Laurence Fox LIVE: Actor makes statement as he arrives in court on sex offence charges

Laurence Fox is has arrived at Woolwich Crown Court today after he was charged over sharing a compromising photo of broadcaster Narinder Kaur on social media.

Fox, 47, is due in court today after he was charged under section 66A of the Sexual Offences Act 2003. He was charged with two counts under the act. In April, Fox, of Peldon in Essex, previously pleaded not guilty to the offences.

He is accused of sharing a “photograph or film of person in intimate state intending to cause alarm, distress or humiliation”, in the first count, while the second alleges he sent a “photograph or film of genitals to cause alarm, distress or humiliation”. Fox was charged in March over the sexual offence, which is alleged to have taken place in April 2024. The charges came after an 11 month probe into the social media site, X.

The police previously said Fox had been “charged with an offence contrary to section 66A of the Sexual Offences Act 2003” which “relates to an image that was posted on a social media platform in April 2024”. Section 66A of the Sexual Offences Act relates to “cyber flashing”.

The charge, introduced in 2023, makes it an offence to intentionally share a sexual image of someone without consent, with the aim of causing alarm, distress, humiliation or for sexual gratification.

Upskirting, taking pictures of people under their clothes without their permission, became a specific criminal offence in 2019. Offenders can face up to two years in jail and be placed on the sex offenders’ register.

As Fox’s charges were announced in March, A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “A man has been charged with a sexual offence following an investigation by the Metropolitan Police.

“Laurence Fox, 46, of Peldon, Essex, will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on April 24 charged with an offence contrary to section 66A of the Sexual Offences Act 2003.

Laurence Fox’s strong message

Laurence was photographed arriving in court sporting a cap with the term ‘two-tier’ emblazoned on.

The term ‘two-tier policing’ is used to infer that police are more harsh or heavy handed with those politically aligned to the right than the left.

Laurence Fox plea

In April this year, Laurence pleaded not guilty to sexual offence charges over the publication of an upskirt photo of TV star Narinder Kaur.

Laurence Fox charges

Earlier this year, Fox was charged with two counts under the Sexual Offences Act 2003 after an 11 month long investigation. He was charged under section 66A and 66B of the Sexual Offences Act 2003.

Upskirting, taking pictures of people under their clothes without their permission, became a specific criminal offence in 2019. Offenders can face up to two years in jail and be placed on the sex offenders register.

Section 66A was introduced via the Online Safety Act 2023 to address the growing problem of cyberflashing. The law criminalises the act of intentionally sending or sharing a sexual image of genitals without the recipient’s consent and with the intention to cause alarm, distress, humiliation, or for sexual gratification.

David Beckham wins planning victory at £6million Cotswold home with neighbours furious

The local council gives a ‘prior determination notification’ so that he can construct a barn for hay and equipment despite earlier protest from neighbours

David Beckham has won his latest battle with neighbours over plans for his rural retreat. Local planners have issued a ‘prior determination notification’ which states that he can construct a barn for hay, straw and agricultural equipment – despite opposition. One exasperated local complained: ‘Why do famous people move to the country… then make silly alterations?’ The England legend was seeking planning permission for the timber-clad structure at the £6m property in the Cotswolds.

Beckham, 50, keeps bees and chickens at his country bolthole which has a giant lake. His representatives asked planners at West Oxfordshire District Council for the right to create an “agricultural storage barn for hay/straw and agricultural equipment”. Angry villager Harriet Jones had told the council in a letter of objection.

She did not name David Beckham but made a reference to ‘famous people’ moving to the country: “This is just the latest in a long line of applications to build new structures on this land, plus a giant lake. Why do famous people move out to the country and then clutter up their land with endless buildings and make silly alterations? It makes no sense.” The plans reveal the building will have a steel frame covered in wood with a metal roof which will measure 10m by 5m. Planners will decide on the merits of the application in the coming weeks. Two years ago, David and his wife Victoria were given planning permission to transform the property near Chipping Norton, which they bought for £6m in 2016.

The pair previously got into hot water with neighbours over developments.

