Boy Meets World legend Ben Savage has revealed that he and his wife Tessa have welcomed their first child together, taking to social media to share adorable snaps of their little one
A former Boy Meets World star has welcomed their first child at the age of 45. Ben Savage, who starred on the show as Cory Matthews and the Disney sequel, Girl Meets World, took to social media to reveal the adorable snaps of his newborn daughter.
Ben and his wife, Tessa Arngermeier, whom he married in March 2023, welcomed their little one earlier this week. The actor announced their happy news on Instagram while celebrating Thanksgiving on Thursday.
“Welcome little one,” he captioned his upload. One image showed Ben holding his newborn’s hand as they lay in their hospital crib. While another image showed new mum Tessa holding their little baby in the hospital as the newborn rested perfectly.

But as he adapted to life as a dad, Ben was also seen in the hospital corridor pushing his little one down the hallway in its crib. His post, which has been liked over 77,000 times, was soon flooded with comments. His Boy Meets World co-star, Matthew Lawrence, gushed: “Wow, bro!! A very happy Thanksgiving.”
Maitland Ward, who starred as Rachel McGuire on the sitcom, penned: “Congratulations to you both.” “Girl meets world (for real),” gushed one fan. While another typed: “Mazel tov!” “Awe congratulations!!! Boy meets baby, much love to you and your sweet family,” said another.
Before Ben and Tessa tied the knot two years ago on February 18, 2023, the couple had been together for over four years. They made their social media debut together on Ben’s Instagram in August 2018. While Ben often works in front of the screen, Indiana native Tessa works as a senior graphic designer.
Although Ben works in entertainment, Tessa works for Ben Soleimani, a luxury furniture shop in West Hollywood. But she does have entertainment industry links. She works as the graphic designer, merchandise manager and also as the tour manager for the alternative band, The Growlers.
Speaking previously, Ben revealed in 2021 that he has one rule in life – following his heart. He told People: “That’s easier said than done. It’s not an easy thing to do, and obviously it requires sacrifice – but I think, in the end, that’s what makes people happy.”
Tessa was also vocally supportive of her husband when he ran for West Hollywood City Council three years ago, often wearing T-shirts with “Savage for West Hollywood” written on them. However, Savage lost his bid and came out in seventh place.
Nowadays, though, he has stepped away from his acting career in order to focus on philanthropy and politics. It also emerged in 2023 that he is no longer in contact with some of his former co-stars. “He kind of just disappeared from our lives,” Danielle Fishel revealed.
It also emerged that he wanted to no part in the Boy Meets World rewatch podcast. “He was also very clear, ‘I don’t want it to stop you, if you guys want to do it, go ahead,'” he told Fishel.
