new series earlier this week.

Tonight’s episode saw the islanders in the aftermath of Sophie Lee having left the villa on the ITV2 show earlier this week. She was dumped in last night’s instalment after Harry Cooksley and co-star Shakira Khan decided to recouple.

Shakira had been tasked with getting a boy to couple up with her after being left single in a twist that aired in the launch episode on Monday. She was told by host Maya Jama that either she would be the first star dumped or the partner of anyone she recoupled with would be instead.

Following the dumping, at the start of tonight’s episode, there was tension between Toni Laites and Ben Holbrough. The pair have been coupled up since Toni ‘stole’ him from Shakira, which was the act that had left her single.

Toni and Ben were speaking as part of a group when she joked that the boys could be at risk next after all of the girls, except Toni, had been at risk of being dumped first in the twist that revolved around Shakira. Ben thought she was talking about him specifically and Toni teased that it isn’t all about him. Moments later he was seen walking off from the group.

Toni said: “Boys, it’s your turn.” Asked what she meant, she clarified: “I think you’re not gonna be safe.” Ben appeared to say: “Why are you saying that about me in particular?” Toni reacted: “I said boys!” Alima confirmed: “She didn’t mean it about you. She meant all the boys.” Toni added: “Everything’s about him.”

Ben reacted: “But no one said that.” Toni said: “You just said …” There was then mostly silence among the group as some of them appeared awkward in the aftermath. Ben ended up walking off and later said about the situation: “Is it the time and place to be joking about things like that? I’ve just got the ick.”

Fans weren’t impressed with Ben whilst watching the episode though. “BEN IS SUCH BAD VIBES,” one person wrote on X. Another said: “The red flags are really flagging with this Ben.” Someone else said: “Ben is soooooo sensitive omg.” One fan teased: “Ben is giving everyone the ick, not just Toni.”

One person wrote on Instagram: “He cannot take a joke to save his life.” Someone else said: “Bro needs humbling.” Another agreed, commenting: “Ben actually needs some humbling.”

Ben and Toni later spoke about their relationship, with the pair seemingly deciding to call time on a romance. During their conversation, after hearing that he had said she gave him “the ick” behind her back, Toni told him: “Say it to me.” Ben then said it and she replied: “You’re giving me the ick.”

Lottie Moss felt like she was dying after Ozempic overdose but would take jabs again

TV star and model Lottie Moss has opened up on her scary experience of having a seizure following an overdose of Ozempic as she admitted she’s thought about taking it again

Model Lottie Moss has discussed her “terrifying” experiences with medication Ozempic on a new ITV show. The young model has revealed she was hospitalised after taking the medication, which is used to treat diabetes.

Lottie, Kate Moss’ younger half-sister, said: “I’d lost like, six or seven kg, like, it was so dramatic. “Coming off really quickly, and you almost don’t even notice it, because you’re so sick and, like, tired all the time. That’s why they, like, rushed me to the hospital. In the ER, I started to feel something really weird happen as soon as I got on the bed, I had the seizure, and they were holding me down. I was terrified.

“I do remember it, I started to feel, I honestly felt like I was dying. And it sounds really dramatic, but I’ve never had a seizure before. And I was just like this so isn’t worth it? Like, what am I doing to my body? Like, why did I feel like I needed to do this.

Lottie has admitted to using Ozempic ‘below board’(Image: Max Cisotti/Dave Benett/Getty Im)

“But I remember when I was just after I’d come out the hospital, I felt good because I was so slim, and I get how that feeling can be so addictive now.”

Despite all the pain and horror, Lottie says she has “thought about” going back to the injections before remembering it “didn’t work out for a reason”. Other celebrities have used the jabs or similar ones including Sharon Osbourne and Gemma Collins. While some have used the medication for weight loss purposes, the drug isn’t licensed for this. Instead, it is used to treat diabetes and side effects of the drug is weight loss.

