One fan wrote on X to be shocked to learn Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa had passed away. The most recognizable video game villain, Hang Tsung, was created by Tagawa with such flawlessness. My heart will forever be filled with his voice. Thank you, Mr. Tagawa, and rest easy.
Another wrote: “Cary Hiroyuki Tagawa had been in a lot of shows and movies, but no one kould ever match the energy he brought as Shang Tsung in the first ever #MortalKombatMovie in ’95. May he now rest in peace. May your legacy shall live on for eternity, Mr. Tagawa.”
Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, RIP, wrote a third person. You are a legend in Shang Tsung, and I will never forget that. When I was a young child, many children had a big impact on their lives, and you performed beautifully to all of us.
