Ben Whittaker, a silver medalist at the British Olympics, has long-term agreements with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing.
Before turning professional in 2022, the 28-year-old won light-heavyweight silver at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
In his professional career, he has won six games while remaining unbeaten at 9-1-1.
“I believe there is a reason why things happen.” I’m now choosing the best platform and starting the right fights in my career. This action just seemed appropriate, according to Whittaker.
Hearn characterized Whittaker as a “generational talent” with “the world at his feet.”
“Ben will become a household name, become a household name, and win more world titles thanks to this long-term agreement,” he said. Hearn remarked, “He will be number one.”
In their light-heavyweight rematch in April, Whittaker stopped Liam Cameron in the second round.
