Made In Chelsea’s Joshua Patterson ‘hit rock bottom’ after godson’s tragic death

The Made in Chelsea star explained why he’s trying to get money for a million therapy sessions and what his daughter wants from her.

When Joshua Patterson’s godson tragically died at just three months old, he “hit rock bottom”. The Made in Chelsea star has opened up about that difficult time in his life and why breaking a world record helped him – and hopefully many others – get back on track.

Last year, Joshua’s friends, Emily and George, had a baby boy called Archie. Three months later, Archie had died from SIDS – sudden infant death syndrome. “I hit rock bottom,” he told the Mirror. “I was at one of the lowest points I’ve been, I think, in life.”

Joshua and Emily, George, and the many other families who regret losing children to SIDS, had a very difficult time losing Archie when he was so young. Archie leaving at the right age is unforgivable, he said. He had a lot of life to lead. And it’s attempting to process that, in my opinion.

You must approach death in your own unique way, Joshua said. And how did he handle the death of Archie? By breaking a world record, he raised money for charities.

Joshua ran a marathon at the highest altitude ever on September 16 to break the previous record. He did it because it was physically exhausting, but he still managed to raise money for Emily and George’s baby loss club.

Any families that have lost children will be based there, like a central hub. And the goal of this challenge was to raise £35,000 to pay for 1, 000 therapy sessions for families who lost children.

“It was a monumental challenge that required us to face an even greater challenge.” I wanted to make sure that whenever I think of my godson, I look up and smile at him. We’ve done it together, in my opinion, so that we can look back on these moments with pure joy and happiness.

Without this cause, Joseph added, he might not have been able to complete the run because it was so physically difficult to do so, but also just to understand what an inspiration Archie can become and what a profound impact I believe he can have on so many families in this country.

And this is just the beginning. The ultimate goal of the Baby Loss Club is to fund a million therapy sessions for parents who have lost their children. A thousand already sounded like a lot, but as Joshua pointed out, they can go in a flash. According to the NHS, around 200 babies die unexpectedly and unexplained each year. So, in a single year, a thousand sessions may only provide five opportunities for each set of parents to unpack their grief.

Joshua’s record-breaking accomplishment is a truly extraordinary testament to strength, resilience, and love, according to Pascale Harvie, president and general manager of JustGiving. In honor of Archie, to endure such extreme circumstances is a profoundly personal tribute as well as a powerful act of advocacy and awareness. The money he has raised will have a long-lasting impact on an issue that affects countless families. Joshua has inspired many and impacted SIDS by bringing important attention to SIDS by transforming grief into action. We extend our sincere congratulations to this remarkable achievement and to Archie’s legacy.

With just over £25.5k, Joshua’s fundraiser’s Just Giving page has raised 73% of its goal. When he was asked if he would ever go back to Made in Chelsea, even for an episode, to raise money over the goal line, he laughed and declined.

To be honest, it’s a completely different show altogether. And I believe the cast members are probably between 21 and 21 years old. I have an eight-year-old daughter and am 36 years old. So I feel like that much has happened in my life. I wish them all the best of luck. He continued, “I’m a celebrity SAS, and I’m not out of the running.”

Another motivation for Joshua to run the marathon is India, which he shares with Binky Felstead. He said, “I want her to know that life is difficult because it’s amazing, but it’s inevitable that you’re going to face adversity in life and don’t be overburdened by it.” I’ve seen firsthand how quickly life can be taken from someone or be changed, and how quickly it can change.

“I hope that I can leave that impression on her with the work that I’ve done,” she said. I already have no doubt about her progress and know that she will continue to achieve amazing things.

He continued to sneer at India’s commitment to performing and theater. Although it’s a little outside of Joshua’s athletic background, he wouldn’t want it any other way. Because I believe her character is developing in her own distinctive way, I don’t really push the things I love to. She enjoys dancing and music, and she is very theatrical. So I’m very interested to see what direction that will lead her.

Binky, India’s mother, is a fellow Made in Chelsea graduate. Although the two ended their relationship in 2018, they continue to co-parent peacefully. Joshua said, “Listen, your child is the most important thing in the world. It is more significant than anything else.

And so I’m happy as long as my daughter smiles and is content, right? Therefore, I believe that everyone is doing a fantastic job in that regard.

Estella Bartlett’s jewellery advent calendar just launched and I couldn’t wait to unbox it

The best collection of accessories under £200 can be found here. Estella Bartlett has finally released its 2025 jewelry advent calendar.

