Alan Carr’s brutal divorce as Celebrity Traitors star eyes up next love

Celebrity The Traitors star Alan Carr has had a rocky love life in recent years, with the comedian splitting from his ex-husband Paul Drayton in 2022 and then breaking up with his toyboy boyfriend Callum Heslop

Alan Carr’s romantic life has captured public attention throughout the years. The 49-year-old ranks among Britain’s most cherished comedians and television hosts, presenting everything from the BBC’s Interior Design Masters to Amanda, Alan’s Italian Job, Alan Carr Chattyman, and now appearing on Celebrity The Traitors, making him a recognisable presence on our screens.

Beyond his thriving career, Alan has experienced a turbulent personal life recently, with his three-year marriage collapsing in 2022. Alan had been with his former husband, Paul Drayton, for 13 years before they chose to separate during lockdown.

They never revealed the cause of their break-up, but maintained it was a mutual and ‘amicable’ choice to go their separate ways. Alan revealed in 2022 how his divorce remained very ‘raw’ and his television programme and tour provided healing following the split.

Discussing his Regional Trinket tour on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, Alan remarked: “This show had to be rescheduled because of Covid; I just really didn’t want to cancel. My marriage broke down in lockdown. No, it’s fine – people head tilt when you’ve got bad news.”

The couple had married in 2018, with Adele conducting the ceremony. In 2021, Paul underwent treatment and entered rehabilitation after he publicly revealed his alcohol struggle by sharing a photograph of his black eye after a drinking session. He posted the now-removed Instagram image in August 2021 and prompted worry from his followers.

Paul had initially claimed the injury resulted from a disagreement with Alan. Paul subsequently apologised and explained how he sustained the black eye, admitting he had struck himself in the face whilst on a drinking spree.

At the time, Alan issued a statement: “When I arrived back home from Wales, Paul was covered in scratches and bruises from a drinking binge. We are now working together to get the help he needs to get better which is our number one priority right now.”

In early 2023, Alan opened up about his relationship with his former partner following their separation. “I don’t hate him. It takes up too much energy. We have all got to move on,” he said.

He acknowledged that he struggled with dating applications. “People ask if I am doing the apps, but I find it quite triggering,” he revealed, adding with humour: “I used to work at a singles bar in Northampton and I was like the goat who gets lowered in that crate in Jurassic Park.”

Then, in November 2023, the comedian revealed he had discovered love once more when he went ‘Instagram official’ with celebrity hairstylist Callum Heslop, who at the time was 27.

Callum has operated as a celebrity hairstylist for eight years, having collaborated closely with Amanda Holden, Helen Flanagan and Charlotte Dawson, and runs his own salon in Knutsford, Cheshire.

The couple, who had a 20-year age difference, allegedly embarked on a romantic holiday together in the US and were reportedly invited to Adele’s luxurious home in LA for Thanksgiving dinner. An insider told The Sun that Alan and Callum’s relationship began as a friendship before blossoming into romance.

“They have a really nice friendship and that has been the base for a relationship to blossom,” the source revealed. “He meets celebs through his job, so isn’t fazed. It takes a lot to introduce a partner to someone as famous as Adele but she couldn’t have been friendlier,” they added.

However, it is reported that Alan and Callum parted ways in January of last year. Earlier this year, he revealed he was ready to find love again.

Speaking to us earlier this year, he said: “I’m dating, I’m dipping my toe in, but that’s all I’m doing. I won’t do the apps, it has to be a friend of a friend. I’m just going on a few dates but they’re unsuccessful. I mean, I’m never in the country, but I’m ready now for someone… anyone.”

Now, he’s looking for a “chunky rugby player to throw him around” or a “chubby chaser” who had suffered from “low self-esteem.” Speaking at the press night of Opening Night at the Gielgud Theatre in London, Alan said: “I look for a rugby boy. I like them big, and chunky – chunky everywhere. If you catch what I’m saying.

Strictly’s George Clarke rushed for treatment after injuring back in training

Strictly Come Dancing’s George Clarke has revealed that he was battling a secret injury during Saturday’s show despite placing third on the leaderboard with his Paso Doble

The stars of Strictly Come Dancing are facing the second dance off this week – and the stress of the competition is already running high.

George Clarke has revealed that he was rushed to a physiotherapist last week after injuring his back in rehearsals last week. The influencer opened up about hurting his back on his podcast, The Useless Hotline Podcast – inviting on Strictly professional dance partner Alexis Warr for the first time.

The 25-year-old wowed the judges and the public with his impressive Paso Doble on Saturday, receiving a score of 30. He landed in third place on the leaderboard for weeks one and two, closely following Lewis Cope and Amber Davies who took second and first place respectively.

Despite storming the scoreboard, George revealed on his podcast that he was given less time to rehearse for his Paso Doble after needing physio for a back injury he sustained in rehearsal.

