Adam Peaty’s furious aunt has hit out at the Olympic swimmer and his influencer wife-to-be Holly Ramsay after he reportedly banned his mum from attending his lavish wedding
A heartbreaking new twist in the Adam Peaty family fallout has emerged, as the Olympian’s aunt has revealed the exact moment his mum Caroline was allegedly banned from his upcoming wedding to Holly Ramsay.
The sportsman’s mum was mysteriously left out from influencer Holly’s glamorous hen do. Instead, it’s said that she was left at home on grandma duties, looking after five-year-old grandson George, Adam’s son from a previous relationship. Her absence was made all the more glaring given Adam had made sure to include his famous future father-in-law Gordon Ramsay in his own stag do celebrations.
The lavish hen do wasn’t the only point of contention, according to a source close to Adam’s mum. They claim that when excited Caroline bought a dress for the upcoming wedding, Adam and Holly didn’t approve and offered to buy her another.
Sadly, the alleged tensions didn’t stop there, as Adam’s aunt Louise Williams has now claimed that her sister learned she’d been uninvited to the star-studded Bath Abbey wedding while busily returning little George back to the care of his mother, Eirianedd Munro. And the devoted grandmother apparently had to mask the deep “hurt and betrayal” she felt in front of her young grandchild.

And now the bitter row has taken another turn as Adam’s brother James has been arrested over allegations he sent threats to the sportsman during his stag weekend. While in Budapest on his stag do with his future father-in-law, Adam was said to have become alarmed after receiving text messages, with Holly alerting the police. His older brother, James, 34, was arrested at his home in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, on Monday and has since been bailed.
Meanwhile, Adam’s dad has now spoken out for the first time, saying things have gotten out of hand between the family. Mark told The Sun: “They’re brothers, they’ve always been close, but like any normal family, brothers fight, argue, fall out, make up and start all over again. But it’s got out of hand, there’s been very little empathy towards Jamie’s genuine mental health difficulties.”
A source told the same newspaper that Adam believes his mother, Caroline, has been enabling Jamie’s alleged behaviour. They went on to state it was “ridiculous” that Adam was greeted by police, as Jamie had no intentions of harming his brother.
In an Instagram post this week, devastated Caroline posted the following quote: “Crying is a way your eyes speak when your mouth can’t explain how broken your heart is.”
Showing support for her sister, protective Louise took to the comment section, sharing that Caroline apparently wasn’t invited to Holly’s hen night, and wasn’t given an explanation as to why exactly she was slighted. She wrote: “The only good thing she [Caroline] got out of such a blow was the time she spent with her grandson.
“What was so incredibly cruel was that it was whilst she was returning him to the care of his mother that she was contacted by Adam and told she was no longer welcome at the wedding. She had to keep the pain, hurt and betrayal in because no way was she letting her grandson see how upset she was. Talk about sticking the knife in and twisting it,” the furious aunt claimed.
In another comment, Louise accused Adam of describing Caroline as a “crap mother”, despite the many “sacrifices” she’s had to make to support her son and his professional swimming career. The dedicated mum would make sure to get up early to take Adam to practice, and the ordinary, working-class family even went into debt to ensure he could achieve his dreams.
Louise shared: “My heart breaks for Caroline. She loves her children so much, and this has broken her. She does not deserve this at all. I could not stand by and let Adam and Holly do that to my sister.” Caroline now appears to have disabled the comments on the post.
This isn’t the first time Louise has rushed to social media to defend her sister on this matter. After Caroline didn’t make Holly’s hen-do, Louise spoke of how she’d been left “heartbroken” over what she deemed “divisive and hurtful” actions on Holly’s part. Louise also alleged that Adam had said “the most vile things a son can say to his mother”.
Elsewhere, Adam’s aunt claimed that Holly and Adam banned Caroline from the wedding because she did not apologise for failing to attend a recent family trip to Bath due to cancelled trains. The Olympic swimmer has also allegedly barred his mum from seeing her grandson, George.
It’s believed that Adam’s sister Bethany will now be the only family member from his side to watch him tie the knot, as many of those invited were reportedly unable to afford the price of accommodation and travel.
One relative revealed: “We were sent a ‘save the date,’ and it’s all these country houses. I’m on Universal Credit — I can’t afford that.” Relatives have also since claimed that Adam is “ashamed” of his roots, and “has been changed by money, fame and fortune”. According to one family source: “He seems to have forgotten where he came from.”
