Musician Jarvis Cocker has said that “life became dark” after he stormed the stage during a performance by Michael Jackson at the BRIT Awards over two decades ago. He’s said that the aftermath was “difficult” for him to handle.

The incident happened at the music awards ceremony in 1996, where Michael performed Earth Song. It was later suggested that the late singer, who was joined on stage by a group that included children, portrayed himself as a “Christ-like figure with the power of healing” in the performance.

Jarvis, now 61 – who’s a member of the rock band Pulp – is said to have headed onto the stage during the performance in “protest”. It’s been reported that he pretended to ‘moon’ the audience and footage shows him making what’s been described as a “wafting gesture” during his stunt on stage.

As previously reported, Jarvis was accused of “harming” three children who were on stage at the time. However, he wasn’t prosecuted though and that all charges were dropped.

In an interview that was released this week, Jarvis reflected on the incident. Before leaving the stage, the outlet claimed that after running on stage, he “waggled his behind” and “lifted up his jacket.”

He continued, “At first, it seemed bad: they accused me of abducting kids off stage and stuff, and I had a bare bottom as well, which wasn’t true. He added that “everyone” was aware of who he was after the incident.

Jarvis said to Mojo: “I’d always wanted to be famous, but you can’t decide on the level of fame that you’re going to get, and that sent me into an overload of it.” He added that it was for a “quite out-of-character thing” rather than for his music.

The former radio host claimed that when things “couldn’t go out” anymore, they became “really difficult to handle.” Before adding, “It took me a long time to go into, over ten years for sure,” he claimed that “life became dark.” However, Jarvis claimed he “did it,” so he “can’t complain.”

Jarvis has previously spoken about the incident and the aftermath. He told the New York Times in 2020 that he suddenly became “crazily recognised”. He told the outlet that he wasn’t “equipped” for the level of fame that he experienced.

After sharing that it had a “detrimental effect” on his mental health, Jarvis said that he was “saved” by the late David Bowie. He said: “There was an accusation that I’d knocked some kids off the stage. I’d been arrested. The only footage that’d been released was like a CCTV camera, and you couldn’t see what was happening.”

He recalled that David was present with his own camera crew for the BRIT Awards that year while receiving a lifetime achievement award. According to Jarvis, the charges were dropped after their release days later when they released their footage. He claimed that it was one of the things he “grated” David for.

Celebrity Big Brother star Chris Hughes stunned viewers with an admission over house pal JoJo Siwa. As the pair spoke to each other in bed, the Love Island star confessed he “would” kiss the reality TV star, despite her having a partner.

When the duo joked they could share a kiss, they were talking about the Lady and the Tramp spaghetti scene. Chris pretended to kiss JoJo’s lips while keeping her eyes closed, but instead he touched her with his finger and kissed her forehead.

She responded, “I know,” before laughing and saying, “Sucks to be you. I guess I’ll have to go kiss you.” Chris then admitted that he “probably would” kiss her.

Chris continued, “No, just saying I probably would, that’s all.” Simply put, it’s just a compliment.

Daley Thompson, the most recent victee, responded when he was asked if he was surprised by Chris’ comment. “No, I am not shocked,” he replied. Do you watch in there at night because you see so much more than I see?

Did you see me getting up and using the restroom, he added? Are those two in the same bed, though, occasionally when I wake up in the middle of the night?

Then, Will said, “They do spoon and talk a little.”

On Twitter/X, viewers shared their thoughts on the moment. One user wrote: “Chris said he wants to kiss JoJo and when she said “sucks to be you” he started putting lip balm on and reiterated “yeah just saying I probably would, it’s a compliment that’s all” #CBBUK #CBBLL.”

Another person called Chris saying that he wants to kiss Jojo and that she should take it as a compliment. “I’m not here for this #cbbuk #cbbll,” she said.

Chris and JoJo have had a firm friendship since entering the Big Brother house. While their bond has raised questions among viewers, Chris’ brother Ben was quick to defend his sibling . Chris and JoJo have been raising eyebrows with their friendship as viewers watched as they massaged each other, danced together and cuddled in bed.

Chris’ brother, who appeared on the spin-off series Late and Live on Thursday, claimed the dance moms icon and the Love Island star simply have the “identical energy.” He then explained how they have gotten so close since the show’s debut earlier this month.

He asserted that Chris and JoJo’s friendship stems from their shared energy and obvious friendship.

Donald Trump dealt major blow as Elton John makes huge announcement

Elton John and co-star Brandi Carlile have collaborated to reduce the $450 million (£339 million) funding for HIV and AIDS research, as a result of Donald Trump’s administration’s recent reduction in that amount.

Sir Elton John has expressed outrage over Donald Trump’s significant cuts to the federal budget for HIV research, emphasising that care for the condition should be “prioritised and protected”. The cuts have resulted in the elimination of at least 145 grants, totalling over £339 million.

In response, Elton John and Brandi Carlile, a collaborator, have joined forces to launch the Who Believes in Angels campaign, which is aimed at addressing the urgent global humanitarian crisis brought on by recent cuts in funding for HIV/AIDS in the United States.

