Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s texts, which reveal their playful exchanges at 2am, have been made public amid their public outcry.
The actors, who co-starred in the summer film It Ends With Us, have been at odds with Blake ever since filing a lawsuit for Justin’s actions. She alleges that a specific PR campaign was launched to tarnish her reputation following her accusation of sexual harassment from her co-star.
Justin has since countersued Blake and her actor husband Ryan Reynolds for $400 million, alleging an attempt to “destroy” his good name and career. As they battle publicly, messages exchanged between the two stars have since emerged. Justin’s lawyers have laid out a timeline from January 2019 to January 2024, including 168 pages of emails, text messages and WhatsApps, mostly between him and Blake.
In one message exchange on May 11, 2023, at 2.46am, when production had started, Blake said: “It’s such a good feeling to get work done that we’re proud of. And to do it together”. She added: “It just clicks when we find it. And filming it is just as rewarding. I’m really proud of what we’re doing”. Blake added a red love-heart emoji to her message.
In response, Justin said: “I like sentimental Blake”. She playfully texted back: “Never met her”. He said: “I also like a**hole Blake, OK goodnight”. To which she responded: “I’ve met her. So have my suppositories. Good night”!, followed by a laughing emoji. A month earlier, Blake sent Justin a text ahead of shooting the film.
She said: “You’re absolutely the best. And what you did made me think. I love what we’re gonna do”. Blake later added: “If you knew me]in person] longer you’d have a sense of how flirty and yummy and ball busting]the sex scenes] would play. It’s my love language. Spicy and playfully bold, never with teeth”.
During a allegedly raunchy scene in the movie, Blake is said to have repeatedly called herself a “ballbuster,” according to reports. Other texts include an alleged message on Valentine’s Day in 2023 as Blake is said to have promised Justin he is “safe” with her. The message reads: “You’re safe here” and he replied with a heart emoji after it’s alleged he had suggested he should apologise for an “excited” comment.
Another alleged conversation days later dissuaded Justin from making accusations that Blake, who had just had son Olin and was concerned about her physique for the intimate scenes, wouldn’t look “amazing.” She asked: “What’s the chance we can do body scenes at the end of the schedule”?
Justin assured her that he wouldn’t be able to alter the schedule, but he assured her that she would look fantastic. Anything you’re afraid of, we’ll discuss it, brainstorm together, and make you feel at ease. Simply put, I don’t want you to be stressed out about your health. It’s the last thing you need”.
Justin informed Lively that he had hired an intimacy coordinator in April 2023 and that they could meet “next week.” He said that he loved her and would ‘ set you up ‘ for an introduction. Blake replied: “I feel good. I can meet her when we start. Thank you though”.
