Billie Eilish grabbed and dragged to floor by fan in shocking concert incident

While performing to a sold-out crowd in Miami as part of her Hit Me Hard and Soft tour, Billie Eilish was grabbed and dragged to the floor by a violent fan

Billie Eilish was violently grabbed and dragged to the floor by a fan at her concert in Miami on Thursday (9 October) night. The incident happened as the What Was I Made For? singer passed by the barricade and high-fived excited fans, only for one to latch on and yank her arm backwards.

The singer started off the North American part of her Hit Me Hard and Soft tour with a concert at the Kaseya Center in Miami. At one point, she walked along a barricade separating her exit routes from the crowd who had bought standing tickets. She high-fived many of the fans but one decided not to let go.

In a video posted online, Billie was seen being pulled backwards and falling to the floor, as the crowd nearby erupted in screams. Security immediately intervened and forced the crowd away from the barricade, while Billie jumped up and continued walking as if nothing had happened.

Fans took to social media to praise the singer for how she handled the situation. One wrote: “Damn, the way she kept going, insane.” Another wrote that Billie “recovered like a queen”.

Billie has not commented on the incident. This is not the first time the 23-year-old has had to deal with inappropriate fan behaviour. In 2019, a fan put their hands around her neck while she was interacting with a crowd in Austin.

Billie later told Vanity Fair that she didn’t think the fan meant any harm. “They’re only trying to be loving, and sometimes it just comes off wrong.”

In December 2024, Billie was performing in Arizona when she was hit in the face by a necklace that had been thrown from the crowd. The year before, she opened up about how she is always being hit by something while on stage.

“I’ve been getting hit on stage with things for, like, literally six years,” she said to The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s absolutely infuriating when you’re up there.

“I have mixed feelings about it, because when you’re up there, it blows. But you know it’s out of love, and they’re just trying to give you something. You’re in a vulnerable position.”

Billie has been performing for years, after she rose to fame with her song Ocean Eyes at just 14-years-old. Since then, she has amassed two Oscars, four BRIT awards and eight Grammys.

Her brother, Finneas, is also a Grammy-winner, and has made a name for himself as a record producer and Billie’s longtime creative partner. Their parents are actors Maggie Baird and Patrick O’Connell.

Billie is set to perform in Miami again on Saturday (11 October). The Mirror reached out to her reps for a comment.

Alan Patridge star Steve Coogan’s life off-screen – from rock star romance to famous daughter

Steve Coogan is best known for his alter-ego Alan Partridge but the comedian has had a long and successful career despite facing turbulence behind the scenes in his private life

How Are You? It’s Alan (Partridge) star Steve Coogan has long been known as quirky alter-ego Alan Partridge.

The popular comedian has enjoyed a hugely successful career in film and television having appeared in big name productions including Philomena, Stan and Ollie, The Reckoning Around the World in 80 Days, Tropic Thunder, The Trip and Saxondale. Steve, 59, has often made headlines for his personal life having dated a string of models, renowned actresses and singers.

Now he has opened up about how he is set to become a grandfather after a turbulent past that saw battle through cocaine addiction and a series of failed relationships. He revealed the news on Tuesday while appearing on The Louis Theroux Podcast.

Speaking of his love life he said, “I’ve not been hugely successful. I was married a long time ago. I have a stepson and a daughter, and I’m soon to be a grandfather, and all that stuff gives me great satisfaction. Having those relationships in my life are the most important relationships in my life.”

Steve shares his only child, Clare, 29, a chef, with his ex, solicitor Anna Cole. Clare is in a relationship with BAFTA-winning actor Jamie Demetriou, 37, who played Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s love interest in Fleabag.

Steve was born on October 14, 1965, and grew up in Alkrington in Rochdale where he gained 4 A-levels: English Literature, British Government and Politics, Art, and General Studies.

He began his acting and comedy career working as a voice artist for television advertisements and the hit satirical puppet show Spitting Image. He also performed in sketch shows and at Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

He then created his iconic character, Alan Partridge, as a parody of British sports presenters while working on Radio 4 comedy On the Hour. The character had a number of shows including Knowing Me, Knowing You with Alan Partridge, I’m Alan Partridge, Mid Morning Matters with Alan Partridge, Alan Partridge’s Scissored Isle, This Time with Alan Partridge.

He also had his own feature film, Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa, and is back on our screens in How Are You? It’s Alan (Partridge), which is currently airing. The 2000s saw Steve transition into films and more dramatic roles, including 24 Hour Party People and played Octavius, a miniature Roman general figure in the Night at the Museum trilogy.

He famously worked alongside Rob Brydon for the partially improvised BBC2 sitcom The Trip and subsequent series and films. He also worked as a writer and producer in Philomena and Stan & Ollie.