The duo will match donations from the public to increase the impact of this initiative, which is named after their new chart-topping album. The campaign will be led by Brandi’s Looking Out Foundation and the Elton John AIDS Foundation, whose goals are to prevent a “global health crisis.”

The superstar singer launched the Elton John AIDS Foundation back in 1992 and it has become a leader in the global response to HIV. Since 1992, the foundationhas raised more than $600 million to support over 3,100 projects in 95 countries globally to increase access to health care, tackle LGBTQ+ stigma, and end AIDS.

In a statement Sir Elton John stated: “Without prompt action, decades of progress in the global fight against HIV could be reversed, creating a global health crisis that we have both the power and the tools to prevent.” He further highlighted the importance of their mission, saying: “Our mission is more important than ever – we refuse to leave anyone behind – and I’m so fortunate that Brandi is not only a wonderful collaborator and artist, but a dear friend who shares my vision of a world where HIV care is prioritised and protected.”, reports the Express.

To support scientists in their quest for a breakthrough in preventing HIV transmission and improving the quality of life for those affected by the condition, Elton and Brandi have set an ambitious goal of raising at least £1 million.

The UK’s Labour party has set a bold goal to eradicate all new HIV cases by 2030, and they’re planning to unveil an action plan this coming July. Demonstrating his commitment to the cause, Keir Starmer took a public HIV test, marking him as the first G20 leader to do so and raising the profile of HIV awareness significantly.

However, Donald Trump’s recent funding cuts raise significant questions about whether they will hinder global progress and possibly prevent the UK from achieving its ambitious goal of preventing new HIV transmissions.

Let’s keep the momentum going and donate now, Brandi’s foundation announced in response to the urgent need for support. “Every donation will be matched by LOF, up to $100, 000, double your impact to protect HIV prevention and care services across the U.S. and around the world.

Daley Thompson leaves Celebrity Big Brother fans stunned after Will Best jibe

Daley Thompson, a famous Big Brother star, was quick to criticize show host Will Best after he was the third star to be expelled from the renowned ITV house.

Viewers of Celebrity Big Brother were stunned by Daley Thompson’s exit interview. The former Olympian became the third housemate to be evicted from the ITV house – and the fourth in total following Mickey Rourke’s early exit.

However, after coming out of the house to a mix of boos and applause, Daley sat down with hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best. As they had back and forth in the exit interview, Daley repeatedly told the duo they should try a stint in the house at some point.

On one occasion, Will responded by telling the sportsman he doesn’t think he is famous enough to be involved in the lineup. Brutally, Daley jibed back in agreement. And his comments were quickly picked by viewers at home who took to X, formerly known as Twitter to share their shock at his bluntness.

One user claimed, “Way Daley just rinsed Will!” A skull and crossbones emoji followed one further, “OMG not Daley telling CBB host Will Best that he’s not famous enough for #CBBUK”, while another added, “OMG not Daley telling CBB host Will Best that he’s not not known enough for #CBBUK.”

A fourth apparently agreed, saying, “Daley you rude b*****d leave Will Best ALONE #CBBUK,” while another fumed, “Wow daley don’t be coming for ar will best #CBBUK.”

He stated in his exit interview that he was “quite happy to come out” despite having wished for more time. No matter what goes on there, the public is a lot out there, he claimed. He continued, “They have been funny, revealing, and great people,” adding that he had not “high hopes” for his housemates.

He went on to reflect on other housemates games on Late and Live. Daley said he wasn’t trying to win and added: “It’s not something I had any control over.

While all the people in there are all performative artists, there are some professional reality stars, and if you practice doing that consistently, you will know how to play the game. All you can do, I believe is, all I could do is try to be who I am.

The eviction followed Ella Rae Wise being tasked with being catty and mocking her fellow housemates. She initially said she would find the task difficult as she is not normally mean.

She got to work though and went around her fellow housemates to dish the dirt. She hit out at Daley Thompson winning “only” two medals before telling Jack P Shephard his Coronation Street character should be killed off as he doesn’t do much.

She also mocked Chris Hughes for getting to the Love Island final before telling Chesney Hawkes she didn’t recognise his number one music hit.

Sadly, she fell short of her obligations after disclosing her behavior and making people suspicious. When Jimmy Chestney questioned, “Do you believe Ella is on a task?” Danny Beard responded, “Yes, she’s got to be catty, play along guys.”

Angellica Bell and Jack P. Shepherd had to get home all the milk out of the house without being caught by their coworkers. Where else,

Celeb Big Brother fans divided after Chris Hughes and Chesney Hawkes ‘serious’ clash

Fans who tuned in to the Friday night show Celebrity Big Brother were stung by the karaoke feud between Love Island star Chris Hughes and singer Chesney Hawkes.

Tensions appeared to erupt in the Celebrity Big Brother house in scenes that aired on Friday night – leaving viewers torn over a possible bitter feud. Fans of the reality show tuned in at the end of the week for the live eviction – which would see either EastEnders star Patsy Palmer or Olympic hero Daley Thompson given their marching orders.

