Worthy Farm is already buzzing as thousands have poured through the gates of Glastonbury 2025, with its music performances kicking off in style today. While most festival-goers have their must-see acts circled on the line-up, it’s the secret sets that really set pulses racing – with Lorde already surprising a huge crowd at Woodsies this morning.

Fans have been receiving this year’s lineup for months, with only certain artists appearing on stage and new names popping up all the time. However, regular people are aware of the hidden sets.

Every summer, the festival loves to throw in a few wildcards. It starts with whispers, cryptic clues buried in the programme, and the sort of social media speculation only Glastonbury can ignite. The X (formerly Twitter) page @secretglasto has been working overtime, tipping off eager fans about the biggest surprises. What do we know so far? Let’s take a look!

A source told the Mirror: “It’s sweltering inside the tent given the amount of people crammed inside. Bosses are urging people to stand up off the floor to make room. Some people are leaving as it’s so intense.” However, as the crowd spilled outside the tent, the source added: “Bosses have now shut down Woodsies as crowds are so big with a festival-wide message saying: ‘Woodies is now full’.”

Lewis Capaldi

Over the festival, posters have been adorned with.

Fans were teary-eyed as Lewis Capaldi sang him through a heartfelt moment in his Tourette’s difficult finale two years ago. Survive, a raw track that explores anxiety, voice loss, and that emotional performance, was released today, exactly two years after, which many people think is a clear nod to his imminent return.

Fans have already seen posters revealing his name and a specific time on the website, but no official announcement has yet. However, it almost seems as though he’ll take to the stage when the lyrics, timing, and buzz all come together in this way.

Robbie Williams

Robbie’s been toying with us for weeks, dropping hints about a Glastonbury comeback, three decades after he first crashed the festival as a newly-solo star. At first, fans got excited when he changed his Facebook photo to a 1995 backstage snap but with tour dates abroad, people assumed it was off the cards. .

However, he posted two photos on X this morning, one of which read, “30 years later,” and the other of which featured a plaque stating that “Robbie Williams entered this area without accreditation, authorization, or alignment with prevailing taste. His presence was unwelcome, unofficial, and ultimately unavoidable. The second was the recognizable “Welcome to Glastonbury” sign, which represents a Glasto revival.

Chappell Roan

The mystery act, which is only supposed to be “Patchwork,” will take the stage on Saturday at 6:15pm. Who could possibly be has caused a meltdown on the internet, with theories ranging from Chappell Roan to Pulp to Lorde.

But it was Chappell herself who sparked a frenzy of speculation, posting a snap clutching a patchwork quilt with the caption “insane vibe.” Between the post and the timing, it’s looking very likely the Good Luck, Babe! singer is planning a surprise.

We can anticipate more bombshell appearances as the weekend draws nearer. Because of the unpredictable nature of Glastonbury performances, some of the best moments are frequently unplanned.

Since his split with Samie – and shock separation from ex-girlfriend, Zara McDermott, in December – Sam is now said to be looking for love after taking to ‘Tinder for the illuminati’, Raya, to connect with a whole host of famous faces, who have been granted access to the exclusive dating site.

However, he returned to the scene and began dating Samie, who he had met during a Love Island Aftersun episode.

The pair were spotted embracing in a close-knit embrace last month at Bacchanalia in Mayfair, just before Olivia Attwood’s birthday party. As his fans sat quietly in awe of the potential for a new romance as Sam sat down to watch Samie’s face in his hands.

On the Chloe Mediumship podcast, Samie discussed her exes and remained optimistic about the relationship. She claimed that she had a “gut feeling” about things that “weren’t meant to be,” and that her relationship is currently “positive right now.” She continued, “There’s been no bad stuff at the moment so yeah I suppose it’s all good.” It’s still early days.

Meanwhile, Sam discussed being single on his podcast with co-host Pete.

He stated on Staying Relevant that he felt “ready to go out there” and that he was “ready to start approaching women.”

He continued, “I feel good because the world is currently very nice.” And I’m content, too. No more brave faces are present, causing Pete to proudly declare: “Sam’s ready to date!” ‘”.