His more recent roles include playing Jimmy Savile in the BBC One series The Reckoning, Paddy Meyers in Joker: Folie à Deux and The Lost King.

In 2002, Steve married British socialite Caroline Hickman, but the pair divorced in 2005, with Hickman saying the marriage had irretrievably broken down. The same year as his divorce was granted, he had a brief two-week fling with Hole singer Courtney Love, who was married to Nirvana rocker Kurt Cobain.

In 2021, Love called the rendezvous “one of my life’s great shames” on social media. In the post, the musician criticised her solo record America’s Sweetheart, writing, “Like Steve Coogan, or crack, it’s one of my life’s great shames.”

Asked about the romance claims, he once said, “Some of it was true, most of it was b*****ks. To borrow the title of the film, it was 20 per cent c***, and 80 per cent bull.”

Beyond Courtney Love, Steve has had a number of high-profile relationships. He dated actress and restaurant heiress China Chow between 2008 and 2011, model Elle Basey between 2011 and 2014 and Melanie Sykes in 2018 and 2019.

Steve’s daughter, Clare Coogan Cole, previously worked in administration and later campaigned for former deputy leader of the Labour Party Lord Tom Watson for three years. She has also played minor roles in her father’s projects, including Saxondale, Mid Morning Matters with Alan Partridge, and The Alan Partridge podcast.

Clare walso worked as a Production Assistant at Rag Doll TV Ltd, a TV company that produces children’s programmes.

Steve lives in the quiet village of Barcombe within the Lewes District of East Sussex. The picturesque East Sussex village sits cosily upon the South Downs, away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

He is well known for his love of cars, becoming something of a motoring enthusiast over the years. As well as a swimming pool and tennis court, his mansion is believed to have plenty of space for an array of cars, including a selection of Ferraris.

Before moving to Barcombe, Steve lived in Ovingdean on the outskirts of Brighton. The property he resided in is famous in its own right – Ovingdean Grange.

The country mansion has two main claims to fame: while known for being Steve’s home of Steve, it also famously featured in a well-known novel. The author William Ainsworth, a friend of Charles Dickens, wrote the novel Ovingdean Grange: A Tale Of The South Downs in 1857.

Steve paid £2.45 million for the Grade II listed house in 2011, and lived there for around six years before listing it for sale for £3.5 million. The six-bedroom house is made up of three floors and comes with a courtyard garden, a cinema room, and a billiard room.

Nick Knowles says ‘it was a shame’ as he talks major turning point after Strictly

DIY SOS star Nick Knowles took to the Strictly Come Dancing floor with his professional partner Luba Mushtuk last year, but his stint was short-lived

Nick Knowles said “it was a “shame” to have left Strictly Come Dancing earlier than he hoped, while competing last year. The presenter, famed for his work on Real Rescues and DIY SOS, was partnered with Luba Mushtuk but was unfortunately knocked out, in favour of singer Shayne Ward and his partner Nancy Xu.

During the dance-off, Nick and Luba showcased a Charleston to Rain on the Roof from Paddington 2, while Shayne and Nancy delivered a Cha Cha to Sub Sub featuring Melanie Williams’ Ain’t No Love (Ain’t No Use).

After both couples performed again, all four judges agreed that Shayne would progress in the competition. Speaking recently, Nick reminisced about his stint on the hugely successful BBC programme and described it as a “joyful experience”.

He added to the Telegraph: “Yes, I’m built for rugby, not the Cha Cha Cha, but it was a joyful experience.

“Well out of my comfort zone – and it was a shame I had to leave early,” he added, before explaining that the show also sparked a major turning point.

“I lost more than 15kg in 10 weeks during training and I could feel a difference in the way I moved on my feet,” he continued.

Throughout his time on Strictly, Nick was plagued by various injuries, damaging his shoulder and knee during rehearsals. The presenter additionally had an operation to “re-attach” his bicep following a separate injury he suffered while replacing a tyre.

One fan questioned Nick (who’d been posting updates on social media) at the time if he would be able to participate in the end-of-series dance, but he responded that he wasn’t sure if his “injuries will allow”.

He elaborated: “I’m not sure my injuries will allow – I have to wait for the knee operation until the bicep operation has healed so I can use crutches afterwards. So I don’t think recovery will be in time sadly.”

In a separate update from his hospital bed, Nick mentioned that he’d just woken up from his operation, and that it “went well” after they “reattached” his bicep.

He continued to explain that he faced physiotherapy over the next two or three months and that afterwards, he should be “right as rain”, although it was “one down and one to go” on his knee.

In a heartfelt statement made after his departure from the show, Nick expressed his gratitude for his former Strictly partner, Luba, and apologised that viewers wouldn’t get to enjoy her “lovely dances”.

