One fan had to be rushed out of Oasis’ reunion gig in Cardiff tonight on a stretcher after falling ill. During tonight’s reunion gig, Noel and Liam finally reunited after 16 years – but there was chaos in the crowd when one ill fan was given medical assistance.
There was a medical incident in the crowd and one person had to be taken off on a stretcher. An onlooker revealed that one gig goer was seen being carried off by the medical crew, with people waving to get out of the way.
The woman who needed medical help was being guided across the front of the stage in the pit area, right by the barrier. The incident happened during the band’s song D’You Know What I Mean, before they went on to sing Stand By Me.
The gig is Oasis’ first for several years, with the brothers – Noel and Liam Gallagher – having famously fallen out. The band are now back together and are set for a huge world tour, with fans stunned to see them back on stage together once more.

Ahead of the tour, Noel had given an interview where he discussed the huge universal appeal of Oasis.
“A new generation recognises how Oasis wasn’t manufactured. It was chaotic, and flawed, and not technically brilliant. We were rough and ready guys from a rehearsal room, and people recognised it,” he said, “I didn’t invent anything. I had good taste in music, a cool record collection, I could write a melody simple enough to make it work, and it was 50% inspiration and 50% copying. “
In a separate interview, Liam spoke about their reunion. Asked what makes a great frontman, he said: “I mean being able to sing is good. Just getting on with your job and doing it, and trying to get a vibe going and looking cool. “
One Oasis fan revealed she had sold her ticket to the opening gig after a comment Liam had made. Ahead of the first show, Liam faced a backlash for using a racial slur on X, with one person responding to him: “Liam, you can’t say that. “

Following the incident, Liam removed the tweet and apologised for any offence caused. He wrote: “Sorry if I offended anyone with my tweet before it wasn’t intentional you know I love you all and I do not discriminate. Peace and love LG x”.
However, one fan decided to sell her ticket after his post. She had said: “I’ve been I’ve been a huge fan since 2017. All of my adolescence I was just listening to Oasis – it got me through life and the music really saved my life.
“But I kind of stopped being a fan two days ago because what Liam said is completely not acceptable. As an Asian and as a Chinese person I could not deal with it just by keeping silent and accepting what he was saying. I just can’t participate in that anymore. Otherwise it will be disrespectful for my own community where I come from. “

Noel Gallagher needed a brief moment to collect himself as he and brother Liam took to the stage for Oasis’ first concert in 16 years. The iconic band took to the stage at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on Friday night with over 70,000 emotional fans attending the historical event.
While singing Half The World Away, Noel stopped singing for a couple of bars and looked emotional as he took in the scenes in front of him. The group started off their long-awaited set with Hello before Liam told the crowd: “Hey beautiful people it’s been too long,. “
There was a Knebworth vibe to the show as it kicked off, with a football floating around in the crowd.

The second song performed was Acquiesce. Liam then delivered his address before the band belted out Morning Glory.
After performing Roll With It, Liam walked off the stage with Noel taking over the singing duties. Before starting the song, Noel seemingly referenced the dynamic pricing scandal by quoting the audience a price before exclaiming: “It’s just gone up! “
Not long after, an audience member was seen getting put on a stretcher and lead through the crowd by security. The medical crew rushed to the stretcher, which was taken out on Noel’s side of the stage as D’You Know What I Mean played.

The hotly-anticipated tour is the culmination of months of speculation, a feverish ticket sale and a long 16 year wait from fans.
A shock comeback was unveiled in August 2024, with the band declaring: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised. ”
A chaotic rush for tickets followed with 17 dates announced across London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Cardiff and Dublin before the band announced more concerts in North America, Mexico, South Korea, Japan, Australia, Chile and Argentina – giving fans around the world the chance to hear the hits live again.
Before Oasis came on stage on Friday, fans watched as Cast and Richard Ashcroft performed.
One of Noel Gallagher’s ex-wives was even spotted in the crowd. Meg Mathews, who was married to the rocker from 1997 until 2001, was in good spirits as she prepared to watch Richard.
Meg wasn’t the only one keen to watch Richard perform, with Noel spotted sneaking into the crowd to catch the remainder of his set just minutes before he was due to take to the stage.

A string of famous faces are in the crowds as Oasis reunites after 16 years. Tonight’s gig in Cardiff marks over a decade since Noel and Liam Gallagher performed with one another.
The band were seen walking to the stage with their song ‘F**king in the Bushes’ before they then started performing their song ‘Hello’. The crowd welcomed them with cheers at the sold out gig.
In the audience was the likes of EastEnders star Danny Dyer as well as Line Of Duty actress Vicky McClure. Vernon Kay also posed for pictures outside Principality Stadium.
“Hey, beautiful people, it’s been too long,” Liam told the crowd, which has also included the likes of Glastonbury founder Emily Eavis as well as Dominic Mohan and Andy Goldstein.

