After Emma Willis revealed on social media that she had had heart surgery, Davina McCall offered her support to Emma Willis, a former Big Brother host.

Davina McCall, Emma Willis’ co-host of Big Brother, eluded the revelation that the TV legend had heart surgery. Emma, 49, revealed on social media that she had spent her entire life living with a defect on her heart.

The Birmingham-born presenter who took over from Davina when the show moved from Channel 4 to Channel 5 thanked staff at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London for their support after her diagnosis. Emma shared a string of snaps with her two million followers on Meta’s Instagram platform.

Different celebrities rushed to show their love and support to Emma, including Davina, who also underwent surgery to remove a benign brain tumour. The 57-year-old wrote: “Oh Wow!!! ” under the post, which has received over 127, 000 likes. @emmawillisofficial What a shocker ! Thinking of you all and extending a heartfelt condolence, along with four red heart emojis.

Meanwhile, another showed her resting her head on husband Matt Willis’ shoulders and another was taken as she laid in her hospital bed while wired up to an ECG and blood pressure monitor.

Emma shared the news, saying, “I had keyhole heart surgery a few weeks ago, which makes it even stranger to write about.” They were absolutely incredible from their last year of investigations to their diagnosis and then surgery. As did @mattjwillis, who never left me.

The NHS adds that some problems are noticeable at birth while some others may not develop until later in life.

While more serious defects may not need surgery or interventional procedures if they are causing a problem, mild defects typically don’t need treatment and can improve on their own.
