Katie Price’s ex Dane Bowers reveals reason for split as one thing she did ‘bothered’ him

At the height of her glamour modeling career, Katie Price admitted to being “obsessed” with singer Dane Bowers after splitting with her after dating for two years.

Katie Price’s ex boyfriend Dane Bowers has revealed he was to blame for their split as he shared his tipping point. The former glamour model, 47, is now loved up with reality star JJ Slater, but has a string of famous exes.

She has been married three times – to Peter Andre, Alex Reid and Kieran Hayler – but branded Dane the “love of her life”. The pair only dated for two years back in 1998 but the mum-of-five clearly holds a special place in her heart for the R&B singer.

Katie and Dane dated at the height of her modelling fame as she was catapulted into the spotlight, but it came at a price. She met Dane at the Wild Wild West film premiere and her mum Amy admitted she was “all in from the word go”.

However, Dane was “bothered” by Katie’s famed work behind closed doors. Dane remarked to The Shizzio Show in response to their romance, “It was really me being a bit of a d**k in terms of insecurities.”

I thought she was acting strangely as our relationship developed. She dressed up as a model in style. She had stopped performing topless. Dane continued, “After we had an argument, she said she had been asked to do this shoot, which I believe was Topless Calendar, but I said, “You said you’re not going to do that again.”

She responded, “Well, I’m going to do it.” I said, “If I tell you to do that, we can’t be together.” And she attempted to call my bluff. She succeeded. And I basically said, “Well, no, f**k off.”

Which was incorrect because she was employed there. And I was aware of her position. Katie revealed the breakdown of her romance with Dane during her Celebrity Big Brother appearance in 2015.

She told the other housemates, “It was] the first time my heart got properly broken,” adding that she degraded herself because “if he said jump, I would say how high.”

She later said, “He hurt me so much.” Katie fought valiantly to get him back, even attempting an overdose once to pique his interest.

Despite the fact that the pop star is already married to David Beckham, Katie had mistakenly convinced herself that Dane had developed a crush on her after they collaborated on the album Out of Your Mind in August 2000.

She said on Loose Women: “Lots of people try and do things make their exes jealous. But at the end of the day they’ve seen what you’re really like, so if you try and look different or go with their mates if they don’t want to know you they don’t want to know you.

You do these things for attention when you say, “You stupidly want your ex, Dane Bowers, back, and stupidly I took an overdose to get him back. I was young and naive, and if anyone was speaking to me, just don’t do it because it is a huge thing and doesn’t work.

“He worked with Victoria Beckham and I thought something was going on, I thought, is he obsessed with her? It ended up being her friend so my paranoia was right.”

Piers Morgan reveals Paul O’Grady was BGT’s original host but lost role for sour reason

Comedian and TV star Paul O’Grady was set to be the host of Britain’s Got Talent and even have the show named after him until things got very heated behind the scenes

Former Britain’s Got Talent judge Piers Morgan has revealed Paul O’Grady was meant to be the host for the hit talent show, until things went very wrong. The controversial broadcaster was part of the original line up on Simon Cowell’s talent show back in 2007.

Music mogul Simon was inspired by former talent shows including Opportunity Knocks and New Faces as he wanted to create a competition for people of any age and location to enter. He wanted a range of personalities on the judging panel with him, and first settled on Piers and Fern Britton.

Simon set his sights on comedian Paul as host and even planned to name the show, Paul O’Grady’s Got Talent. He met with Piers for lunch in Kensington, London to get him on board.

Piers admitted: “I owe him a lot actually because I would not have had any career in America without him. He has been great for me. He said ‘I am going to bring back an old all-round talent show like New Faces, Opportunity Knocks and The Gong Show in America. It can be any talent’.”

The broadcaster explained: “We did a pilot at ITV. Paul O’Grady was the host. The judging panel was Simon Cowell, me, and Fern Britton. It was about to be greenlit as a prime-time ITV show.”