Louis Tomlinson’s bizarre Glastonbury camping plans as he stays away from Zara McDermott

ExCLUSIVE: Louis Tomlinson, a former member of One Direction, has been spotted at Glastonbury every year for the past ten years, and his unusual camping arrangements for 2025 are no exception.

Louis Tomlinson has unveiled his own unique camping arrangement – a tent solely for booze. The former One Direction star, 33, is camping with a group of mates at Glastonbury rather than going more upmarket.

And the Back To You singer, who brought a TV to the festival to watch England play an International match last year, has allocated a tent just for drinks. A source told The Mirror: “Louis is determined to make it a weekend to remember and has planned everything with military like precision – including making sure enough booze is available. He has his own tent – and one just for the drinks.”

Girlfriend Zara McDermott, 28, meanwhile, is joining Louis at Glasto, but is thought to be staying off site and not camping with Louis. “Everyone is saying it’s a nice break for him and Zara but it’s a great way also for Zara to meet his mates. It will definitely be a boozy one and not a particularly romantic one,” the source added.

The pair first sparked romance rumors earlier this year when they were captured on a cozy date in Suffolk in March, just a few weeks after Zara split from her long-term partner Sam Thompson.

After enjoying a cozy trip together in Los Angeles, Zara finally revealed their romance on Instagram while having a brunch date with Louis. Since then, it seems like their romance has grown even more since Zara recently supported Louis in Costa Rica.

Last year, Glastonbury Festival-goers were set to miss out on watching England’s big match in the Euros – that was until Louis came prepared. In June last year, the Euros were in full swing as the England’s men’s football team secured its place in the Euros round of 16, with them kicking off their match at 5pm on the Thursday evening of the festival.

However, the game clashed with performances from some of the iconic festival’s top names. Glastonbury made the decision to not show any of the Euros matches, so footie and festival fans needed to try and stream the games on their own devices – a potentially challenging task at Worthy Farm.

However, Louis, who brought his own TV with him so he could watch all the action, made the trip to Glastonbury fully prepared. The Mirror captured a group of people gathered around a TV to prepare for the game.

They prepared the beer and set up the screen so that England could watch Slovakia play. After One Direction hairstylist Louise Teasdale also shared a photo, it was confirmed Louis Tomlinson and his group of friends.

Louis was referred to as a “hero” at the time because he made sure festivalgoers didn’t miss out on the big game. This year, will Louis have another clever bicep? We’ll have to see what happens.

Former Love Island star Laura Anderson has revealed she was left “in tears” after dropping her daughter Bonnie off for her first day of nursery in a huge milestone for the pair.

Laura, 36, welcomed her first child Bonnie in September 2023, and yesterday, 21-month-old Bonnie embarked on a new journey, as she started her first day at nursery. However, it wasn’t easy for either Laura or Bonnie, as Laura revealed they both broke down in tears.

In an exclusive interview with the Mirror, Laura said: “Bonnie had her first day at nursery today. Honestly, I started crying when I dropped her off.

“As a single parent, it’s hard to let go and trust other people to look after your little baby,” she continued. However, Laura wasn’t the only one in floods of tears, as she revealed little Bonnie was the one to set her off.

“I think we’re so used to being just us. So she actually cried, and then I got in the car and started crying. What a nightmare!,” she laughed. “But apparently it’s normal!”

However, Laura was quickly reassured by the nursery, who sent her photos of Bonnie via their app, to show her how well she’d settled in. “She’s a very independent little sassy things, but still a mummy’s girl!,” Laura said.

Bonnie is a natural in front of the camera, regularly featuring in adorable videos and pictures on her mum’s Instagram account.

Since becoming a mum, Laura says her social media has “changed in a positive way,” as she’s joined a “new mum gang,” in which she receives support from others in the same position. “It makes you feel less like an alien if someone else is crying dropping their kid off,” she laughed.

As well as posting her relationship with daughter Bonnie, Laura also features her relationship with footballer Clark Hudson on social media, since going public in October.

“Him and Bonnie are like little BFFs,” Laura said of Clark, who has two children of his own. “They have fun together, they play hide and seek and hide from me in the house. I feel really lucky to have him. He’s a nice little help and all the kids get on really well.”

