BPP, NBA Chairs To Headline Real Estate Policy Dialogue

At a policy dialogue on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, experts will lead the discussion between the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Chairman Ola Olukoyede and the Director General of the Bureau of Public Procurement, Adebowale Adedokun, president of the Nigerian Bar Association, Afam Osigwe, and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Chairman, Adebowale Adebowe.

Beginning at 10am on Wednesday, the law firm Law Corridor will host the event at the Abuja Continental Hotel in the nation’s capital.

The firm stated in a statement that the dialogue would be held as part of policy discussions and would bring together stakeholders from both the public and private sectors to combat deceptive practices in the real estate sector.

The statement read, “Key issues to be discussed include illegal property sales, activities of unlicensed agents, fake developers, compliance issues, anti-money laundering measures, and legal redress mechanisms.”

Victor Olaiya, Managing Partner of Omaplex Law Firm, Oyetola Muyiwa Atoyebi (SAN), Managing Partner of Afe Babalola & Co., Kehinde Ogunwumiju (SAN), Director of the Special Control Unit Against Money Laundering, Harry Erin, and Professor of Energy and Natural Resources Law, Olanrewaju Aladeitan, University of Abuja, Aladeitan.
