Woman spots Gucci bag in charity shop and is floored by price tag

A woman popped into her local charity store and spotted a Gucci bag on display in a glass cabinet alongside some jewellery but was amazed after clocking how much it was being sold for

A woman got lucky after spotting a Gucci bag in a charity shop for an absolute steal. Gucci is a prominent, world renowned, luxury design house founded in Italy in 1921. It offers an array of handbags, clothing and accessories, shoes and even home decoration.

Gucci also boasts a fragrance and cosmetics line under the name Gucci Beauty. Typically, the luxury retailer’s bag prices vary. The brand’s Ophidia mini bag, crafted in beige and white GG Supreme canvas, is currently priced at £610 to purchase directly from its website, for example.

On the higher end of the spectrum, its Diana medium tote bag – which comes in six colours and is constructed in leather – is available for £3,170.

Vintage Gucci bags can be especially expensive, particularly if they’re from a limited edition release or rare. On eBay, a limited edition Gucci Crocodile Bag is available from £24,086.72.

Many bargain hunting fashion lovers turn to charity shops on the hunt for stylish clothing and accessories at a fraction of the cost.

Those looking to make more sustainable fashion choices and avoid buying fast fashion similarly visit charity and secondhand shops when looking to pad out their wardrobes.

There’s plenty of options available which allow people to shop for less while supporting a good cause, or simply snap up some much needed bargains while the cost of living continues to rise.

Discount chain store Goodwill boasts more than 150 outlets across the United States and Canada, where it offers bargain hunters “hundreds of thousands of unique items up for grabs at any given time, including art, books, vinyl records, clothing, home décor, jewellery, musical instruments, sports, toys, and more”.

One woman ventured into her local Goodwill store in northern California and was amazed after spotting a Gucci bag for sale.

It wasn’t on the shop floor with the rest of the items, it was alongside the jewellery in a glass display case which led the woman to deduce “it was real”.

There are many fake copies of designer goods often sold as though they’re the real deal. If you’re buying a designer item from a secondhand source, make sure you have it authenticated before splashing the cash.

The woman shared her Gucci find on Facebook with the caption “Gucci crossbody found at Goodwill today”, where she declared the bag to be a genuine Gucci number after the serial number was checked.

It was on offer for just $49. 99 (£36. 82) but as the woman is a “regular” client, they allowed her to have a slight discount and sold it to her for $44. 99 (£33. 13).

Today’s horoscope for July 6 sees one star sign encourage to leave others with their negativity on their own, while another has been told to try to avoid causing tension

It’s Sunday, July 6, and one star sign has been warned to choose their battles wisely and approach situations with caution and understanding.

There are 12 zodiac signs – Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces – and the horoscopes for each can give you the lowdown on what your future holds, be it in work, your love life, your friends and family or more.

These daily forecasts have been compiled by astrologer Russell Grant, who has been reading star signs for over 50 years. From Aries through to Pisces, here’s what today could bring for your horoscope – and what you can do to be prepared.

Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20)

If anyone in your life is being pessimistic and difficult, leave them to deal with their negativity on their own. There is absolutely no reason why you should paste on a smile and continue to try to please them. Instead do something that makes you happy.

Taurus (Apr 21 – May 21)

A close relationship or friendship will be influenced by the opinions of housemates and relatives. Someone who cares for you may point out the flaws in a friendship and although you don’t want to listen, it’s important to consider their concerns.

Gemini (May 22 – June 21)

It’s a great day to meet up with people on the same wavelength and to choose activities you enjoy. Think about making it a full-day outing. Whether it’s hiking, spending time at the beach or even running a marathon, choose whatever brings you joy.

‘Life-saving’ menopause product inspired by menopausal 25-year-old sells out 3 times

Scottish duo Jessica and Isla created the product after their friend experience surgical menopause at age 25

For women experiencing the effects of menopause, which often include vaginal dryness, discomfort, and a loss of sexual desire, finding a solution is crucial. It’s a common issue that around 80% of women confront at some stage in their lives, not just during menopause.

Gloriah’s Soul Gel is a luxury, water-based lubricant specifically crafted for menopausal and perimenopausal women, which has been so popular that it has sold out three times. Those keen to try the formula, fear not, as it’s now available again for pre-order with shipping set to start on July 14.

Soul Gel owes its existence to co-founders Jessica and Isla, who were inspired by their close friend who experienced surgical menopause at the age of 25. Despite Isla’s expertise as an NHS-trained nurse specialising in women’s health, they found options lacking and decided to make their own product.

Jessica shared: “We wanted to create the kind of product we wish we could’ve handed our friend when she hit menopause at 25. Something beautiful, bold, and stigma-smashing. “

As reported by the Daily Record, Gloriah’s story starts with the Scottish founders having put their life savings into the venture and journeying to London for the brand’s launch. Confronted with a negligible marketing budget, they got creative, plastering the London Underground with posters exclaiming ‘lube in a tube’.

