The 2025 edition of the BBC Radio 2 In The Park festival is to be held in Chelmsford. The event, which last year saw performances from the likes of Sting, Pet Shop Boys and Snow Patrol in Preston’s Moor Park, will take place in the Essex city’s Hylands Park from Friday, September 5, to Sunday, September 7.

Presenter Rylan Clark announced the location of Radio 2 and said, “I can’t wait to have this year’s Radio 2 In The Park right on my doorstep.

Chelmsford town crier Tony Appleton then welcomed the festival to Essex, with the lineup set to be announced live on Tuesday on the Scott Mills Breakfast Show, with tickets going on sale starting on Wednesday.

The radio 2 in the park is our biggest event of the year, according to Heidi Thomas, the head of the company.

“We’ve been busy booking some of the world’s most loved artists to perform to thousands of revellers in Hylands Park, as well as to millions of listeners and viewers at home or on the move. We can’t wait to bring our family of Radio 2 presenters to Essex.”
