She was seen leaving a radio studio today, without her engagement ring, hours before taking the red carpet at the Mirror’s annual event to honor the country’s unsung heroes.

Michaela Strachan took everyone on a nostalgia trip as she celebrated pal Timmy Mallett’s big birthday and her blown-away followers were all left saying the same thing

Timmy Mallett with Michaela Strachan got into the party spirit this weekend(Image: INSTAGRAM)
Timmy Mallett celebrated turning 70 this weekend and fans have been quick to tell him he’s hardly aged since he used to entertain the nation’s children four decades ago.
The bespectacled telly legend, one of the most recognisable presenters of the 1980s, made a name for himself through his zany sense of humour – not to mention whacking people over the head with his famous inflatable mallet. Despite also managing to lodge Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini into people’s heads, he stayed popular and became a regular on the radio as well as the box.
Nowadays, he is less keen on life in the limelight, preferring instead to spend his time making art and sharing TikTok videos detailing his adventures cycling around the UK and his beloved football club Maidenhead United. He also spends plenty of time with his pals – as well as fellow ageless TV presenter Michaela Strachan.

The wildlife expert raced to Instagram to shower the star with love and said: “Happy 70th to my wonderful & utterly brilliant friend @timmy.mallett Managed to be the surprise guest at his birthday gathering & we ended up doing endless singalongs!
“We have been friends for 40 yrs & it’s a friendship I truly value. Timmy is such an inspiration with his cycling, his painting, his curiosity, his endless energy. What a legend.” The presenter bagged her first job on children’s morning TV when she fronted The Wide Awake Club from 1986 alongside Timmy before she went onto front Wacaday.
Her followers couldn’t agree more and after taking them all on a nostalgia trip, one wrote in the comments: “Love this. You both look no different to when I was growing up!” Another told the Springwatch host “You both don’t look any different to when I watched you on wacaday.”
Timmy married Australian-born Lynda Bingham back in 1990, and the pair are still going strong. In 2008, when Timmy was competing in I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!, Lynda opened up about what it was like living with such an eccentric character, revealing that her husband isn’t quite as giggly as his reality show appearances would suggest.
Lynda told the Mail Online: “Timmy giggles at home sometimes, but not all the time. He was being filmed 24 hours a day on I’m A Celebrity and the producers were taking bits of him giggling and putting it into an hour-long programme, which made it appear as if he was always giggling. In the last series, they had that woman Janice [Dickinson] who constantly said ‘Oh Man’ to everything.
“Timmy’s laugh may be irritating, but he’s not an irritating person. He was probably just trying to cheer things up a bit, although at times I’ve thought, ‘Oh God, Timmy, tone it down’. And being irritating at least got him noticed. Robert Kilroy-Silk did well in the bush tucker trials but that’s not exactly interesting, is it?”
Opening up about the secret to keeping Timmy happy, Lynda continued: “You know what I do when Timmy gets crabby at home? I feed him. It works every time. If someone comes round and says they’ve had a bad day, I give them some cake.”

In an interview with the Daily Express in 2022, Timmy addressed speculation surrounding a potential return to television, remarking that the thought “does not appeal” to him. Timmy, who now has 70,000 followers on TikTok, explained: “It’s not something that jumps right out and appeals to me. I like the idea of trying something new. But, I’m not going to. I don’t really need to go off and break my leg. However, I can still do the dance to itsy bitsy.”
Sarah Ferguson revealed that her decision to divorce Prince Andrew was driven by financial independence, despite his dismissive priorities and alleged affairs

Nearly three decades after her split from Prince Andrew, Sarah Ferguson’s real reason for choosing to end their marriage has resurfaced amid her enduring bond she still shares with the disgraced royal figure.
Fergie officially divorced Andrew in 1996 but has continued to defend and support him through years of controversy. Despite no longer being a member of the Royal Family, she remains one of his closest allies, even sharing his home at Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park.
It comes as Andrew has relinquished his use of the Duke of York title and royal honours amid the long-running fallout of the Jeffrey Epstein scandal and the publication of Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous memoir. He will retain his title of Prince, as he is entitled to as per his birthright.
The titles and honours he will no longer use include his wedding day titles – The Duke of York, the Earl of Inverness and Baron Killyleagh; his Knighthood as a Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order (GCVO); his Garter role as a Royal Knight Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter.