Each poster came with a QR code directing people to their website, and their quirky guerilla advertising campaign quickly became an online sensation. Regrettably, TFL issued a cease and desist order, but the mission was already accomplished, and Soul Gel had sold out.

Since then, it has sold out three more times, gained a loyal fan base, and launched in Superdrug and Tesco. The formula itself was specifically developed to support skin that has changed due to hormonal fluctuations or declines.

Made with natural extracts like aloe vera, oat and ginkgo, Soul Gel aims to calm, soothe, hydrate and boost circulation, helping women reclaim comfort and confidence in the bedroom. Priced at £17, it’s already positioned as a skincare-style investment for sex.

The Mirror’s readers can get 25% off with the code REACH25 until July 31, bringing the price down to £12. 75. It’s not just the formula that stands out, as Soul Gel comes in a 70s-inspired terracotta tube, giving it the same visual appeal as high-end skincare.

Chic enough to sit on a dressing table without raising eyebrows, the packaging reflects Gloriah’s broader mission; normalise conversations around vaginal dryness, pleasure and female hormonal health.

For those who are keen to shop around, there are more water-based lubricants available. This includes the Shine Organic Lubricant by Maude (£21. 59), a pH-balanced, aloe-based formula that is ultra-moisturising and non-sticky.

Another option is YES Organic Water-Based Lube (£7. 99) from Lovehoney, which has been well-received by those with sensitive skin. One user commented: “I have super sensitive skin, and this gave me absolutely no issues. Doesn’t feel icky or sticky at all. “

Gloriah’s Soul Gel has also garnered positive remarks from customers. A shopper noted: “After having my second baby, I needed something gentle and nourishing. This has been a lifesaver. “

Another satisfied user commented: “It does feel like a little moment for the soul. Calming, comforting, easy. “

Someone else praised the product’s ingredients, saying: “The oat and aloe combo is genius. It feels so calming on my skin, not just down there but anywhere I use it. “

Despite the lack of negative feedback online, including its impressive 4. 9-star rating on Amazon, free delivery is only available on orders over £30. This means a delivery charge of £3. 75 applies when purchasing a single tube of Soul Gel.

Yet, this hasn’t deterred glowing reviews, with one person stating: “I expected it to be ok, but I didn’t expect to love it. Zero stickiness. Just smooth comfort. “

Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary rocker, ended his live performance career with a bang on Saturday evening, sharing a saucy farewell message to fans after his final gig.

At 76 years old, the Black Sabbath frontman returned to the stage in Birmingham for the first time in two decades as part of the Back to the Beginning farewell concert.

Devoted fans from all corners of the globe gathered to watch Ozzy perform alongside original bandmates Bill Ward, Tony Iommi, and Geezer Butler, possibly for the last time, although some were visibly moved by Ozzy’s need to sit upon a throne during the show due to his health struggles.

Finishing up his iconic stint, Ozzy, visibly touched and seated as he left the stage amidst a backdrop of fireworks, expressed his gratitude with a heartfelt “thank you,” sending kisses and lifting his hands skyward to the sound of adulation, reports the Mirror US.

Ozzy’s send-off was as defiant as his career, with an unapologetically bold banner unfurling at Villa Park—home to football clashes—stating, “Thank you for everything, you guys are f***ing amazing. Birmingham Forever. “

The night also featured some stellar performances from other music legends, including Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan, Limp Bizkit sensation Fred Durst, and Guns ‘n Roses icons Duff McKagan along with Slash.

In a heart-to-heart with Rolling Stone UK before the concert, Sharon Osbourne disclosed that they had been planning the show for two years and confessed to feeling “so emotional” about the experience, calling it “magic”.

“It was just amazing how everybody said, ‘yes, we wanna do it, we’re there, we wanna support Sabbath and Ozzy and be there for the charity’. And so it’s just been a pleasure dealing with everyone, and they’ve just been so generous with their time.

“Every single artist has just been fantastic,” expressed the former X Factor UK judge. Sharon also conveyed Ozzy’s gratitude for his fans’ longstanding support.

“Ozzy has finally got a chance to thank people for all their years of support and encouragement to him and really giving us the life that we have together. We appreciate everything that these fans have given us around the world,” Sharon stated.

The announcement of the goodbye gig sent fans into a frenzy when it was released back in February. An Instagram upload from Ozzy earlier this year saw Tom Morello, the music director of the event, declare, “This will be the greatest heavy metal show ever.”

As the legendary guitarist of Rage Against The Machine, Tom’s words carried considerable weight.

Accompanying the social media snapshot was Ozzy’s reflection: “It’s my time to go Back to the Beginning… . time for me to give back to the place where I was born. How blessed am I to do it with the help of people whom I love. Birmingham is the true home of metal. Birmingham Forever. “

Kelly Osbourne shared her support for her dad Ozzy as she arrived in Birmingham for his final live show on Saturday night.