He stated: “Your creativity and hard work are awesome, and I couldn’t have gone on this adventure with a better partner. I’m sorry I couldn’t take you further into the competition because people should get to see the lovely dances you prepared in advance.”

Rebecca Ferguson brands Tom Cruise a ‘man-child’ and explains ‘good’ reason

Rebecca Ferguson has branded actor Tom Cruise, with whom she starred in the Mission: Impossible franchise, a ‘man-child’, but had a perfectly good explanation for it

Rebecca Ferguson has labelled Tom Cruise a “man-child” but “in a good way”. The actress, who starred alongside the Top Gun actor in the Mission: Impossible franchise, revealed that filming was often chaotic due to last-minute script changes and stunts being cut, while the leading man would frequently arrive late on set.

Speaking in a recent interview, she said: “You don’t have scripts and have no idea where it’s going to go, which is annoying and tedious in equal measure. You train for a stunt scene for months and all of a sudden they cut it .. [Cruise is] a man-child in a good way. I often joke that there’s someone with a tranquilliser gun and a net looking for him.

“It’s frustrating because you’re ready to shoot and the sun’s going down.”

She added to The Times: “Tom goes: ‘What are we waiting for?’ and I go: ‘You!’ And he laughs and goes, ‘F***, I’m sorry’.”

Ferguson portrayed Ilsa Faust in the franchise, but her character was killed off in the 2023 instalment Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. She told The Times that she agreed it was time for her to exit the series as “there was nothing more to do” with her character.

Recently, Ferguson collaborated with screenwriter Steven Knight on the Peaky Blinders spin-off film The Immortal Man. She later discovered that he had been tasked with writing the next James Bond movie.

She confessed that if she had known about his plans at the time, she would have badgered him for a role, as it’s her dream to portray a Bond villain.

Rebecca expressed: “I would have been pushing to play the baddie. We haven’t had a female Bond villain.”

The actress has previously collaborated with the new Bond movie’s director, Denis Villeneuve, on the Dune franchise and she disclosed that she’s also discussed the prospect of a female antagonist in the next 007 instalment.

She revealed to the publication: “I already said that to Denis – ‘Female Bond villain, b****!’ He was like: ‘Oh la la’.”

Rebecca further commented on the Bond franchise: “I love the Bonds, most of them, but I often found that they weren’t very good at writing for women.”

Despite this, she holds high expectations for Knight’s screenplay, stating: “He wrote [Maria Callas biopic] Maria for Angelina Jolie – he’s written loads of good female roles.”

Singer Neil Young removes music from Amazon in bid to ‘save America’

Heart of Gold singer Neil Young shared a lengthy statement on his blog, in which he explained why his music isn’t available to stream on Amazon Music any longer

Singer Neil Young has removed his music from Amazon in a bid to “save America”. The musician made the announcement via his blog in a long statement.

He stated that fans would no longer be able to stream his music via Amazon Music while also condemning Jeff Bezos’ support of Donald Trump. The 79-year-old urged his followers to “buy local”, “support your community” and “do the right thing”.

In his statement, he wrote: “Forget Amazon and Whole Foods [supermarket chain owned by Amazon]. Forget Facebook. Buy local. Buy direct. [Jeff] Bezos supports this government. It does not support you or me.

“The time is here. Forget Amazon. Soon my music will not be there. It is easy to buy local. Support your community. Go to the local store.

“Don’t go back to the big corporations who have sold out America. We all have to give up something to save America from the Corporate Control Age it is entering.

“They need you to buy from them. Don’t. They shut down our government. Your income. Your safety. Your family’s health security. Take America Back.

“Together, stop buying from the big corporations, support local business. Do the right thing. Show who you are.” Neil is referencing the US government shutdown after the Republican and Democratic parties didn’t agree to pass a bill funding government services.

Neil recently left social media but did not confirm whether he would also be removing physical copies for sale from Amazon.

The music star removed his music from Spotify three years ago as he protested the platform’s distribution of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast as concerns emerged it was spreading misinformation about vaccines.

At the time, Joe Rogan’s podcast was signed exclusively to Spotify. However, his music then appeared again on Spotify last year as he said he couldn’t remove all of his work from online.

Neil released another statement at the time where he explained why his music would be returning. The announcement read: “My decision comes as music services Apple and Amazon have started serving the same disinformation podcast features I had opposed at Spotify.

“I cannot just leave Apple and Amazon, like I did Spotify, because my music would have very little streaming outlet to music lovers at all, so I have returned to Spotify, in sincere hopes that Spotify sound quality will improve and people will be able to hear and feel all the music as we made it.

“Qobuz and Tidal, where my music is presented, are all high-res as well.” Neil Young and The Chrome Hearts headlined Glastonbury this year and topped the bill at BST Hyde Park in London.