A jewelry advent calendar is one that I adore getting my hands on all year. Although the good ones and the chocolate-filled ones are great, you’ll eventually use up all the leftovers or have at least a few options that you don’t like or find suitable for your skin type.

On the other hand, an Estella Bartlett’s keepsake calendar is the one I absolutely love getting every year. It gives you a ton of keepsakes to hold onto and wear forever. I couldn’t resist getting a sneak peek inside Estella Bartlett’s 2025 Advent Calendar after it was officially released.

This cocktail advent calendar allows parties to keep the drinks flowing all the way through the party season.

READ MORE: I received free luxury beauty products in the form of “LookFantastic’s 2025 beauty advent calendar.”

The calendar costs a whopping £376, and it also includes more than £175 worth of accessories for free. One of my favorite aspects of Estella Bartlett’s calendar is the variety of pieces inside. You can choose whether you want a gold or silver calendar so you can purchase items that go with your preferred style, from necklaces and bracelets to earrings.

The Estella Bartlett Advent Calendar features everything from colorful beaded necklaces, hoop earrings, studs, pendants, and charm bracelets, plus a fantastic mix of styles. This year’s offerings range from chunky chains (my favorite), to colorful beaded necklaces (my favorite). Additionally, this year’s contents include an extra-special treat.

You also receive a £30 gift card that can be used to exchange anything on the Estella Barlett website in addition to the pre-chosen pieces of jewelry. You can use the voucher as soon as you open the calendar to buy something special for yourself or to buy something new for yourself because it isn’t even hidden behind one of the doors.

I’ve already collected a lot of Estella Bartlett jewelry, and I can tell you that each of their creations has a history of wear. They are well worth the price because they never tarnish, the clasps are strong, and they never snag or get damaged.

Unlike traditional advent calendars, there are only 12 doors to open rather than 24 or 25 in the Estella Bartlett Advent Calendar. You can decide whether to open one every other day, open them for the first 12 days, or wait until December 12 to start opening them so you can countdown to Christmas Eve instead.

You could pick up a second advent calendar with 12 doors to choose from, of course. The Joma Gold-Plated 12 Days of Sparkle Advent Calendar, which costs £179.99 but is more expensive, has the option to personalize some of the pieces inside.

For yourself, you can choose Scream Pretty’s Design Your Own Advent Calendar, which costs £225 and includes 12 pairs of earrings, studs, huggies, and cuffs. The Christmas Gold Jewellery Advent Calendar from New Look is a very affordable option, starting at just £24.99.

The Advent Calendar for Missoma’s Gold Jewellery is £495 and includes necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and ear cuffs for more expensive, luxurious options. The ASTLEY CLARKE 12-Day Limited Edition 18ct Yellow-Gold Vermeil And Sterling-Silver Advent Calendar costs £398, but it is worth a sizable £906 in terms of free items.

Kate Garraway’s heartbreaking reasons for refusing to find love after husband Derek’s death

EXCLUSIVE: Kate Garraway’s closest and dearest would like to find happiness with a new person, but according to a source, the GMB presenter isn’t ready yet.

After Kate Garraway shut down rumours that she was dating again, a source reveals she has a well-meaning cheerleading team around her who want nothing more than to see her loved-up once again. The Good Morning Britain host spoke out about potentially taking tentative steps back into dating after losing her husband Derek Draper, but confessed that she found the idea of being with anyone but him “preposterous”.

Kate, 58, was married to the political lobbyist-turned-psychotherapist for almost two decades, until his death in January 2024 aged 56, following a long battle with Covid. Opening up about how she’s coped since becoming a single parent to her and Derek’s two children, Darcey, now 19, and Billy, 16, Kate, as OK! reports, revealed she didn’t like the thought of spending “the rest of her life without love”.

She added, “Our home life was just pottering around, and we had 21 years of that, so mentally I am still in that zone,” and added that she couldn’t see herself with anyone else. Our source adds that Kate’s friends are actively encouraging her to explore the possibility of dating someone new despite her reservations.

Our source claims that “someone is interested and her friends are encouraging her to just explore that and see how it makes her feel.” Kate isn’t currently ready for anything more than friendship, though. No one is trying to make things happen by force since it is still too soon.

She might want to take things slowly and even consider herself a single woman once more. who excels in return and has a lot to offer. She’s said to be starting to have a few dinners and moving slowly.

