Zara McDermott’s favourite ‘toasty and warm’ heated blanket is currently £12 off in flash sale

Temperatures are due to be dropping, and we’ve found where to shop Zara McDermott’s favourite electric blanket with £12 off for a limited time

With a chilly spell due, now is the perfect time to get a heated blanket (if you haven’t already), and Zara McDermott’s current go-to favourite is on offer with £12 off. Sharing a few of her favourite buys right now with her followers, Zara said the Beurer HD 75 Nordic Electric Blanket “gets so warm and toasty”, and despite not enjoying the winter, she loves to get this electric blanket out.

Normally priced at £69.99, this cosy blanket is now £57.99 in a flash sale on Amazon. The blanket features six different temperature settings that can be manually tweaked with a handheld switch.

The switch can also be removed, allowing the blanket to be easily washed when needed.

Not to mention, if you fall asleep and forget to switch it off, it will do so automatically after three hours, so you can snuggle in peace knowing the blanket will turn off safely.

Zara isn’t the only fan of this blanket. It boasts hundreds of 5-star reviews on Amazon for its cosy feel and different heat settings.

One shopper wrote, “I bought this on Amazon last year for winter and continue to use it now. I use it to lie on when watching TV, and it’s easy to fall asleep as it’s so cosy. It has a three hour timer shutoff so it doesn’t run endlessly if you fall asleep and forget to turn it off.”A second added, “This is great. The fluffy fabric is good quality, the blanket heats well, it is simple to use. Just set the slider to the heat you want and turn it on. After three hours it turns itself off. No complex controllers to try to remember, just simple and effective. Great! The slider goes from 1 to 6, and I find 4 is perfect. Some heated blankets are quite weak and the hottest setting is required, but this blanket seems a little more powerful than some others, so you probably won’t need to set it to 6.”

Not everyone was as impressed, however. One reviewer commented, “As a blanket this is really cosy to cuddle up with on the sofa. It’s a nice size and feels so soft against my skin. My main issue with is that even on the highest heat setting, it doesn’t get very warm. It’s only on the highest heat setting that it feels remotely warm.”

Disgraced Diddy’s jail time is extended after ‘multiple rule breaks’

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is currently serving a four year sentence after being convicted of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution in relation to his ‘freak off’ parties

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has reportedly had his jail time increased. The 56-year-old was jailed for four years last month after being convicted of prostitution-related charges.

Though the exact details of why the disgraced hip hop mogul will spend more time behind bars has not been disclosed, it’s been reported he has allegedly violating multiple prison rules since being behind bars.

This means Diddy’s release date has been pushed back by a month. So instead of being released in May 2028, the rapper will now have to wait until June 2028.

He is currently being held at the Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institute in New Jersey after being transferred from Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center. Fort Dix is a lower security prison where the Bad Boy Records label founder will serve the rest of his sentence.

Page Six confirmed the report that The I’ll Be Missing You hitmaker Diddy’s jail time had been extended. But the reasons why have not been made public.

Last week it was claimed Diddy was ‘in trouble with prison officials’ for allegedly making homemade alcohol from fermented sugar, Fanta and apples. Though his family have denied this, posting on social media: “The rumors [sic] claiming Mr. Combs was caught with alcohol are completely false. His only focus is becoming the best version of himself and returning to his family.”

His spokesman Juda Engelmayer confirmed he has entered a rehab programme and said Diddy is “committed to sobriety, healing and trying to set an example for others”. He added: “Mr Combs is an active participant in the Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP) and has taken his rehabilitation process seriously from the start.”

Giving an update on his progress, the spokesman said Diddy was “in his first week at FCI Fort Dix [after being transferred from Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center] and … focused on adjusting, working on himself and doing better each day.”

The rep continued: “As with any high-profile individual in a new environment, there will be many rumors [sic] and exaggerated stories throughout his time there — most of them untrue. We ask that people give him the benefit of the doubt, the privacy to focus on his personal growth.”

Engelmayer said the rapper was now working in the prison’s church library, describing the environment as “warm, respectful, and rewarding”.

Successful completion of the rehab programme could cut down the amount of jail time he has to serve. He was sentenced on October 3 to 50 months in prison and received 14 months’ credit for time already served – though his team are thought to be appealing it.

Once released Diddy will still be subject to five years’ supervision, alongside drug testing and mental health treatment conditions.

Prosecutors had sought more than 11 years, citing what they described as a sustained pattern of coercion, manipulation and violent sexual abuse.