On ITV show The Price Of Perfection, Olivia Attwood speaks to Lottie and also continues her search for how science and social media are redefining beauty as we all chase the perfect selfie.

Lottie decided to open up on her scary hospital experience last year as she wanted to warn people of the dangers. She said on her Dream On with Lottie Moss podcast that her face and hands clenching up was one of the ‘scariest’ things she has ever gone through.

Medical professionals told her that the dosage she was injecting into her leg would have been prescribed to someone who weighed at least 100 kilos despite the star being in ‘her 50s’ range. She said: “A few months ago, I was not feeling happy about my weight, I had a friend, and she could get it for me.

“It was below board, from a doctor, but it wasn’t like you go into a doctor’s office and he prescribes it for you, takes your blood pressure, and takes tests, which is what you need when you go on something like Ozempic. At the end of the day, it is a medication, it is dangerous and really meant for weight loss of people of a very large size.

“When I was taking it, the amount that I was taking was meant for people who are 100 kilos and over and I’m in the 50s range. It’s these small things I wish I’d known before taking it. But I took it, you inject it into your leg, and it was the worst decision I ever made.

She added: “I would rather die any day than take it again. It made me feel so nauseous. I took it for two weeks. It comes with a pen and different doses, you take one injection one week, one injection the next week and you take it every week, and I’ve never felt sicker in my life. I was throwing up, it was horrible. I took a lower dosage the first time I took it then I went up higher. I ended up being in bed for two days, felt so sick, my weight had dropped.”

Love Island’s Olivia Hawkins admits it’s a ‘big shame’ after Sophie Lee’s axing

Sophie Lee was dumped from the Love Island villa last night and former islander Olivia Hawkins has shared her thoughts on the situation following the latest episode

A former Love Island star has shared their thoughts on Sophie Lee being dumped on last night’s episode

A former Love Island star has shared their thoughts on Sophie Lee becoming the first islander to be dumped on the new series. It’s included describing the situation as “brutal”.

Last night’s episode of the ITV2 show saw Sophie, 29, leave the villa after Harry Cooksley, who she had been coupled up with, recoupled with Shakira Khan. It meant that Sophie was left single and she had to leave the villa in Majorca, with her being dumped just days into the latest series.

Some fans were not impressed with the outcome of this series’ first dumping. Sophie, who has been described as inspirational, had been met with support after opening up about rebuilding her life in the aftermath of receiving burns in an accident involving fire in her early twenties.

Olivia Hawkins, 29, has said that it’s “such a shame” that Sophie didn’t get longer in the villa. The former islander, who appeared on Love Island back in 2023 before returning for All Stars earlier this year, said she’s a “big fan” of her.

Olivia told us: “I’m actually a big fan of Sophie. I’ve followed her for years, and her journey, and I think she’s so inspirational. When I saw she joined the cast, I was really excited, so it’s such a shame.”

She added that it’s “brutal” when someone has to leave so early on. Olivia said: “I love Love Island, I love the team, but it’s so brutal when someone gets dumped after 24 hours, especially when the process takes such a long time, like four or five months, you dedicate your whole world to it.”

Speaking on behalf of Mecca Bingo, Olivia added: “So, it’s such a shame, because I think she would have brought a different dynamic, and I know she would have been a fiery character. I think it’s a bit of a loss for the show, but someone had to go, didn’t they?”

Following her departure, Sophie said: “I just was myself, fully. My silly, wonderful and little bit cautious (but that’s just me) self.” She also said: “I don’t regret anything I’ve done. I did everything that I wanted to do. And summer’s not over!”

A third said: “I feel bad for Sophie. I was [rooting] for her! She’s been through a lot and I wanted her to find someone.” Sharing their thoughts, someone else reacted to her departure by writing in a tweet: “Sophie leaving is so unfair.”

After landing back in the UK, Sophie expressed her gratitude for the support she’s received. She wrote in a post on Instagram today: “What a whirlwind. Thank you all so much for all the love and support. A short but sweet journey.”
