Sabrina Carpenter fans crack Espresso ‘hidden meaning’ before Man’s Best Friend launch

Fans of a particular video game franchise are left persuaded that Samantha Carpenter has a hidden message in her hit song Espresso that only fans will be able to understand.

Fans of Sabrina Carpenter are all speculating about a new theory that the singer’s smash hit Espresso contains a legendary video game that only the most experienced gamers could discover. The 2024 anthem, which earned her two Grammys for Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Remixed Recording, has received rave reviews for Sabrina. It helped her debut at the top of the Billboard Global 200 chart and earned her two Grammys.

TikTok users are now questioning whether the award-winning song contains an Easter egg. A well-known gaming YouTuber named Austin John, a woman by the name of Nicolette, makes the suggestion that there is a line from The Legend of Zelda subtly woven into Espresso’s opening.

The video titled “Sabrina Carpenter is a Zelda fan” makes a stirring revelation, right? features Austin combining the iconic melody from Zelda’s Lullaby from the timeless series Ocarina of Time, which was first released for Nintendo’s N64 in 1998.

He said, “Zelda’s Lullaby is in Sabrina Carpenter’s Espresso,” by syncing the two melodies.

He made a joker-like comment that “Sabrina Carpenter undoubtedly played Breath of the Wild.”

After noticing striking similarities between two songs, fans were left scratching their heads. Fans saw Sabrina Carpenter’s potential as a front-runner for the anticipated live-action film adaptation of the gaming series after learning that her love for the classic video game Legend of Zelda had sparked theories.

Many people speculated as to why Sabrina might land the role of Princess Zelda in the upcoming 2027 film adaptation due to her adoration for the game.

One user emailed me with casting suggestions: “Then make Sabrina Carpenter play Princess Zelda.” Who says “no” when she has acting prowess?

Another remarked, “I knew there was a reason I loved the song!” ‘Subliminal’ [messaging]

How do people seem to be noticing this when they’re not using it? After listening to Espresso for the first time, I recognized it.

Some fans, however, weren’t as enthusiastic as they did, making the claim that it might be a little ambitious to base the Lullaby game from Zelda’s debut in Espresso on a few similarly themed opening notes.

However, this is not Sabrina’s first appearance in the gaming industry. Switch it up like Nintendo, a clever lyric from Espresso’s chorus, makes an obvious nod to the well-known Nintendo Switch console.

Anna Wintour announces she’s quit iconic Vogue role after 37 years

Dame Anna Wintour has reportedly announced that she’s quitting her iconic role as editor-in-chief at American Vogue. She’s held the position at the fashion magazine for over 30 years after having previously led British Vogue.

Anna, 75, is said to have shared the news with colleagues earlier this week. It’s now been reported that the media executive will continue overseeing Vogue – which currently operates in numerous locations – globally but that a new head of editorial content will be introduced in the US.

She has held the position of editor-in-chief of Vogue for almost 40 years now, having taken over the role from the late Grace Mirabella in 1988. Anna had previously held the same position at British Vogue between 1985 and 1987.

It isn’t the only role that she’s held in parent company Condé Nast in recent years though. The fashion editor was named U. S. Artistic Director of the media company in 2013 and was appointed its global content advisor in 2019.

WWD reports that Anna told staff today that she will be seeking a new head of editorial content at American Vogue. The outlet adds that, following a restructuring four years ago, Condé Nast now has a head of editorial content, led by a global editorial director, in every market where it operates.

It’s reported that Anna will remain chief content officer for Condé Nast, which is responsible for other media brands like Glamour, GQ and Vanity Fair, though. Anna is also said to be continuing on as Vogue’s global editorial director.

She joined Vogue in the 1980s and been promoted to editorship positions in the years since. Anna, whose signature appearance includes dark glasses and her bob hairstyle, is also known for her involvement with the Met Gala.