During the trial, former girlfriend Cassie Ventura testified that Combs used violence to force her participation in so-called “freak-offs” – drug-fuelled sex sessions involving sex workers he hired. She told the court she felt “disgusted” and “humiliated” afterwards.

At sentencing, US District Judge Arun Subramanian told Combs he “abused the power and control with women you professed to love” and said: “You abused them physically, emotionally and psychologically.” Combs apologised to Ventura and another former girlfriend, calling his conduct “disgusting, shameful and sick.”

Sabrina Carpenter lands a major role in bold new musical take on British classic

Sabrina has bagged herself her first major film move, and this time its a musical take on a British classic we all know and love. While her role is yet to be announced, we expect it to be big.

Sabrina Carpenter has landed her first major acting role in a big Hollywood movie. But this film is different from her previous roles, it’s a spin on the British classic Alice in Wonderland.

Her role, which is yet to be released, will require her to both act and sing, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Sources revealed that the movie is a passion project for the pop star, as she approached the studio a year ago with specific ideas and even a look book, which doesn’t come as a huge surprise as Sabrina has been a long time fan of Alice in Wonderland.

In 2021, she revealed it is one of her favourite movies, most probably referring to the original 1951 Disney film which she said. “I’m a huge fan of Alice in Wonderland and over the years, my fans will bring me Alice in Wonderland-themed things. Someone actually sent me an original illustration from one of the original sketches from Alice in Wonderland, which is crazy,” she told Interview Magazine.

The musical’s release date is yet to be announced. The new take on the film will be based on the original, Lewis Carroll’s novel which follows Alice as she falls through a rabbit hole and ends up in a fantasy world full of odd creatures and an adventure.

This isn’t the first time the book has inspired new creations, previously it has inspired the 1951 Disney cartoon movie and more recently, the 2010 film that features Johnny Depp and Mia Wasikowska, and its sequel which slightly changes the story seeing Alice end up in the fantasy world through a looking glass.

This version will be written and directed by Lorene Scafaria, however it has not been disclosed which direction the film will go into but there is the possibility of it being targeted to Gen z’s as oppose to children considering Sabrina is 26 years old.

Adam’s mum, who he once shared a close bond with, was photographed wearing a grey cardigan, a black and white spotted blouse as she broke her cover. she had her black locks clipped up with her full fringe down and appeared to be makeup-free as she struck a solemn expression in the images.

The pictures come after it emerged Caroline was not invited to Holly’s hen do and now it has been claimed she has been struck off the wedding invites too. The row has gone public with members of the family making comments online.

Adam’s auntie Louise also claimed nephew Adam – who is a ‘born again Christian’ – didn’t appear to be acting in-line with his morals at the moment. She wrote: “Yes. Adam is a born again Christian. He’s not living by the tenets of Christianity is he? Where is ‘honour thy mother and thy father’ where is the forgiveness?”

Later hitting back at a social media user who accused the Peaty family of ‘airing their dirty laundry’ in public and suggesting their ‘lack of decorum’ led to them being banned from the wedding, his aunt Louise hit back saying: “Our family and friends place real value on love, friendship, loyalty and being there for each other.”

She continued: “I hate injustice always have and I will always speak out against it whether you are the King of England or a sycophant like yourself. Unlike you I happen to know all sides of the story. Unlike you I have seen heard and read the most vile things a son can say to a mother.”

At the time, Caroline’s Instagram feed reflected nothing but pride and positivity for both Holly and her son. She frequently shared updates about Adam’s career and achievements, including a February 2024 post in which she gushed: “Super proud of you Adam x To achieve that time especially when you are not fully tapered is amazing. To see you happy with your swim is so good to see.”

Vicky Pattison says husband saved her life just weeks before competing on Strictly

Vicky Pattison detailed how her husband, Ercan Ramadan, saved her life due to one specific act during a dark moment earlier this year, not long before her stint on Strictly Come Dancing

Vicky Pattison has revealed that a specific act by her husband saved her life during a dark moment in the run-up to her appearance on Strictly Come Dancing. In a brave admission, the Strictly hopeful discussed her experience with suicidal thoughts and how one night, she had called her husband, Ercan Ramadan, and told him that she didn’t know what she was “capable of”.

Vicky, who’s partnered up with Strictly pro Kai Widdrington on the popular BBC show, has premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), which the NHS describes as a chronic hormone-related mood disorder.

