Aspiring chef Brooklyn Beckham faced harsh criticism online after he posted a video of himself making the well known Italian dish carbonara on his social media pages
Brooklyn Beckham became the subject of ridicule after he posted a video of himself cooking a spaghetti carbonara. The aspiring chef, 26, who is married to Nicola Peltz, faced harsh criticism by fans who claimed that he had burnt the guanciale, which is similar to that of bacon and a integral part of the Italian dish.
Wearing a beige coloured baseball cap teamed with a white t-shirt, Brooklyn, who is now estranged from his parents and siblings, gave his viewers a step by step guide on how to make the staple dish.
He captioned his post saying: “Spaghetti carbonara xx.” But, his attempt at making the dish didn’t go down well with those on social media, who couldn’t help but post comments about Brooklyn’s cooking skills. It comes after Brooklyn’s Dad David Beckham ditches his iconic tiny trunks on yacht trip with Gordon Ramsay’s family.

One viewer commented: “As an Italian.. no. That cheek is burnt”. And another person said: “‘ It seems a bit overcooked this guanciale..”. Meanwhile a third person added: “you already know you burnt the bacon”.
However, Brooklyn had a comeback to the critics as he posted a comment, which read: “guanciale has a lot of sugar in that’s why it’s darker I slow cooked it so it’s not burned”.
The Beckham star’s latest social media gaffe comes after Brooklyn renewed his vows with his wife Nicola, three years after tying the knot. Brooklyn displayed unity with his wife after renewing their wedding vows last weekend.
And a source told the Daily Mail: “This is a moment to celebrate their love and commitment, and to create a meaningful memory together”.
Back in June, Brooklyn shared a memory of the day he proposed to Nicola in 2019. Reflecting on the day he proposed, he posted a message to Nicola saying: “It’s been 5 years since I asked this beautiful woman to marry me xx best decision ever x I love you so much”.
Although the couple is both avid social media users, neither Victoria nor David publicly wished the couple a happy anniversary in April, which is unusual given the couple’s third wedding anniversary.
And this was followed by both of Brooklyn’s brothers, Romeo and Cruz. Sharing a throwback picture of the pair on their wedding day to honour their anniversary, Brooklyn caption the picture saying: “Happy 3 year anniversary baby x I love you with all my heart x I’m so lucky I get to spend everyday with you and wake up to your beautiful face everyday you are my world x I love you so much Nicola xxxxxxx.”
Brooklyn’s attendance to his dad’s 50th birthday parties in May later revealed a new twist to the family feud.
Brooklyn even further emphasized the separation by posting a birthday message to Nelson Peltz, his father-in-law. He wrote, “Happy birthday Nelson x We love you,” at the time.
