Mudashiru Obasa, the newly reinstated Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, presided over the assembly’s plenary on Monday shortly after Ms. As speaker, Moojisola Meranda resigns.
After a brief plenary, Obasa also adjourned (indefinitely) the plenary’s “sine die.”
Obasa stated in his speech that he thanks Meranda for her support and devotion as Deputy Speaker. Additionally, I extend my gratitude to all the lawmakers who fought for their integrity.
Not today is the day to make speeches. I want to thank my coworkers for their hard work and celebrate them today.
Bisi Akande, Olusegun Osoba, GAC members, and the governor, I want to thank them. Obafemi Hamzat, Obafemi Sanwo-Olu, and other party leaders thank them for their support.