That included a now-withdrawn application to build a second access road into their home.

Documents reveal the barn has been given the go ahead.

They have also been granted planning permission to construct a kitchen garden and glasshouse so that they could grow their own fruit and vegetables.

The star has just been named as the latest guest editor of a magazine long regarded as the hunting, shooting and fishing set’s house journal.

He follows in the footsteps of the King who has twice guest-edited Country Life.

He filled the role for his 65th birthday in 2013 and his 70th in 2018.

In 2020, the Princess Royal masterminded an issue on her 70th, while the Queen, as Duchess of Cornwall, marked her 75th in 2022.

Beckham is set to be knighted in the King’s birthday honours list on Saturday.

He said he was looking forward to helping to ‘produce an issue that will celebrate what the countryside and the great British landscape means to me and my family’.

MTV host Ananda Lewis’ heartbreaking regret that haunted her final years

MTV host Ananda Lewis has sadly died after a long fight with breast cancer. She had a heartwrenching regret when it came to her diagnosis

MTV presenter Ananda Lewis spoke candidly about one heartbreaking regret before her death.

The iconic TV personality was best known for her stint as an MTV host during the network’s “veejay” era in the late 1990s. Sadly, on Wednesday, 11 June, it was confirmed that she had tragically passed away after a long fight with breast cancer.

Ananda revealed her ongoing struggle with stage 3 breast cancer in October 2020, two years after being diagnosed. Taking to Instagram with a video, she spoke about her diagnosis and heartbreakingly admitted to having delayed regular mammograms due to her fear of radiation exposure.

In the video, she said: “I would have probably had 3 or 4 mammograms by the time they caught [the breast cancer]. Instead, I have had to have two PET scans so far. Guess how many mammograms worth of radiation a PET scan is worth? 30! So 60 mammograms. You do the math!

“If I had done the mammograms from the time they were recommended, when I turned 40, they would have caught the tumor in my breast years before I caught it through my own breast exam, and they would have caught it at a place where the treatment of it would have been a little easier.”

She captioned the post: “This is tough for me, but if just ONE woman decides to get her mammogram after watching this, what I’m going through will be worth it.”

Women between the ages of 50 and 71, who are registered with a GP, are invited for their NHS breast screening every three years. The NHS shares that the main symptoms of breast cancer in women are:

  • Lump, or swelling, in your breast, chest or armpit
  • Change in the skin of your breast, such as dimpling (may look like orange peel) or redness (may be harder to see on black or brown skin)
  • Change in the size or shape of one or both breasts
  • Nipple discharge (if you are not pregnant or breastfeeding), which may have blood in it
  • Change in the shape or look of your nipple, such as it turning inwards (inverted nipple) or a rash on it (may look like eczema)
  • Pain in your breast or armpit, which does not go away – breast pain that comes and goes is usually not a symptom of breast cancer

In an interview with CNN in 2024, Ananda shared the devastating news that her breast cancer had advanced to stage 4 after she initially refused to undergo a mastectomy as part of her treatment. She explained that they wanted her to have a double mastectomy, but it was something she “was not ready for”.

Instead, Ananda opted to focus on making changes she had control over. The TV star said: “My plan at first was to get out the excessive toxins in my body. I felt like my body is intelligent. I know that to be true. Our bodies are brilliantly made. I decided to keep my tumor and try to work it out of my body a different way.

“Looking back on that, I go, ‘You know what? Maybe I should have [had a double mastectomy]’. My lymph system really flared up. It was the first time I ever had a conversation with death because I felt like, this is how it is.”

Ananda’s sister, Lakshmi, confirmed that Ananda passed away at 11:35am at her home in Los Angeles, where she was receiving hospice care. In tribute, Lakshmi shared an emotional post on Facebook which read: “She’s free and in His heavenly arms [heart emojis]. Lord, rest her soul [prayer hands emoji].”

A former Playboy bunny has opened up about her time in the infamous house and one of her biggest regrets. Kendra Wilkinson lived in the lavish mansion with Hugh Hefner, Holly Madison and Bridget Marquardt between 2004 and 2008, but admits there is one thing she would change.