Meg Mathews – Noel’s ex-wife – was also spotted at the gig, The Mirror can exclusively reveal. Noel and Meg’s daughter Anais was also seen at the venue. Earlier today, Meg shared a string of snaps of her and Noel, writing alongside it: “TODAY IS THE DAY 4th July 2025 Finally here ….OASIS REUNION TOUR, Britpop was a British music and cultural movement that peaked in the mid-1990s, characterized by a revival of British guitar pop from the 1960s and 1970s, in contrast to American grunge.

“It was not just a genre, but a reactionary and patriotic cultural response, celebrating British identity, working-class roots, and everyday life. To everyone who’s there when they walk on the stage at 8. 15pm will be a piece of history. “
Referencing the photo, she added: “That night was a lot of fun can’t remember what after party gig it was . . back then there was always one which I was in charge of organising through @creationrecords money and fun had no limit back then. “

Meg had recently been forced to deny they were back together after she posted snaps of them kissing. During a 2020 interview with the Irish Mirror, Meg admitted she used to get terrible PTSD. She said: “I came through the marriage. Everything was public. At the end of the day I did not have the cog or the PR world that that person (Noel) had.
“I was just the ex-wife. I had nobody. I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t have a press agent, wasn’t famous, I just had a daughter. I used to get terrible PTSD. In 1997 I was the third most written about woman. It was Lady Diana, The Spice Girls and me. “
For those fans hoping to get a last minute ticket to Oasis’ reunion gigs, the band are set to release a few final tickets. In a statement, they said: “As the shows are getting closer, Oasis promoters may be able to release a very limited number of additional tickets for sale once final sight lines are checked and the production is fine tuned. These final production releases will happen over the coming days. “

Liam Gallagher told the crowd ‘it’s been too long’ as he and brother Noel Gallagher took to the stage on Friday evening for the first night of the Oasis reunion tour. Thousands of people flocked to Cardiff for the iconic event after the brothers finally made up following a 16-year feud.
After Cast and Richard Ashcroft took to the stage, fans eagerly awaited the arrival of Oasis. When they finally got to the stage, the kicked off the night with their hit, Hello, before moving onto Acquiesce. Liam soon told the thousands of attendees: “Hey beautiful people. It’s been too long,” and then swiftly transitioned into Morning Glory.

The Manchester brothers swaggered out into the Principality Stadium to incredible noise from the crowd tonight, for the biggest rock reunion the world has ever seen.

Noel and Liam, who have only been snapped together twice since announcing the tour almost a year ago, went straight into their hits as 70,000 fans cheered in the stadium.
It was estimated more than 100,000 people travelled to Cardiff yesterday, with some hoping to get a last minute ticket or just to be there to celebrate in the pubs and bars as they parties late into the night with Oasis songs played on loop.
Super fans Lachlan Weekes and Jayden Helm, who travelled all the way from Australia to attend the concert in the Welsh capital, were among fans gathering ahead of the gig.
Mr Weekes said: “We’ve been planning it forever. We always said that if they got back together, we’d be at that first show. ” Mr Helm said: “We’ve been lifelong fans – we’re 22 and 21, so haven’t really had a chance to see them before.
“We always said it was worth it to come, we wouldn’t miss it for the world,” he added. “To take time off work to come over here, it’s more than worth it. ” The pair also visited Manchester, where the band formed in 1991, stopping off at Heaton Park as part of their personal Oasis tour.
Alex Schuetz, an Oasis fan from Germany, said you could not travel far enough to see the band. “The first time I saw them was in 1997,” he said.
“The last time was in Manchester 2009, just before they broke up. I even got a ticket for a small festival in Germany, and on the ferry to that festival, I heard they broke up. I was like, ‘Oh my god’ something was dying inside of me – it sounds a bit stupid, but it took me ages (to get over it). ” He added: “I’ve come from Germany. You cannot travel far enough, I’ve been a fan since 1995. ”

Noel and Liam Gallagher have walked out on stage together in Cardiff – reuniting Oasis and ending a row which has lasted over a decade.
The Manchester brothers swaggered out into the Principality Stadium to incredible noise from the crowd for the biggest rock reunion the world has ever seen. Walking to the stage with their song “F**king in the Bushes” playing, they wasted no time as they performed their hit “Hello. ” The sold-out crowd welcomed them with cheers as thousands of pints were thrown into the air.
Having finished their first track, the crowd were treated to Acquiesce, which first appeared as a B-side to their first UK Number One single, Some Might Say. “Hey, beautiful people, it’s been too long,” Liam said as he addressed the crowd before performing their 1995 mega-hit, Morning Glory.
In true Liam style, he made a cheeky remark to the crowd, joking: “I see you’re all on the glue still down there! ” As the concert continued, Liam told the crowd to turn around, with everyone’s arms over each other and bounce for their 1994 mega-hit, Cigarettes & Alcohol.

