The Traitors star Harry Clark reveals footballing legend a secret fan of BBC show

The Traitors star Harry Clark has revealed that footballer Frank Lampard is a secret superfan of the show, and even asked him for some tips on how he did so well.

Frank Lampard may be one of the biggest players of all time, but he’s still looking out for some tips. The Traitors star Harry Clark says the former footballer is a secret mega fan of the show, and even asked where he learned some of his deceitful skills.

“Frank said he was impressed with how I played the game. He actually asked me where I learned the tricks I used to get everyone on my side on the show, I said, ‘I learned them from watching you on the football pitch’, he’s actually a mastermind!” said Harry, admitting that the Coventry City manager sent him an unexpected message on Instagram following the show.

The former soldier, who won the show in 2024 for lying his way through the series as a Traitor, says he has since formed an unlikely friendship with the former footballer, thanks to his wife.

“I filmed quite a few things with Christine, and she’s the nicest person ever, and she told me that Frank watched The Traitors.

“I didn’t believe her, I thought she was joking but then Frank followed me on Instagram and messaged me to say ‘Merry Christmas’,” added Harry, 24, of how the friendship bloomed, as he spoke at the launch of Fame Factory at London’s ExCel.

After admiring one another from afar, the duo finally got a night out together this summer to watch rockers Liam and Noel Gallagher together.

Harry explained, “I then went to Oasis this summer and I bumped into Christine, who said Frank was coming to the concert too so I could meet him.

“I couldn’t believe it, I was really starstruck and Christine said, ‘Act cool though’. I thought, ‘Am I not acting cool already?’ I kept it together and managed to have a couple of drinks with him, then we watched Oasis together. It was the best night.” Will it be dinner at the Lampards going forward, then? “Oh, I wish,” laughed Harry.

The Celebrity Traitors kicks off tonight, with a host of famous faces such as Kate Garraway and Alan Carr heading to the Scottish castle for the game of deceit.

And while Frank may not be on the roster taking part, Harry is looking forward to being on the other side of the screen and watching how the famous players get on.

“I’m looking forward to seeing how they play it, to be honest. It’ll be interesting to see whether they really are themselves, or whether they come with their famous personas and a bit of a mask on.

It’s very different from my season because we weren’t known and had nothing to lose, whereas they already have personas.”

Love Island star Greg O’Shea marries model girlfriend 6 years after winning ITV2 show

Former rugby player and Love Island winner Greg O’Shea has tied the knot with his model girlfriend in an “intimate and emotional” ceremony.

Greg, who previously triumphed on the hit dating programme, stunned his partner Jeanni Mulder when he proposed as the clock struck midnight on New Year’s Eve.

The Limerick lad announced his romantic proposal through an Instagram video but kept the wedding date secret as the pair chose a private celebration. It’s believed the delighted couple made it official with a party for their closest family and friends at House on Dublin’s Leeson Street on Monday.

The duo, who have been an item for more than two years, had their first date at the trendy venue. Posting a collection of gorgeous snaps from their special day on Instagram, Greg penned: “Mr & Mrs O’Shea. Intimate, emotional and exactly what we wanted. Yesterday was the start of the rest of our lives as we tied the knot in front of our nearest & dearest.”

They were flooded with congratulations from Instagram followers, including former Saturdays singer Una Healy who commented “beautiful couple”. Greg recently revealed how the pair decided against a lavish and costly wedding, choosing instead to mark the occasion with two smaller parties in Ireland and Jeanni’s homeland of South Africa.

Greg also discussed how the travel-loving couple are planning an extended honeymoon to celebrate becoming man and wife. Speaking to Speaking to RSVP recently, Greg said: “We were tossing and turning between doing a big massive wedding that everyone does, but then we got a slap of reality because Jeanni’s family are all in South Africa and it is not easy to just get them to fly to Ireland.

“And vice versa with my family going there, not to mention the cost of it. We have decided to flip the script and go for something more intimate, we are keeping the wedding very small with the Irish contingent.

“We will go to South Africa for another celebration next year. Both will be close family and friends. We are really excited to keep things small so we have time with each other and time with our guests.”

Before proposing last year, Greg had spent several weeks with Jeanni and her family in South Africa, where they celebrated Christmas. The Limerick rugby star first shot to fame after appearing on and winning Love Island with Amber Gill in 2019. He has since gone on to represent the Irish rugby 7s at the Olympics and has worked as a TV presenter. Most recently, Greg has discovered a love for adventure racing and ultra marathons, which he takes part in across the globe with Jeanni cheering him on.

At the time of proposing last year, Greg shared a series of photos on Instagram with his fiancée. The first showed the couple in a loving embrace, with Jeanni subtly showcasing her diamond ring. The following images zoomed in on the stunning ring, capturing the couple all smiles, looking deeply in love against a beautiful mountainous backdrop.

The Love Island alumn, who is also an Olympic medalist for his part in the Irish rugby sevens, captioned the post: “Grew up worlds apart and now spe ding the rest of our lives together.”

Greg’s Love Island pals were quick to congratulate him on the beautiful news with Christopher Taylor, who appeared on series five and on All Stars, penning: “Congrats my brother,” alongside two heart emojis.

The pair reportedly began dating in early 2023. That same year, Greg gave fans a glimpse of his relationship while tackling a sporting challenge at Ironman Barcelona. The grueling event included a 3.8km sea swim, an 180km bike ride, and a 42km run.

Back in 2022, Greg admitted he had regrets over the way he ended things with Love Island ex Amber Gill. The pair won and split a £50,000 prize after being voted the winning couple of the ITV2 show in 2019 but called time on their romance just five weeks on from their TV victory.

“I’d love to say ‘no regrets’ but there probably is one. I should have bit my tongue a bit longer and stayed in the relationship with Amber a bit longer,” Greg admitted when recalling his Love Island experience on Doireann Garrihy’s The Laughs Of Your Life podcast last year.