Ozzy sent fans into a frenzy as he joined his Black Sabbath bandmates at Villa Park, Birmingham in one of the most epic farewell shows in music history. The music icon, 76, reunited with all his original Black Sabbath bandmates Tony Lommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward for the first time since 2005. Taking to the stage, Ozzy appeared overwhelmed by the support from the cheering crowds.

Fans travelled across the world to be there to watch the final performance and among the crowd was his daughter Kelly,40, who was dressed in a leopard print dress, with her hair styled in big bouncy waves.

Just two weeks ago, the TV personality posted a video for Father’s Day which included a montage of pictures and videos of herself and Ozzy, as well as some of him playing with his grandson. She captioned the post: “Happy Father’s Day daddy. I love you more than anyone or anything in the world!

“I am so proud to be your daughter and Beyond honored to watch you be the best #Papa in the world to my son! You are my #hero I love you soooooooooo f****n much! “

Ozzy made sure his send off was as epic as it could be as he left to fireworks and a massive cheer from his emotional fans. It marked a very rare appearance for Ozzy, who first retired from live singing in 2023 because of his numerous surgeries and his Parkinson’s Disease.

The Back To The Beginning supershow included sets from Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Slayer, Tool, Gojira, Anthrax, Lamb Of God, Halestorm, Mastodon and Rival Sons.

An all-star super-group played, with The Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan, Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello, Megadeth’s David Ellefson, and Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst also taking to the stage.

Fans have been conflicted in their thoughts on Ozzy’s final performance as they say goodbye to the Prince of Darkness amid his ongoing health issues.

Taking to social media, one fan wrote: “Feel a bit sorry for Ozzy being wheeled out like that. He clearly isn’t fit and well. ” Another added: “I feel bad for Ozzy. Yeah it’s his last ever live show but it’s kinda gross how a visibly unwell man is being wheeled out like this by Sharon. “

Someone else commented: “Very sad, Ozzy in a goth wheel chair.” However, others loved it the performance as one shared: “As much as I am against this final Ozzy Osbourne/Black Sabbath show, the videos I’ve seen on Twitter and Youtube, Ozzy sounds a lot better than I expected.”

Sienna Miller embodies old school chic as she shares three-word verdict on Oasis gig

British-American actress Sienna Miller, who attended both Cardiff gigs, shared her verdict on the Oasis reunion tour

Sienna Miller looked effortlessly cool as she attended night two of the Oasis reunion concert at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium. Like many tens of thousands of people, Sienna was quick to nab tickets to the tour after Liam and Noel Gallagher shocked fans with a reunion announcement in August last year.

The band finally returned to the stage on Friday night for their first performance together in 16 years. Sienna, who attended both nights of the Cardiff concerts, said it was the “greatest show I’ve ever seen” as she shared her thoughts on the emotional night, which had Liam and Noel performing all their biggest hits.

Sienna Miller embodies old school chic as she shares three-word verdict on Oasis gig

When asked by The Mirror what she thought of the concert, she joked: “It was alright,” before revealing she was there for both Cardiff gigs. “It’s the greatest show I’ve ever seen. The love and the nostalgia and the joy, it’s like saving the world.”

The Extrapolations actress, 43, rocked a patterned black-and-white long-sleeved short for the biblical event and accessorised with thin-framed sunglasses. She made her look chic by tousling her blonde locks.

She joined Doctor Who’s Matt Smith, who was also at both events, for the concert. Other big names at the gig included makeup mogul Charlotte Tilbury, Noel Gallagher’s girlfriend Sally Mash and more.

Last year, Sienna opened up about ageism as she admitted she initially had reservations about dating a younger man.

She shared that it didn’t take long for her to become smitten with Oli Green after they met at a Halloween bash.

In an interview, Sienna revealed that she wasn’t planning on taking things “seriously,” but unexpectedly found herself falling in love.

Initially, Sienna was conflicted about the age difference, stating that it just sort of happened. She elaborated: “I wasn’t like, ‘I’m gonna get a younger boyfriend.’ It was more, ‘F—! Why are you young? That’s so annoying.'”.Looking back, however, Sienna believes everything worked out for the best. In a chat with Harper’s Bazaar, she praised Oli for his maturity, describing him as “very wise and well-adjusted.”She attributed his mature outlook to generational differences, noting that Oli belongs to a “generation of men respect women.”She continued: “It’s interesting, being older now, and having been raised in that moment, learning from people who are younger about how clear they are in their boundaries, having that self-assuredness and self-advocacy, having ‘no’ in the repertoire in a way that we just weren’t encouraged to have.”

Meanwhile, Oasis is next returning to the stage for five dates in Manchester, starting from July 11, before heading to London for another five dates.

They will also be heading to Dublin, Toronto, Chicago, New Jersey, Los Angeles, Mexico City, and will performing a few more London dates in September.

In October and November, Oasis will also be in South Korea, Japan, Australia, Argentina, Chile and Brazil.