He will also not be able to wear the Garter robes he was seen in at Charles’s coronation. Although Andrew is relinquishing his dukedom, he still technically retains it – and it can only be removed by an Act of Parliament, should his brother issues Letters Patent.
Last month, Sarah was also dropped by numerous charities after a 2011 email revealed she called convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein her “supreme friend”. This month, she also lost her “Duchess of York” courtesy title after her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, relinquished his royal titles.
Sarah and Andrew’s relationship began in 1985 when they were introduced by Princess Diana. The pair married a year later, but royal life quickly exposed deep cracks within their marriage.
According to a biography about Andrew, the prince’s naval duties kept him away from home for long stretches and for one of the years of their marriage, he was reportedly home for just 42 days. He allegedly made his priorities clear to Sarah, telling her: “I am a Prince, then a naval officer, then a husband.”
The marriage was further strained by rumours of affairs on both sides. Andrew was said to have slept with “more than a dozen women” before their first anniversary, while Fergie faced speculation over her friendship with Texas oilman Steve Wyatt.
In 1992, a tabloid photograph showing the Duchess having her toes sucked by her “financial advisor” sent shockwaves through the monarchy, and the couple soon announced their separation.
Their divorce was finalised in 1996, with Sarah later explaining that the decision was practical rather than personal. “I wanted to work; it’s not right for a princess of the royal house to be commercial,” she said. “So Andrew and I decided to make the divorce official so I could go off and get a job.”
Despite the scandal and scrutiny surrounding Andrew, including his 2022 settlement with Virginia Giuffre over sexual assault allegations, which he has always denied, Fergie has never turned her back on him.
Writing in The Sunday Times, she said: “I travel a lot and I’ve always been able to make wherever I am home… When I’m in the UK I’m lucky enough to stay at Royal Lodge. I wouldn’t call it my home as that would be presumptuous.”
Over the years, Fergie has repeatedly praised her ex-husband. “I think the love I had for him then, is the love I still have for him now,” she once said.
“We’re the happiest divorced couple in the world… We’re divorced to each other, not from each other. My duty is to him. I am so proud of him. I stand by him and always will.”
Oasis have signed up guitarist Mike Moore to replace Paul ‘ Bonehead ‘ Arthurs on their upcoming tour dates.
Moore, a good friend of Liam Gallagher and part of his solo touring band, will take over the rhythm guitar from tomorrow night when the band play the Goyang Stadium in Seoul. He was spotted arriving at the airport yesterday by fans and sources close to the band confirmed to the Mirror he is the new band member set to soundcheck and then play for Oasis in the next 24 hours.
Bonehead will miss several legs of the Oasis tour for prostate cancer treatment, which he announced at the start of October. A source close to the band said: “Mike Moore has been playing for Liam since 2017 and so he knows plenty of the Oasis tunes from the solo gigs.
Mike Moore will be joining Oasis on their upcoming tour dates
” It’s not a full time slot in the band and everyone wants Bonehead well and back but it’s a huge privilege for Mike and he’s excited to get on the stage. “Moore is not the only member of Liam’s band in Oasis now, with the line up also featuring Christian Madden on keyboards.
The rest of the band remains the same including Noel Gallagher, Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Joey Waronker. The band have finished all their triumphant UK shows but are in South Korea, before heading to Australia and other dates to end the tour including in Chile, Brazil and Argentina.