“I didn’t want it to be a thing on the night,” he said. “That’s why they asked in the VT, they were like, ‘Do you want to mention your back?’ and I said, ‘I don’t want it to be a thing.'”

He added: “I had a pinched nerve all week in my back. I had acupuncture half way through the week. I went to physio four times.” As for how he did it, George admitted that the injury happened after a handstand went wrong.

“I was like, ‘I’ll throw in a handstand or something.’ I like doing a handstand, if I keep my legs together I’d probably be better at it but it doesn’t feel fun when you do it that way,” he said.

“I did that and got up and went, ‘My back hurts a little bit actually. Ah s**t, I’ve got a little twinge in there somehow. I’ll try to carry on.'”

Will said that after they took a lunch break, he was unable to return to training and “went straight to physio” instead. “I went to physio the next morning as well. Danced for a bit, sat down,” he said.

Meanwhile, Alexis said that it’s the ‘most frustrated’ she had seen George, with him adding: “Monday is when they throw a load of information at you and then it’s Terrible Tuesday because you’re trying to figure it out.” Not only was he behind with training, but George hade to keep halting rehearsal because of his back pain.

“It would get to the point where I’m getting it then I had to sit down because my back was hurting,” he said.

Earlier this week, George revealed what taking part in the competition really means to him, writing on Instagram: “Probably [a] good time to continue being serious and thank everyone for their unbelievable support so far.

“Whether you’re old or new (here, not just in general) I really appreciate the comments, the messages and obviously the votes!”

Robin Williams’ heartbroken daughter calls for an end to sick trend

Comedian and actor Robin Williams’ daughter Zelda has issued a devastating plea to social media users as she begged for the end of a ‘gross’ trend circulating online

Robin Williams’ daughter Zelda has put out a heartbreaking plea as she continues to grieve her famous dad. The beloved Hollywood actor died by suicide aged 63 in 2014 following months of debilitating ill health.

Now, his daughter has been forced to put out a message to fans online as she shared a sick trend sweeping social media. The director has urged people to stop creating and sending her AI-generated videos of Robin.

She pleaded: “Please, just stop sending me AI videos of Dad. Stop believing I wanna see it or that I’ll understand, I don’t and I won’t. If you’re just trying to troll me, I’ve seen way worse, I’ll restrict and move on.

“But please, if you’ve got any decency, just stop doing this to him and to me, to everyone even, full stop. It’s dumb, it’s a waste of time and energy, and believe me, it’s NOT what he’d want.”

Zelda added: “To watch the legacies of real people be condensed down to ‘this vaguely looks and sounds like them so that’s enough’, just so other people can churn out horrible TikTok slop puppeteering them is maddening.

“You’re not making art, you’re making disgusting, over-processed hotdogs out of the lives of human beings, out of the history of art and music, and then shoving them down someone else’s throat hoping they’ll give you a little thumbs up and like it. Gross.”

In her final appeal to social media users, she concluded: “And for the love of EVERY THING, stop calling it ‘the future,’ AI is just badly recycling and regurgitating the past to be re-consumed.

“You are taking in the Human Centipede of content, and from the very very end of the line, all while the folks at the front laugh and laugh, consume and consume.”

Sadly, it was not the first time Zelda had to call out the behaviour as last year she slammed a story circulating about Robin as fake. A story claimed the Mrs Doubtfire star had owned a monkey.

Zelda hit out: “It’s been brought to my attention some probably AI-written BS like this is going viral. Dad didn’t own a pet monkey, NO ONE should, and if you’re ever tempted to, support your local exotic animal rescues instead. That is his Night at the Museum costar, who now lives at one.”

Before his death, Robin complained that ‘gut discomfort’ was making him anxious and he developed a resting tremor in his left hand along with a slew of seemingly unconnected ailments that came and went.

He suffered stomach cramps, heartburn, and constipation. Robin then started having trouble with his sight and smell, struggled to urinate, was more anxious than ever and began having disturbed sleep.

His limbs would sometimes freeze mid-movement for no obvious reason, while his voice became weaker, his posture less rigid and sometimes he just froze on the spot.

In May 2014, Robin was told by doctors they thought he was suffering from Parkinson’s disease but the actor didn’t believe it. Robin died in August and initially it was thought depression was to blame.

An autopsy would later reveal he had actually been suffering from Lewy body dementia – an aggressive, incurable brain disorder that is associated with a higher risk of suicide. It is often misdiagnosed as Parkinson’s due to an overlap in symptoms such as impairment of motor function.

Lily Phillips terrified as man turns up at her home after eerie encounter

Lily Phillips, the creator of adult content, revealed that a stranger showed up at her home the day after they met in a pub, leaving her family concerned about her safety.