But while the brothers are Manchester legends, the crowd cheekily booed Liam when he asked who in the crowd was from their hometown. “Anybody here from Manchester? Anyone here from Burn-aaage? ” he asked. Liam briefly left the stage while Noel performed the emotional track, Half The World Away, released 1998.
During the concert, the two brothers also shared a moving tribute to the late Liverpool FC footballer, Diogo Jota, who died on Thursday. As they performed the track Live Forever, an image of Jota wearing his signature Number 20 top was shown across the stadium. Liverpool has since announced that they will retire the number forever, in a mark of respect.

The brothers announced the Oasis Live ’25 tour last August, starting with two dates in Cardiff on Friday and Saturday, before heading across the UK and Ireland. In the tour programme Noel reflected on playing with Oasis and his brother, saying: “People will never forget the way you made them feel. ”
He also mused about why so many people of all ages tried to get tickets for the Oasis Live 25 tour. Noel said: “A new generation recognises how Oasis wasn’t manufactured. Liam has been vocal for weeks on X, formerly Twitter, about the gigs. Asked how he felt to be performing with Noel again he said: “You know what it’s spiritual but I can’t help think about all those wasted years, what a waste of PRECIOUS time. ”
Liam also claimed last year he was the one to wave the olive branch in terms of them getting back together. He said: “I called him but don’t tell anyone as I don’t want folk thinking I’m a soft lad and stuffs keep it between me n you cheers. “
The reunion announcement last year came 15 years after Noel quit the Britpop band, saying he “simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer”, following a backstage brawl at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris.
While fans have been pleading for the group to reunite since they disbanded, website issues and controversial dynamic pricing brought outrage, with many failing to secure a spot.
After tickets for the UK and Ireland shows went on sale last year, some standard tickets appeared to have jumped from £148 to £355.
The controversy prompted the Government and the UK’s competition watchdog to pledge to look at the use of dynamic pricing. Following Cardiff, Oasis will visit Manchester’s Heaton Park, London’s Wembley Stadium, Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium and Dublin’s Croke Park throughout July, August and September.
The group will then head to Japan, South Korea, South America, Australia and North America. A movie, produced by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, is being made in conjunction with the reunion tour.
The rock band was led by lead guitarist Noel and his frontman brother Liam, during their 18 years together. Oasis signed to independent record label Creation Records in 1993, rising to fame with the release of their debut chart-topping album Definitely Maybe on August 29 1994 followed by (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? Which became one of the biggest selling albums ever released in 1995.

A rock star has admitted his health struggles have taken their toll and “really took the wind out of my sail”. Frontman of Bowling For Soup, Jaret Reddick, has candidly opened up on his condition after needing to cancel a string of gigs.
The 53-year-old musician revealed he has been suffering from a “brutal” flare-up of his ulcerative colitis. He admitted it has been causing him issues since March.
According to NHS, the condition is a long-term condition where the colon and rectum become inflamed. The organisation says that some people may go for weeks or months with very mild symptoms, or none at all. However, it said that during a flare-up, “some people with ulcerative colitis also experience symptoms elsewhere in their body; which are known as extra-intestinal symptoms”.

Taking to social media, the musician shared an update. While sitting in a business class seat on an aeroplane, the singer said: “I fell off the wagon. Many of you have been asking about my health and I appreciate it so much.
“Truth is, the Ulcerative Colitis flare since March has really taken the wind out of my sail. I had to cancel shows, vacation plans, drs appts, and the list goes on. ”

He confessed his medication in a bit to manage symptoms had also been causing issues as he went on: “The steroids make me irritable and ravenous. And I hate both those things! ! “
However he praised those close to him. “My support system has been so gracious in dealing with all of it,” he gushed. Despite his openness, Jaret pleaded with fans to avoid offering him their advice. “I do not need your advice,” he reiterated.
“I’m under several doctors’ care, but I know it’s social media and you want me to do what you think is best. You don’t know me and you don’t know my health. But thank you. “
He admitted he is starting to feel better. And he also confessed he has no intention of slowing down just yet.
After saying he is doing what he can, he said: “This has been a tough year, but also one of the best years of my life. And one of the best years for all things Jaret Reddick!
“Out of the 40 pounds I lost, I gained back 3. I earned it! Haha. I’m back b*****s! ! Watch me spin! ! “

He also shared that it wasn’t just his health that had caused cancellations. His latest concert to mark the July 4 celebrations had been put on ice due to the weather conditions.
He shared: “Due to circumstances out of our control, unfortunately Kerrville’s Fourth on the River is cancelled this year. ” He ended by telling people the the area to stay safe.
