Britons Oliver Tarvet, Oliver Tarvet, and Hamish Stewart are all in a position to make the Wimbledon main draw their first appearance.

In Thursday’s third and final qualifying round, Slovenia’s Veronika Erjavec will face world number 403 Appleton, who won 6-2, 6-8, 7-6, and tied the match at 10-0.

To prepare for a meeting with Belgium’s Alexander Blockx, the 21-year-old Tarvet defeated Canada’s Alexis Galarneau 6-3, 6-2.

After defeating Luca van Assche in France 7-6 (7-3) 44-6 7-6 (1-11-9), Stewart, 25, will face Swiss player Leandro Riedi.

However, Roehampton on Wednesday saw the end of Amarni Banks, Paul Jubb, Oliver Bonding, and Ryan Peniston’s Wimbledon hopes.

Martin Landaluce of Spain defeated Peniston 3-6, 6-4, 6-4, while Giulio Zeppieri defeated Jubb, 6-3, 6-2, and Juan Pablo Ficovich, an Argentine, defeated Bonding 7-5, 6-4.

Banks defeated Poland’s Katarzyna Kawa 6-2, 6-4 in the women’s draw.

Cornet comes close with a slam return.

Alize Cornet also won on Wednesday, moving on to a Wimbledon return.

Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva, 35, defeated the Frenchwoman with a score of 3-6 6-3 6-3 after retiring earlier this year.

After the French Open last year, Cornet called it quits on her career after posting a record-breaking 69 consecutive slams between 2007 and 2024.

She now faces compatriot Elsa Jacquemot for a spot in the main draw, having previously knocked out top seed Serena Williams in the same year.

After defeating fellow countryman and long-time friend Bianca Andreescu, Canada’s Carson Branstine defeated France’s breakout Roland Garros star Lois Boisson.

In the final qualifying round, Branstine will face Cyprus’ Raluca Serban, who was the former US Open champion, 7-6 (7-3) 4-6 6-1.