The Girls Next Door star, now 40, confessed she wishes she changed career sooner. Now a realtor, Kendra admitted she feels as though she would have lost out on a lot of potential celebrity clients by not going into the business during her time in the mansion.

And Kendra says it’s her “only regret”. She said: “The only thing I can say I regret in my life is not starting my real estate career while I was living at the Playboy Mansion.”

Speaking to Fox News on the red carpet at the Operation Smile 25th Los Angeles Smile Fiesta, Kendra went on: “Like, I mean, I was surrounded by everyone, every celebrity, every billionaire, and what was I thinking? But I’m now in real estate, so I’m good.”

She began her current career path in June 2020 after passing the California real estate exam. Her role has been followed in a number of reality TV series, including 2021’s Kendra Sells Hollywood. The show on Discovery+ and Max followed the former model as she navigated the ups and downs of her new career in Los Angeles’ hugely competitive luxury real estate market.

She previously labelled the real estate industry as “so stressful” but declared her love for it. Speaking to PEOPLE, she said: “I want to publicly hate real estate again, but I can’t, because I love it. I love real estate. It’s a challenge every single day.”

She had previously opened up on her mental health struggles due to the mansion, saying she hit “rock bottom”. Kendra explained how she reached out to ex-husband Hank Baskett, whom she split from in 2018, and recalled feeling like she had no control over her head or her body as was in a “state of panic”.

Despite her latest comments, Kendra said at the time that Playboy had “really messed up my whole life”. Speaking in a candid interview with People in 2024, mother-of-two Kendra said of her 2023 hospitalisation: “I was dying of depression.

“I was hitting the end of my life, and I went into psychosis. I felt like I wasn’t strong enough to live anymore,” she admitted, adding that it was the “lowest place I’ve ever been in my life”.

Kendra said she has had to “face my demons” and admitted she had a lot of issues that began when she was only 15. She recalled struggling with depression before she entered the Playboy Mansion.

She explained how she “drank a lot” to cover up her misery, but that later manifested into “deep regret” when she left Hugh, who was 60 years older than her, to start a new life with Hank.

Liam Payne’s Netflix show sees One Direction star living his dream for final time

Netflix have released a first look trailer and release date for new music competition show Building The Band – starring former One Direction star Liam Payne as a guest judge

A first look trailer and release date for Netflix’s new show Building The Band, featuring Liam Payne as a guest judge has been revealed. The show, which was filmed months before the star’s tragic death, will feature a Love Is Blind format in which singers will audition for each other and choose their own bandmates before even seeing them.

The talent show will see the late Liam Payne in the judging panel alongside Nicole Scherzinger, Kelly Rowland and a number of guest judges along the way.

The trio filmed the show alongside host, Backstreet Boys star AJ McClean, in summer 2024, just months before the One Direction stars untimely death.

Netflix had previously delayed the release of the show as the producers and family were weighing Payne’s inclusion in the series. The show has now given a release date of July 9, as the team and Liam’s family decided to move forward with Liam remaining in the series.

The show is set to run over three weeks with two episodes releasing weekly on July 9, July 16 and July 23.

“Liam Payne’s family reviewed the series and is supportive of his inclusion,” Netflix said in a statement.

Now, the streamer have released a first look trailer for the new show. Netflix fans may recognise the set up, which looks similar to the Love Is Blind pods.

During the trailer, fans can see hopeful bandmembers enter the pods, with contestant Donzell taking centre stage. Fellow contestants are blown away by his voice, as they listen in to build their very own band based on musical compatibility, connection, chemistry and raw talent.

The trailer does not show Liam, or any of the judges, or directly mention his involvement in the show. His involvement was announced before his tragic death, with the star taking part in filming in August 2024 in Manchester, England.

Liam Payne died in October 2024 at age 31 after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Following Liam’s tragic death, his former One Direction bandmates released a joint statement which read: “We’re completely devastated by the news of Liam’s passing.

“In time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say. But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly. The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever.

“For now, our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and the fans who loved him alongside us. We will miss him terribly. We love you Liam.”
