Olabode George, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party’s board of trustees, has supported the recognition of Sunday Ude-Okoye as its national secretary.
Both men claim responsibility for the position of PDP National Secretary, which is the subject of a tussle between Ude-Okoye and Samuel Anyanwu.
They demanded that the party’s national working committee appoint Ude-Okoye immediately as its substantive national secretary after the BoT meeting on Wednesday.

The Court of Appeal’s decision to support Ude-Okoye was based on his position as the legitimate National Secretary of the PDP, according to George, who was a guest on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Friday.
“So far, the facts that they brought, I am completely on board with that. What are the elders expected to do, in your opinion? Apart from the one from Okoye, the report made it clear that there was no other countercourt of appeal.
” So, what do you expect us to do? We will abide by Anyanwu’s decision if the Supreme Court rejects the Court of Appeal’s decision, according to George.
However, Anyanwu was asked to let go and allow peace to reign so the opposition could concentrate on playing its part as opposition.
George claimed that despite the PDP’s current crisis, the party is still more organized than the All-Party Congress (APC), which is currently in power.
He claimed that because he is aware that the party’s core is still intact, he is not concerned about the PDP completely crumbling.
The Iroko tree’s taproot is still deeply rooted, but only the wind, which is blowing at the top, is what causes the tree to be deeply rooted. We’ll work it out. I believe in the resolution, “he said.
George appealed to all sides to calm down, insisting that PDP is not a private enterprise of any kind.