A stranger showed up at Lily Phillips’ home, raising concerns for her. The adult content creator made it clear that she had met the man involved in the incident in a pub the day before but had no idea he would show up at her home just one day later.

The 24-year-old shared her terrifying experience, which also caused her family to be concerned about her safety. She claimed that an unidentified man had knocked at her door at around 12:30 am.

Lily, who boasts 1.4 million followers on Instagram alone, had been encouraged by her sibling to take to social media about the incident in a bid to deter others from following suit and turning up at her Cheshire home.

“I texted my brother about it: ‘He was like, oh my God, please be careful,” she explained. Speaking to former X Factor contestant, Diana Vickers, Lily, originally from Derbyshire, went on to say: “I had met this person in the pub and then, that night, he comes knocking at my door. He had driven to my house.

He kept saying he only wanted to say hello when he heard me through my Ring doorbell. “Not the only time a mystery person has entered her home, though,” she continued. Lily’s brother wanted her to publicly name the man on social media to help people know that the incident was wrong, even though she acknowledged that it was dangerous.

She continued, “Most of my interactions are positive,” she said while speaking on the Just Between Us podcast. But I guess I’m starting to doubt people and their intentions. Before, I had younger people knock on my door. Like a group of them, but that was during the day. Living in a village is problematic because of this.

“Those younger people were just looking to have a photo and say hello. While something that happens at 12:30 in the evening is a little stranger and riskier. Perhaps I just need to be a little more cautious.

Lily’s admission comes just weeks after her parents opened up about her OnlyFans career and pleaded with her to stop. In the past, she has boasted about sleeping with over 1,000 men in just a day.

Lindsay, Lily’s father, said: “We’ve known for years that she’s done OnlyFans and I thought it was just posing in swimwear and lingerie.” In the meantime, her mother, Emma, said, “We stood back when she said she was doing OnlyFans because we want to keep our relationship with our daughter.”

We were open to it, but we were like “no, no” when it came to the next step. If there was anything we could do to change her profession, Lindsay continued, “We would do it overnight. Making sure she is safe is the “degradingness” of it.

We occasionally wonder, “Have we caused her upbringing any harm?” We’ve had nothing but good times and love, in my opinion, so why bother? We would sell our house because it would be if it were money. If you gave it all up now, Lily, you could have everything you wanted.

After being overcome by emotion, Lily later left the room and demanded time for herself. Lindsay revealed the frequency of the messages he received, pointing out that Emma and him both receive messages that read, “I hope your daughter dies.”

Taylor Swift fans work out Charli XCX diss track is about another huge celeb

Taylor Swift fans have a new theory behind her new tune Actually Romantic after listeners initially thought it was a diss track towards Charli XCX

Taylor Swift fans have changed their mind. Loyal Swifties have now claimed a new tune from The Life Of A Showgirl is actually a diss track to Kim Kardashian and not Charli XCX as first speculated.

As the album continues to break records – which were also set by TayTay herself – her fans have continued their deep dive into the meaning of her songs. And none has had a bigger inspection than Actually Romantic.

The track came under scrutiny initially as fans questioned if it was a dig at former pal Charli. However, as the days go on, it’s now queried as to whether it is actually hitting out at Kim Kardashian.

It’s claimed a major clue in the song is going to reignite the long-running feud between the pair. They have been at loggerheads for over a decade with Kim’s ex-husband Kanye West previously being embroiled in a bitter war of words with the 35-year-old songstress.

It’s claimed the second verse of Actually Romantic is referring to Taylor’s beef with Kim in 2018. The lyrics state: “But you keep sending me funny valentines / And I know you think it comes off vicious / But it’s precious, adorable”.

Some listeners point out it could be a jibe towards Kim’s 2018 antics, in which she sent Valentine’s gifts to her “haters”. In an Instagram Story at the time, Kim, now 44, revealed Taylor had made the list of recipients.

“I decided for this Valentine’s Day everyone deserves a Valentine”, Kim said in the post at the time. “So I’m going to send them to my lovers, to my haters, to everyone that I think of because it’s Valentine’s Day after all”.

Despite claims it is a diss track and Swifties being divided on to who it is targeting, Taylor herself moved to explain the song. In an audio track-by-track breakdown of the new album for Amazon Music, the Shake It Off singer insisted exactly why she wrote the song.

She said it’s “about coming to terms with the fact that someone else has a somewhat antagonistic, one-sided relationship with you.”

She said: “And all of a sudden they start doing too much and they start letting you know that actually, you’ve been living in their head rent-free and you had no idea. It’s presenting itself as them sort of resenting you or having a problem with you but you take that and just accept it as love and you accept it as attention and affection, and how flattering that somebody has made you such a big part of their reality when you didn’t even think about this.

Taylor then stated, “If you really think about it, it’s actually pretty romantic.”