Anna is said to have taken over as chair of the Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York in 1995. She’s credited with having transformed the gala into a “cultural, media, and philanthropic phenomenon”.

The Met Gala attracts some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry each year, with much interest in their fashion choices for the fundraising gala. Condé Nast has previously said that Anna has been “actively involved in philanthropic fundraising” during her tenure and raised more than $400 million – around £290 million – for the museum.

Anna has received numerous honors over the course of her career thanks to her work in the fashion industry. For her contributions to journalism and fashion, she was honored as a dame in 2017 by the late Queen Elizabeth II.

In February, King Charles appointed her to the Order of the Companions of Honour for her work in the field of fashion. It is described as a “special award given to those who have made a significant contribution to the arts, science, medicine, or government over a long period of time.”

Anna asked how long she planned to remain in “her role” in an interview with BBC News that was released in December of last year, and she announced her resignation as editor-in-chief of Vogue. She later stated, “I have no plans to leave my job.” Then, she said, “Currently.”

I am very pleased with how balanced it is to hold – nowhere near as heavy as my previous dryer. It dries quickly and smoothly, using the nozzle (this does occasionally fall off during use, so don’t try picking it up immediately, it is extremely hot!). Uefa to decide Palace’s Europa League fate on Friday

Images courtesy of Getty

On Friday, Uefa executives will meet to decide whether Crystal Palace will be allowed to compete in the Europa League for the first time.

The Eagles won the FA Cup for the first time in their history, but Uefa must decide whether they broke the club’s multi-club ownership laws.

By Friday evening, the hearing’s outcome is anticipated to be announced.

Woody Johnson, the owner of the New York Jets’ 43% stake in Crystal Palace, announced on Monday that the deal, thought to be worth close to £190 million, has been “legally binding.”

Textor’s involvement at the club has led to Palace fearing losing their place in Europe.

Uefa has been looking into whether Palace broke the multi-club ownership regulations, which forbid linked clubs from competing in the same European competition.

Textor is a shareholder in French side Lyon, which also qualified for the Europa League.

Despite his shareholding in the club, Textor insists he has no significant influence over Palace.

Searching for healing: Inside one of the last hospitals in Haiti’s capital

A small patio in the hospital’s center, where patients sat on benches beneath a wooden pagoda, provided the most tranquility. After surgery and other lengthy procedures, a small, colorful obstacle course nearby assisted in recovering mobility.

We first met Four-year-old Alexandro and his mother, Youseline Philisma.

When an armed group started igniting Alexandro’s camp where they were living, she was only one month old. He was saved from the flames, still alive but severely burned.

Youseline had taken him to Tabarre’s burn unit, the only one left in the nation, since then.

It’s “a whole new world” when I enter the hospital. My little one is understood by everyone. Everyone “gives us a lot of love,” she said.

The rest of Alexandro’s life will depend on his care in the burn unit. Among the medical professionals who treat him is surgeon Donald Jacques Severe.

Severe has the option to resign. His wife and children already made the trip to the US four years ago. Their home had been overrun by armed fighters. Severe is granted a visa to reside in Canada. He has not left, though, so far.

His co-operation, Xavier Kernizan, attempted to explain the responsibilities he and Severe share.

Someone will struggle if we’re not here, Kernizan said.

We are about to burnout, in my opinion. We can even get into depression at times. However, there is also the satisfying feeling of helping to make someone’s day better, of giving them a little hope in their most difficult times.

However, it’s impossible to predict the viability of Tabarre Hospital if the security situation continues to deteriorate.

My documentary team and I left the hospital gates for the first time in a week on April 11. One of the few places in Port-au-Prince that is still under government control was Petion-Ville, which we were heading for.

A World Food Programme helicopter brings passengers to the Karibe Hotel, where we crossed a football field. Right now, it’s the only way to get out of the capital.

As we flew into the air above the bubble of violence below, the Haitian capital began to shrink as the rotors began to rot, and we clambered into the helicopter. I recall being relieved.