Recently, there has been rife rumors about Kate’s romantic life, with various rumors that “her new man” has been discovered. People weighing in on when the right time is right to move on after a partner’s death have inevitably attracted a flurry of comments from the posts, many of which appear to include images of either Kate’s coworkers or married friends.

On a Facebook post linking the former I’m A Celeb star to a “close friend of her late husband”, a person commented that she’d “got over Derek quick enough”, but was quickly shut down by more of the well-intentioned followers. Further supportive comments included one from a fellow widower: “To find love again is wonderful. Unless you have experienced a terrible sadness, you will never know the emptiness and loneliness you feel.”

“Good luck, Kate,” another phrase. You are entitled to it. Now it’s your turn to keep the head up, Derek, because you gave a lot to him. According to our source, Kate is afraid of being judged or upsetting those around her, which is one of the reasons she isn’t jumping head first into a new relationship.

She is a woman who is constantly questioning and worrying about what other people might think if she had another man in her life. They assert that she would never want to hurt or upset anyone, especially her children.

“In reality, all of her friends, including her children, want her to be happy,” she says. She is deserving of it, they say. She endured hell without even realizing it. It takes a long time to go through something so challenging. But she never forgets Derek or tells a funny story about him again. He’ll be a part of her heart forever.

Kate also revealed that she was still mentally stable and in the “zone” of the shared life, but that she was aware that she would eventually have to consider the future.

According to psychotherapist Kamalyn Kaur, Kate’s conflicted feelings are very normal. “What Kate described, about still being mentally in the world she built with Derek, is a very natural stage of grieving and adjusting to a new identity,” she tells . “There’s no rush for her, and honouring that ‘not yet’ feeling is actually a sign of self-awareness and emotional integrity.”

Kate might be ready to take those next romantic steps, Kamalyn adds, when her curiosity about “connection and companionship” starts to outweigh fears and resistance, and she can picture the potential to create something new without feeling” like a betrayal of what she shared with Derek.

She explains that the ideal moment is more about when the heart feels inspired to make new connections. Instead of pushing herself to date when she’s not yet ready, she’s definitely doing the right thing by going with what feels right.

Sam Thompson addresses Strictly plans and warns he ‘doesn’t really have talent’

Sam Thompson has revealed whether he would follow Pete Wicks on the Strictly dancefloor and which dance he would want to do if he signed up for the BBC One program.

Sam Thompson has revealed whether or not he’d do hit show Strictly Come Dancing and which “dicey” dance he’d want to try out. The former Made in Chelsea star is best mates with Pete Wicks, who got to the semi-final last year.

When asked if he’d ever do Strictly, Sam told the Mirror: “I don’t know. I’ve never been a talent guy. I don’t really have a talent. That was the reason I’m A Celebrity was so good for me, I didn’t have to do anything. I just had to go and make friends.”

He emphasized that it would be “funny” if he attempted to perform Strictly but that he fears his nerves would interfere with his performance. I don’t know how good I would be because I’m very anxious and overthink everything. But it would be amusing in itself.

Sam and Pete co-host a podcast called Staying Relevant, and he claims that doing Strictly would be a “luxury” if he so desired. If he said, “If I thought the time was right.” “Then yes”.

When asked what kind of dance he wanted to do, he initially said, “Where I’d be skipping and tapping my toes,” before revising and choosing something more “romantic” and “dicey.”

What’s the truly romantic one, exactly? The Viennese Waltz and The Waltz! That’s where everyone interacts with one another in a very conflictsome way. I’d love to do something similar because it gets very close.

Sam continued to claim that he believes he would be the first one out, but he does practice some dance moves. “Pete taught me to dance in any case.” Without even knowing what Strictly was, Pete entered the show as a complete novice. “Pete is amazing, he is actually amazing at dancing now.”

Though Sam isn’t competing this year, Pete is still heading to live shows to support a pal, as his friend Vicky Pattison is taking part. The Geordie Shore star has been partnered with Kai Widdrington. In the first week, they danced a Cha Cha Cha to Ella Eyre’s Best of My Love and followed that this week with a Foxtrot to Rein Me In by Sam Fender and Olivia Dean.

Vicky attended the Staying Relevant live performance at the O2 in September. She praised Pete on Instagram and called his accomplishments “incredible.”

Sam claimed in a statement to the Mirror that Pete is his “one constant” throughout “massive highs and lows” and that recording a podcast with his best friend was a blessing.