However, the housemates let down their hair after completing a task with a cat in the day before’s highlights. A karaoke party with a host of songs available for the stars to perform was a reward for the family.

However, Bob Marley and the Wailers’ song Three Little Birds and chart-topping star Chesney Hawkes and Love Island star Chris Hughes reportedly got in trouble. Chesney pointed out that Daley had chosen the song as the one he wanted to perform when Chris began to sing the song.

Ella Rae Wise, the star of TOWIE, and Chris took to the stage and declared, “We’re going to sing, Three Little Bird.” However, Daley reacted with the statement, “No you’re not,” and Chesney yelled, “No you’re f***ing not!”

Chris was being questioned about the fact that he was singing the song, Chesney said, “We already took that one.” Are you going to have a fight with Thompson if you don’t? Chesney and Daley were then invited to perform the song’s iconic song at the microphones by Chris. However, the other two rejected the offer, and Chesney later claimed he was joking throughout the discussion but insisted he was no longer friends with Chris.

Then, it became clear whether or not Chris was genuinely annoyed and whether or not he was. In a once-in-a-lifetime conversation, Chesney made an appearance to try to settle things down by asking Chris, “Are you f***ing eyeballing me?” in reference to an erupting feud between Chris and Hollywood star Mickey Rourke, who had since been ejected.

However, Chris refused to acknowledge the in-joke and steamrolled on to Chesney’s question about his level of resentment. Meanwhile, Daley lamented that the two had gotten into a fight over karaoke.

Viewers, housemates and even Celebrity Big Brother hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best were unsure if the argument had been real or not. Later, Chris took Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd to one side and said: “I thought Chesney and Daley were kicking off.”

However, Jack later admitted that Chesney was “one hundred percent serious.” And AJ and Will later admitted their convictions that the One and Only singer was serious.

One fan wrote, “I’m not being funny, but I feel really awkward watching Chesney now,” in response to the argument on X. Although I am aware of why he behaved in that manner, I don’t believe it was that serious or that he was required to be so. #CBBUK”.

Another wrote, “But Chesney was obviously taking things seriously.” Some viewers then remarked that Chris made an effort to lighten the tone, with one commenting, “One of my favorite things about this series is how the housemates bring out,” “I’m eyeballing you, man”? When they need to lift their spirits, #CBBUK.

And yet another typo: “and #chris misses the joke by talking over him. Are you f***ing eyeballing me. again #CBBUK”.

Fans now believe there might be consequences when the stars enter the Diary Room to submit their nominations. On X, someone wrote, “I wish I could wager that Chesney and Chris would vote for each other in the #CBBUK nominations.”

Inside Colin Farrell’s relationship with disabled son after heartbreaking decision

After focusing on finding a place to “live a happy life,” Colin Farrell made the heartbreaking decision to enroll his 21-year-old son in a long-term care facility.

Colin Farrell has had to make the difficult choice to take care of his son.

Oscar-nominated Irish actor Colin Farrell has opened up about one of the most difficult decisions of his life – placing his 21-year-old son, James, into a long-term care facility.

James, who was born in 2003, was misdiagnosed with cerebral palsy as a toddler. It wasn’t until he was around two and a half that doctors correctly identified Angelman syndrome – a rare genetic disorder that affects the nervous system and causes severe physical and learning disabilities.

Nonverbal and needing round-the-clock support, James’s life expectancy is near-normal, but he will always require assistance. “It’s tricky,” Colin said in a recent interview with Candis Magazine.

Some parents will say, “I want to take care of my child myself,” and I agree with that. What would be my horror, however, if James’ mother had a car accident tomorrow and I had a heart attack? James is then independent.

While James is still alive and well, Colin and Kim made the wise decision to assist him in entering the care system.

We want to find a place where he can live a full and content life and feel connected, Colin said.

The Batman actor has long been open about raising James, both personally and professionally. From James’ first steps at age four to learning to feed himself by age 19, he has spoken poignantly about the misdiagnosis, the emotional toll, and the small victories.

He told InStyle, “We share in the smallest victories.” I nearly nearly split up when James took his first steps.

Colin also revealed that James, who had struggled with addiction for years, was the catalyst for his decision to end his drug habit in 2006. He once said, “I wasn’t suicidal, but I never had much of a will to live a long time. I want to be his friend and his father as my son grows up.

James’s conservatorship will continue to be managed by Colin and Kim, who filed for him in 2021 in addition to overseeing his medical care, legal affairs, and personal affairs.

The actor’s passion for supporting adult children with intellectual disabilities led to the establishment of the Colin Farrell Foundation, which he helped to establish as a result of his concern for James as he grew into adulthood.

Farrell has used his platform to promote Angelman syndrome and draw attention to the struggles of families who deal with special needs through their experiences.

He made the decision to speak out publicly about James for the first time at the 2007 Special Olympics in Shanghai, saying, “He has enriched my life… but I don’t want to minimize the struggles that so many families go through.”