Piers said he was ready “to get back in the game” but things quickly took a turn and the production was halted. He said: “Then Paul O’Grady had a massive falling out with ITV, told them to shove it and went to Channel 4.”

At the time, the Paul O’Grady Show moved over to Channel 4 and ITV stopped him being able to rent their studios. Paul decided to refuse all work with the network following the row.

He explained years later: “I did the pilot for Britain’s Got Talent – which was originally going to be called Paul O’Grady’s Got Talent. But I told the producers they were having a joke if they thought I would front a show with that title.

“The original panel of judges was going to be Simon Cowell, Fern Britton and Piers Morgan. I was the host. Then when I had the row with ITV I was banned from the studios.

“I remember I rang Simon and told him he had a huge hit on his hands, but there was no way I could do it. I said, if I am banned I have to be banned from everything. I can’t be a hypocrite and come in and do this. I had to bow out.”

Paul added: “I don’t regret what I did. Not in the slightest. Good luck to them.” He did also manage to patch things up with ITV and returned years later with Paul O’Grady Live!.

Paul’s decision to boycott ITV meant Britain’s Got Talent was hit with a huge delay and Simon decided to kick off with America’s Got Talent first. Simon enlisted Piers again as he wanted “someone who is judgmental, opinionated, obnoxious and arrogant” as him.

Britain’s Got Talent hit screens a year later with Simon, Piers and Amanda Holden as judges and Ant and Dec as hosts. Piers said on The Overlap and Betfair’s Stick to Cricket show: “He had literally come up with the entire concept of Got Talent on a napkin at the Ivy in Kensington.

“Bring back a talent show. Have a tough mean judge, a mother hen figure, a funny person and any talent goes. Now the Got Talent franchise is in more than 60 countries around the world. It changed my life.”

Bridesmaid walks down aisle with suited man and then people spot who he is

A bridesmaid was walking down the aisle with a man in a suit – and many people recognised the famous face immediately. So can you guess who it is? They were walking in One Direction…

Weddings are delightful celebrations that bring tremendous joy and excitement. The happy couple spend their special day gazing adoringly at one another, the beverages typically flow freely, emotions may run high during the heartfelt speeches, but once the dance floor beckons, everyone’s ready to let loose and celebrate after such an exhilarating day.

However, what would your reaction be if a genuinely famous person turned up at a wedding you were attending? When bridesmaids make their way down the aisle, they’re typically accompanied by one of the groomsmen – regardless of whether they’re romantically involved or not.

So when one lady served as a bridesmaid at her mate’s nuptials, she never anticipated being partnered with an incredibly attractive gentleman (and celebrity!).

Looking absolutely stunning, the woman was attired in a pale green satin gown, with her makeup and hair styled flawlessly.

However, it was her aisle buddy that set people talking once they recognised his identity.

The attractive gentleman appeared exceptionally smart and was sporting a double-breasted stone-hued suit with a matching tie.

It was actually Niall Horan, 32, from One Direction – and observers were astounded by what they witnessed.

X user @sammy1714 posted a photograph of the duo proceeding down the aisle together, writing: “Imagine being a bridesmaid at a wedding and the groomsman you’re paired up with is Niall Horan”.

Niall Horan grabbed the microphone later on in the evening, delivering a karaoke performance at his mates’ wedding celebration.

@b****zone61 shared on Instagram: “Later at the reception, he slipped back into familiar territory, taking the mic to deliver a surprise performance.

“Blending celebration with song, Niall turned the evening into something even more unforgettable, proving he can light up a stage just as easily as he can walk down one”.

Guests were stunned when Niall made his way down the aisle, with many having no clue he’d be there. One quipped: “This is the kind of stuff that happens in my dreams”.

Another penned: “The bride must be very in love with her partner because best believe that if Niall Horan was at my wedding, I’m inviting HIM to stand in the front with me”.

A Niall admirer jested: “Do you think Niall does weddings like – as the groom? Cause this is my formal invitation for him to lock in”.

But the only girl Niall is expected to wed anytime soon is his girlfriend Amelia Woolley, whom he started seeing in 2020.