Aside from being a mum, Laura is keeping busy with her career, and was recently given the honour of hosting the red carpet at Pride Of Scotland for the first time earlier this week. The awards, which took place in Glasgow celebrate Scotland’s remarkable unsung heroes.

“It was an honour to be asked back for a third year to host the red carpet,” Laura said – admitting she was taken aback by the remarkable actions of the young unsung heroes. “These tiny little humans are doing better things in the world than us 30/40 year olds in the room watching them.

“Their parents must be so proud of them, it was insane,” Laura continued. “It was such a humbling, incredible experience.”

Nadiya Hussain says ‘gratitude shouldn’t be a muzzle’ after BBC backlash

TV personality and chef, Nadiya Hussain, has opened up about the pressure to be grateful over the years after announcing her decade-long tenure with the BBC has come to an end

The BBC said that it has decided not to commission another cookery show with Nadiya for the time being(Image: BBC/Wall to Wall/Tom Kirkman)

TV chef and former Great British Bake Off champion, Nadiya Hussain, has shared a powerful message about the expectation of “gratitude” she feels as the child of immigrants. Hussain says she is “allowed to feel more than just thankful” after her decade-long tenure with the BBC recently came to an end.

In a new Instagram video, the TV chef said she received a ton of messages from people telling her to be “grateful for the opportunity” and “thankful for how far [she’s] come,” after discussing her disappointment at having her BBC shows axed.

In response, Hussain highlighted the pressure to clamp down on expressing sadness or frustration over the years, at the risk of sounding ungrateful – especially as the child of immigrants.

“My whole life as a child in an immigrant household, I used to think I had to be grateful all the time because I watched my family. Always grateful.

“Grateful for being let in. Grateful for having work – even if underpaid. Grateful for safety – even if it meant silence. Always grateful. Grateful even when I feel tired, lonely or disrespected.” She shared that over time the expectation to be grateful began to feel “really heavy” and that it became something she felt expected to wear “like a uniform”.

“Anytime I voiced frustration or sadness or wanted more, I could feel the invisible pressure. Like ‘how dare you complain?’ ‘Aren’t you lucky just to be here?’”. Now, Hussain says she has learned she’s “allowed to feel more than just thankful”.

“I am a human being and I’m allowed to feel angry when I’m treated unfairly. I’m allowed to want better for myself and for my family. I’m allowed to speak up. I’m allowed to exist.”

“Gratitude has its place, but it shouldn’t be a muzzle,” continues Hussain. Alluding to immigrants and their families she says: “We didn’t come here just to survive. We came here to live, to grow, to contribute, to belong. Not as a guest but as a person who has rights and dreams and dignity just like everyone else.”

Content cannot be displayed without consent

“So no, I won’t always be grateful,” concludes Hussain. “And that doesn’t make me ungrateful. It makes me human.”

In a previous Instagram post in which she announced her ending ties with the BBC, Hussain shared that the TV industry “doesn’t always support Muslim women like me”.

“The BBC have decided that they didn’t want to commission a show. And for me, that was a huge turning point because it’s something I’ve done for the past 10 years.

“I was already on this steady trajectory of change and I was thinking about where I wanted my career to go, and when the BBC decided they didn’t want to commission the show anymore, it really did kind of solidify everything for me, and it made me dig my heels in and think ‘OK, I know where I want to be’.”

Image of Nadiya winning Bake Off
Hussain has gone on to front many shows for the BBC since her 2015 Bake Off win(Image: BBC)

The TV chef has fronted several food series for the BBC since winning The Great British Bake Off in 2025 – when the show was on BBC1 – including Nadiya Bakes, Nadiya’s Fast Flavours and Nadiya’s Simple Spices. She also worked on a documentary with the company entitled Nadiya: Anxiety and Me.

A BBC spokesperson said: “After several wonderful series we have made the difficult decision not to commission another cookery show with Nadiya Hussain at the moment.”

The statement continued: “Nadiya remains a much-valued part of the BBC family, and we look forward to working together on future projects.”