Huge 90s pop star unrecognisable three decades later after drink and drugs hell

In the 1990s, D: Ream were huge with their hit songs, including the no. 1 hit Things Can Only Get Better, and lead singer Peter Cunnah has a strikingly different look now.

Three decades after their chart-topping hit, D: Ream’s dance group’s front man Peter Cunnah is now almost unrecognizable. The band, which also had Al Mackenzie on the lead, won several top 40 awards, including Shoot Me with Your Love and U R the Best Thing. However, Things Can Only Get Better, their 1994 song, held the top spot.

Fast forward to the present day, and Peter has traded his youthful appearance for a head of grey hair and a decidedly more mature vibe. He frequently posts snaps on D:Ream’s official Instagram page of him and Al chilling before gigs and special events. Despite the years rolling by, Peter and Al are still hitting the stage. D:Ream’s original line-up fluctuated but always showcased Peter as the frontman. Their live band boasted keyboard player Brian Cox, who later transitioned into television presenting and is now Professor Brian Cox.

In one recent snap, he can be seen posing with Harry Enfield and Kathy Burke, aka Kevin and Perry, as they celebrated their 25th anniversary at a festival. The image was captioned: “Kevin and Perry official celebrating their 25th Anniversary at the Hardwick festival … Havin it LARGE!!!! … raving and misbehaving with our fellow superstar…… lead singer Peter Cunnah from D:Ream. Sing it!! Things Can Only Get Better. Now I found you!!! All you wanna do is Do it. Euphoria!!!”

Fans wrote, “Wow blast fro,” in response to the post. the present ! I remember when I first saw Keven &amp, Perry, I was like, “Wrf haha.” Haha, that was good. Another is “Still Fellow DJs,” which.

In a second image, Peter is dressed to the brim with his band and is posing for a picture with the caption “Pre gig, Saturday night”

In 1994, D:Ream were in the running for Best Dance Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards and for Best Single at the 1995 BRIT Awards. Their biggest hit experienced a resurgence when Tony Blair adopted it for his New Labour campaign following 18 years of Conservative governance.

Peter wrote to the Belfast Telegraph about the hit, saying, “I’ve got a love-hate relationship with that song right now. It’s undoubtedly my meal ticket, but Tony Blair is essentially a walking war criminal, as you may well know. People have complained about my work being tarnished and that I’m somehow complicit, which I find very, very offensive.

He also described a bizarre incident where he believed he was Robbie Williams while enjoying his drink and drugs addiction.

The Irish Sun reported that Peter said: “Eventually, you can get to a stage in your usage where the drugs are not working, you’re taking more to try and feel normal. And that’s bizarre. That was around the 1996 period, when I just couldn’t tell you which way was up. So from the second half of ‘96, I was a full-blown addict. And I came out of that by just getting clean and going into rehab. But I was watching things going on around me. I was turning on the TV and I’m seeing Robbie (who toured with D:Ream while with Take That) with my haircut, my mic technique and the frock coat singing Let Me Entertain You. And for a moment there, I thought it was me.”

In 2008, Peter and Al unexpectedly reconnected, and the two of them reconnected. In Memory Of, an album they released in 2011, followed by a single in 2009 and an album in the same year.

The band continued producing music a decade later, releasing a studio album called Open Hearts Open Minds for fans.

Unfortunately, none of their most recent songs charted. The only song to make the top 100 was Things Can Only Get Better, which was released in 2014.

Peter scored a few hits when he penned songs for pop groups Steps and A1. He even contributed his vocals to Chicane’s top 40 track Love on The Run.

Coronation Street star Lisa George terrified as she’s hospitalised after losing eyesight

After playing Beth Tinker on Weatherfield for more than ten years, Coronation Street actress Lisa George discusses her terrifying health battle and transitioning into life.

Lisa George was adored for her shady dealings and protective parenting of her son Craig for 13 years as Coronation Street’s iconic and outspoken Beth Sutherland (née Tinker). After her final (tearful) farewell to the cobbles, she’s determined to demonstrate there is indeed life after soap when we catch up with her a year later.

Grimsby-born Lisa has also undergone a major health transformation over the last year, with the help of a surgical tweak, and is finally loving who she sees in the mirror. As well as getting stuck into two history diplomas, Lisa – who competed on Dancing On Ice in 2020 – has also been managing a medical condition which has left her partially blind in one eye and without peripheral vision in her other.