Its symptoms include depression, mood swings, anxiety, feeling hopeless, anger and irritability, as well as physical effects, such as joint or muscle pain, fatigue, headaches and bloating. It also detailed how many people with the condition suffer from suicidal thoughts.

Speaking in a recent interview, Vicky described a worrying incident that occurred this year while she was preparing for her stint on Strictly.

Vicky told the Mail: “There was a night, earlier this year, when I was alone in the house with the dogs. Ercan was out playing football with his mates. I had to ring him and say, ‘I don’t know what I am capable of right now’.

“He stayed on the phone, reminding me of all the good things in our life – the dogs, our holidays, our family. I couldn’t see any of that in that moment. I was lost.”

The publication also noted that Vicky didn’t have a plan for what she was about to do, but she feels adamant that Ercan’s act of keeping her on the phone saved her life.

She added: “I felt that the world would be better off without me. It wasn’t that I wanted to die. It was that I couldn’t imagine living like that any longer.”

It wouldn’t be the first time that Vicky has opened up about PMDD. In January, the former Geordie Shore star told Heat magazine that she “spent the best part of the last 10 years” thinking she was “descending into madness” prior to her diagnosis.

She said: “I spent the best part of the last 10 years thinking I was descending into madness, being told by doctors there was nothing wrong with me. They were insinuating that I was just weak and dramatic.

“When I finally got my diagnosis, it was the most liberating feeling. I thought, ‘You’re not weak, you’re not horrible, you’re not depressed – you have a disorder’.”

PMDD reportedly arises as a result of what the NHS describes as an “abnormal reaction” to hormonal changes during the menstrual cycle, although the exact cause remains unknown.

Treatments for PMDD may include contraceptives, anti-depressants, or induced menopause. The NHS also suggests that lifestyle changes and therapy may help with the condition.

Will Ferrell forced to halt filming for upcoming Netflix series after off set injury

Will Ferrell has had to take a break from filming the golfing comedy he is working on with Netflix after suffering from an injury off set that has left him unable to act this week

Will Ferrell has hit an unexpected bump in the fairway, as the Anchorman star is currently taking a break from filming his new Netflix golf comedy series after suffering an injury off set.

A source involved in the production process has claimed that the 57-year-old actor sustained the injury recently while away from the set. While the exact details regarding the accident have not been disclosed, the incident was reportedly enough to keep Will from filming scenes scheduled this week at the Bicycle Casino, which is located just outside Los Angeles.

The injury isn’t thought to be serious, but it made it “impossible for him to shoot the planned material safely or comfortably,” according to the insider.

As a result, producers have temporarily reshuffled the filming schedule while Will takes time to recover, TMZ have reported. Fortunately, the comedy legend is expected to be back on set very soon.

The upcoming Netflix series has been generating buzz since it was announced earlier this year. The ten-part show follows Lonnie ‘The Hawk’ Hawkins, a fictional larger-than-life golfing icon who is being played by Ferrell.

Will is joined on set by a variety of cast members including Old School and Legally Blonde star Luke Wilson, who plays a rival golfer who’s beaten Lonnie twice for the tour championship, and Will’s long time Saturday Night Live co-star Molly Shannon who plays Stacy.

The rest of the line-up includes Chris Parnell (30 Rock, Archer) who is playing a pompous PGA Tour board member, and Katelyn Tarver (Ballers, Big Time Rush) who is starring as a social media influencer engaged to a rising young golfer played by Jimmy Tatro (American Vandal).

David Hornsby (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) also stars in the show as a wealthy Southern businessman dating Shannon’s character, while comedian Fortune Feimster (FUBAR, The Mindy Project) plays Lonnie’s new caddie.

The project is executive produced by Will alongside Jessica Elbaum and Alix Taylor for Gloria Sanchez Productions, with Rian Johnson (Knives Out) and Ram Bergman producing under their T-Street banner.

Will’s brief time out from filming comes on the heels of a busy year for the actor, who recently starred in the heartfelt Netflix documentary Will & Harper.

The film follows Will and his long time friend and writing partner Harper Steele — who came out as transgender in 2021 — as they embark on a cross-country road trip to reconnect and explore the evolution of their friendship.

The documentary premiered at Sundance in 2024 to glowing reviews, with critics calling it “brave” and “deeply human”. While speaking about the project, Harper told Netflix: “Ultimately, the main reason that got me to do it was, ‘Oh, maybe this could be useful for others.’ I hope this is somehow useful to people — that it makes them laugh or they get something out of it.”
