After his cheating scandal was exposed, Phillip Schofield’s television career was in disarray, but new details about his earnings have now been revealed, demonstrating how much he’s had to step back from the spotlight.

Philip Schofield’s telly career may have hit the buffers, but fresh details about the former This Morning host’s earnings have come to light. The 63-year-old presenter, who bravely came out as gay in 2020, remains wedded to his wife Stephanie despite the furore surrounding his relationship with a younger colleague which brought his career to a halt and led to his exit from This Morning in 2023.

Despite Phil’s career taking a nosedive following the scandal two years ago, his financial ties and family bond with Stephanie remain solid. New figures reported by MailOnline reveal that Phil pocketed a mere £20,000 last year, a far cry from the seven-figure salary he once raked in from ITV.

According to records from his business, Fistral Productions, the company’s tax filings for the year that ended in November 2024 indicate a decline in income.

Despite his career bleakness, the company still boasts net assets of £2.1 million, which helps him remain financially secure. Stephanie, his wife since 1993, is still listed as a director, and her name appears in recent records rather than his.

Moreover, the accounts reveal the firm is owed nearly £900,000 by Fistral Properties, another business venture jointly owned by the former couple, reports the Daily Record.

Phil continues to wear his wedding ring and enjoy his family home despite facing public condemnation for his actions. Despite admitting to being gay when he married Stephanie, he still cares about her.

Phil once described his “perfect life” as a husband and father as a “perfect life,” saying he didn’t want anything to compromise their happiness.

The TV presenter, however, was aware of the serious harm he had caused to his wife Stephanie, and said, “That’s what makes this so difficult. I’m aware that you’re not the ideal person, but Steph and I still adore each other. More likely, I suppose.

Stephanie explained to the media that she didn’t want her husband to “fall any further” than he already did and that, despite everything, she still believes that “the love is still very much there.”

Phil made a fleeting television comeback last year, but he has mostly stayed out of the public eye since his dramatic collapse more than two years ago.

Last September, he and his daughter Molly and lifelong mate Scott Brown were spotted dining al fresco at a hotel in Soho.

Following a day of boozing, the former This Morning presenter was recently caught stumbling onto the pavement and clinging to an unidentified man in London.

Labubu dolls are unavoidable, regardless of whether you adore them or hate them, and it seems like they won’t be going away anytime soon.

The fluffy clip-on creatures have decorated the handbags of A-listers including Blackpink’s Lisa, Rihanna, Kim Kardashian and Dua Lipa, becoming one of the more peculiar fashion trends in recent times.

Manufactured by Chinese toy company Pop Mart, these wearable figures have now conquered the globe, with the BBC revealing in June that customs authorities had confiscated 70,000 counterfeit dolls within days as their appeal skyrocketed.

As appetite for the dolls remains strong, online style influencer and vlogger Emma Chamberlain shared her thoughts on them in today’s instalment (August 24) of her Anything Goes podcast.

During the episode, the 24-year-old analysed Labubus and white vest tops, questioning whether they were “trendy or timeless”, reports OK!

She continued, “They’re cute but they perfectly go with the trend we’ve been discussing for the past year or two, which is Jane Birkin-ing the bag.”

It’s basically hanging a number of key chains, jewelry, and other accessories from a purse to add some style and personalization. The Labubu was already a popular trend before it became available, and we now have a fun collectible stuffed animal to put on our bags. “

She acknowledged to like the way the dolls appear, but she was offended by the extreme demand and the “blind box” packaging, which prevents customers from seeing which Labubu character they are purchasing.

She stated, “The only reason I haven’t bought one is because the culture and the general pattern are too extreme for me right now […]… [There are five-hour lines waiting for a Labubu.

It’s a brilliant business model, but the culture of buying a lot of them and collecting them all, with the result that I’m hesitant to participate. “

She admitted that she would be eager to purchase one from the secondhand market as soon as Labubu owners were no longer interested in the trend.

“I would honestly rather wait until all these people that bought the Labubus are like ‘Oh wait I’m sick of it’ and then they start putting them on eBay for really cheap. Then maybe I’ll get one because I do like them.

The BBC has spoken out about Hozier’s performance at Reading Festival and explained the reason behind his performance not being broadcast. The Reading and Leeds headliner reportedly had an agreement with the broadcaster for his performance to not be shown on iPlayer.

On August 22, Hozier took to the stage with a performance that went beyond the music to express his passionate opinions on issues such as equality, rap group Kneecap, and Palestine.

He began by examining famous people throughout history who have used music to deliver speeches, including name-checking stars like Nina Simone, Woody Guthrie, Joan Baez, and Ewan MacColl.