After years of searching for answers after first experiencing sight loss in 2016, she was diagnosed with NAION (non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy), which returned in 2022. She details how she’s coping and why she’s determined to keep it that way in our exclusive conversation…

How has life been since Coronation Street, Lisa?

busy ! I’ve been engaging in a variety of activities. I recently received an award at the National Diversity Awards, and I’ve met some incredible people. Additionally, I’ve joined the acting lingcs in Lincolnshire, which helps connect residents of the area with the sector. You can do it because we live in Lincolnshire, but that doesn’t mean you can’t.

Nowadays, it must be nice to have the opportunity to say “Yes” to things…

There are many things I want to do, and it is. I’d like to write a period drama, too. I used to talk about the Second World War with my grandad a lot, and I’ve always been fascinated by it. Something based on the 1950s and 1960s would be amazing, too, since I also adore those days. I’m primarily fascinated by historical topics. I earned two diplomas during lockdown, one on Henry VIII’s six wives, and the other on Tudor history. Oh, and there’s a second one about Native American studies!

After watching a soap for so long, is it difficult to get moving?

I suppose many people recognize me as Beth, but I’m not a one-trick pony. Before Beth, I spent a lot of time watching TV, and I’d like to continue doing so. I want to resume singing and perhaps re-enter the recording room. When Corrie began, I stopped singing, but I had previously been teaching and performing in a large band.

You’ve also been promoting your vision issues. What’s going on now?

My eyes seem to be settling right now, in my opinion. I can see writing perfectly fine, but I can’t see the distances. I need glasses for reading because all the writing and numbers are so blurred, and because I can see the SatNav, I also have varifocals for driving. I have blind spots, so I don’t like doing night driving at night, but I believe that’s also a matter of age! I’d ask to be on the inside of the pavement if Corrie scenes were being shot in the dark because I couldn’t see the kerb’s edge.

You just recently appeared in a charity campaign for Vista magazine. More information please…

I was so pleased to be asked. It was wonderful to participate in National Eye Health Week because it is National Eye Health Week. I’m excited about recording a section of literature for an audiobook for the Royal National Institute of Blind People, as well as being a part of their 90th anniversary celebrations.

Recently, you recently experienced another sight loss episode…

Yes, I went out for dinner in 2022 to celebrate Katie McGlynn’s birthday in a dark room. The menu was completely blurry when I looked at it.

That must have been incredibly terrifying…

It was . I recall remarking, “Something is really wrong. I called the opthamologist the following day, was taken to A&amp, E, and spent a week recovering in the hospital. They said I must have had diabetes because I hadn’t been fully diagnosed with it yet.

What do you think of the label “visually impaired”?

To be honest, I don’t mention it that often. When I was on Coronation Street, the only reason many people knew was because my script was in font size 16 so they could probably see it from the other side of the set! I’m classed as “visually impaired” now on my Spotlight CV, and that did make me wonder if people maybe wouldn’t want to cast me. But there is better access now for people with all sorts of disabilities so I don’t let it worry me.

When it comes to your future employment, do you worry?

You know, I really don’t want my eyes to deteriorate any more. When it first happened, one of my fears was, “How am I going to work in a theatre if the stage is dark?” But I did panto last year and the crew and cast were amazing and made things easy for me.

How exactly?

I was forced to leave the stage at one point because there was smoke all over the entire show, so two dancers helped me get off. Although it was insignificant, it allowed it. They were fantastic and extremely helpful.

Could more work be done to improve the inclusion of the entertainment sector?

Absolutely not. I want to highlight one aspect of acting that will appeal to viewers. When you are asked to create a self-tape, you are typically sent documents in PDF with a small font size, which prevents me from copying and pasting the letters and making them larger. Many people would be greatly affected by things like that if they were taken into account.

You appear to be incredible right now, which is a significant change from Beth of Weatherfield!

Thank you. I’m feeling fantastic right now. When I was on Coronation Street, I had stomach issues that lasted for ten or more years. My stomach would become extremely swollen, and I would appear pregnant. After visiting The IBS &amp, Gut Health Clinic in Wilmslow, I was put on a low-FODMAP diet, and the weight just disappeared. I’ve had only two meals a day for the past two years, so I’ve been very strict with my diet.

Do you also exercise?

I did really well last year, and I started training and running three times per week. Not so much now! However, I’ll soon resume it.

You had an eyelift in January of that year as well.

I did it. When I had my photo taken, I only looked at my saggy eyes. I was really getting older and it bothered me. I’ve been discussing it for a while, but I’m now so pleased with the outcomes.