Announcing his cancer news, Bonehead said on social media:” Early this year I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. The good news is I’m responding really well to treatment, which meant I could be part of this incredible tour. Now, I am having to take a planned break for the next phase of my care, so I’ll be missing the gigs in Seoul, Tokyo, Melbourne and Sydney. I’m really sad to be missing these shows but l’m feeling good and will be back ready to go in time for South America.
“Have an amazing time if you’re going this month and I’ll see you back onstage with the band in November”. Noel Galagher’s daughter Anais wrote under the message: “We love you so much Bonehead”.

Bonehead is credited with helping reunite brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher and the band for the sell out tour they are currently playing. The band played two sensational comeback shows in Cardiff to kickstart the tour, their first gigs for almost 16 years. Rumours had buzzed about who helped mend Noel and Liam Gallagher’s relationship.
But on stage for the second night of the comeback tour, Noel introduced the band, whilst also joking about the high turnover of drummers Oasis had in the past. Noel said: “On drums, our 13th official drummer Joey Waronker”.On guitar, if it wasn’t for him none of this would have f**king happened in the first place, Mr Bonehead. “
Bonehead, revealed in April 2022 he had been diagnosed with tonsil cancer. In September of the same year he wrote on social media the cancer had gone, saying at the time:” I had a full scan 10 days ago and it’s all clear, it’s gone… Into recovery now and see you all soon. “

The son of England legend Stuart Pearce has been killed in a tragic accident, with his grieving family paying tribute.
Harley Pearce, 21, who worked in farming, lost control of the tractor he was driving down a country lane in the Cotswolds. It’s thought the vehicle suffered a possible tyre blow-out, which caused him to veer off the road.
Sadly Harley, 21, died at the scene in Witcombe, Gloucestershire Police confirmed. Emergency services were called at around 2.30pm on Thursday to a report of a collision involving a tractor on the A417 Old Birdlip Hill in Witcombe.
A source told the Daily Mail: “From what we’ve been told is Harley’s tractor had a blow out and he lost control”.

Investigating officers are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash or who has any relevant dashcam footage to get in touch. Harley’s parents are also receiving support from specialist officers.
Harley – who lived near Marlborough in Wiltshire – ran his own company, Harley Pearce Agricultural Service, and worked on farms on the Wiltshire and Gloucestershire border.
His devastated family are now trying to come to terms with their loss. They said in tribute: “Our family is truly shocked and utterly heartbroken at the loss of our cherished son and devoted brother, Harley. A soul who left an unforgettable imprint on all who knew him.
” He was a golden boy with an infectious smile, and this shocking tragedy will leave a huge hole in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
“With a quiet, understated strength and deep kindness, we are so proud of the young man he had become, exhibiting a wonderful work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit in the farming industry. He will always be our shining star. Rest in Peace, our beautiful son and brother. You will never ever be forgotten”.
Harley’s girlfriend has also paid a moving tribute to the man ‘ I’ll love forever’. A letter left at the scene alongside flowers read: “To my Hunny. The man I’ll love forever.
” I’m so proud of you, and of what we’ve become. “You know you have my heart, and I know I have yours. I’ll cherish us forever. Forever in your arms, forever in our heart. I love you! Love, Your Holly xxx”.
Harley was the youngest of two children Pearce shared with his former wife Liz. The couple, who divorced in 2013 after two decades of marriage, also have an older daughter, Chelsea, an equestrian rider who has competed at three European Championships for Great Britain.
Stuart – who won 78 international caps – previously shared a touching story about how he helped Harley win his school’s Fantasy Football league when his son was eight-years-old.
Pretending to want information for the England U21 team, Stuart rang former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson to ask whether he was planning to play Phil Jones or Chris Smalling on the final day.
The Scot gave him the answer – and Stuart’s son promptly added that player to his team and ultimately won the league.

In March, Pearce had a health scare on a flight after experiencing chest pains. The Las Vegas to Heathrow flight was diverted to St John’s in Canada and he spent five days in hospital recovering.