He went on to say: “I think people want to see human beings live in peace and safety, and security. I think that people would want to see that for their neighbours. They would want to see that for members of their community. I believe that people would want to see people they don’t know live with peace and safety, and security. Am I right?” It comes as Katie releases a statement after Alex Reid leaks bombshell cash counting video

The musician continued, “Seeing a Palestine that is free from occupation, that is free from these cycles of genocide and violence, and that is free to move toward meaningful self-determination and statehood” for the sake of everyone in the Middle East.

While many artists were livestreamed onto BBC iPlayer, Hozier was not and many fans were left disappointed. The BBC has responded to the criticism and explained in a statement to The Metro why Hozier’s set was not broadcast.

The statement read: “Viewers can enjoy a wide range of performances and highlights from Reading and Leeds Festival on BBC iPlayer, BBC Music’s YouTube channel, BBC One and Radio 1. As mutually agreed ahead of Reading Festival, Hozier chose not to be included in the BBC’s coverage.”

Following backlash over live-streaming Bob Vylan’s set at Glastonbury, the BBC announced it would no longer be showing any performances it believed might be “high risk” in the future.

The band’s set was live-streamed as they performed before Kneecap’s set on the West Holts Stage at Worthy Farm. The band chanted “Free Palestine” and “Death to the IDF” before moving on.

Cheryl Fergison is best known for playing hapless Heather Trott in EastEnders. But, as her explosive new autobiography, Behind The Scenes, reveals, her life off-screen was often more dramatic than her plotlines in the BBC1 soap.

“I have always worn my heart on my sleeve, so I hope my story is relatable,” says Cheryl, who has bravely revealed how she suffered a stroke in May, which has left her walking with a stick.

I’ve had to accept a lot of things. Before I could talk about it, I had to process it. The moment is right now.

When Cheryl, who played Heather from 2007 to 2012, realized Jay Saddiqi, the father of her 25-year-old son, was cheating, she climbed into the car and realized it.

Why, Jay, can I feel the perfume on my seatbelt? I remarked, “Sniffing it like a bloodhound.”

He slammed his head against his face, and his eyes flashed in a resentment. Cheryl, you’re imagining things.

“‘ I’m not. It has a strong foundation. I can tell right away that I once again held the strap in my nose.

Jay sighed loudly and slammed his steering wheel. It’s most likely one of the young people at work. Their aftershave, perhaps? You’re acting paranoidly.

Oh, please stop.” When did the security firm’s employees first smell like duty-free perfume shops?

He walked away from the windscreen and glared at him. What do we do when we go shopping?

Every time I enter a car and buckle up my seatbelt, I smell it, to this day.

“I started to think that my husband was having an affair with me, but I was able to persuade myself that I was wrong.”

Jay was seated next to her, caught in the headlights, and silently and still unwilling to offer any assistance. Not even an ounce of shame, not even an apology, or an explanation.

James Norton has addressed rumours of a romance with Lily Allen that emerged following reports the pair allegedly shared a kiss. Speaking about a story from June involving a supposed “snog” with the ‘Smile’ singer at the Lido Festival in London’s Victoria Park, James hinted that the reality becomes clear when you examine the photographs.

During a recent chat with the Guardian, the subject of relationships came up with the King & Conqueror actor, who parted ways with his former fiancée Imogen Poots in 2023, along with what the publication described as the “oppressive” scrutiny that his romantic life attracts.

He stated that he constantly strikes a balance between “authenticity with privacy” and that he doesn’t want to talk about his relationships “at all” and doesn’t like being spotted by paparazzi.

James explained: “I want to be honest but I don’t want to talk about my relationships at all and I don’t like it when I get photographed with a friend walking down the street and it’s then told the next day like it’s a romance. Another romance!”

Additionally, it became clear that this discussion took place just one week before the festival incident. James responded to accusations of kissing the singer by saying, “I’m not snogging them!” Isn’t that funny, isn’t it?

He continued, “I’m a man in London who goes on occasional dates, meets people, lives his life, and it’s kind of nobody’s business really.”

The Sun published the allegations, stating that the duo were spotted at the festival watching Charli XCX’s performance before heading to a “backstage compound”.

According to a “onlooker,” James and Lily “looked very inward and were snogging backstage.” We were all quite taken aback when we saw them together, let alone kissing.

Additionally, the publication claimed that Paul Mescal and Harris Dickinson were present at the after-party and that Lily and James allegedly got married via Raya, a popular dating app.

She continued, “I’m really enjoying those at the moment. It’s obvious that I’ve had a lot of trouble, and that has really helped me.”
