Full House’s Dave Coulier ’48 hours’ from dying of common cold amid cancer battle

After being diagnosed with cancer last year, Dave Coulier began chemotherapy, but his immune system weakened, forcing him to spend days in the hospital.

Hollywood star Dave Coulier has shared a harrowing experience amid a long health battle. The Full House star was diagnosed with cancer in November 2024, and admitted that the disease left him hours from death in a recent scare.

Dave, 65, who played Joey Gladstone in the iconic sitcom, is battling Stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma. The actor is undergoing chemotherapy to battle the cancer, and revealed that the chemo itself left him so weak that a cold almost killed him had he been ill for a further 48 hours.

Speaking to his Full House co-stars Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber, Dave shared that he was hospitalised for days during the terrifying time, until tests later revealed that he was only suffering from rhinovirus – the most frequent cause of the common cold.

Your red blood cells deplete after chemotherapy, Dave said, and my blood levels were so low. Your immune system just kind of crashes, regardless of your levels, including white blood cells, everything. And so I woke up cold-prone for ten days after receiving that last chemo treatment. So I spent four days in the hospital while receiving an antibiotic IV. I was patiently awaiting my fever to go down.

The How I Met Your Mother star explained that his severe symptoms were confusing even the medical professionals, sharing: “And they said, ‘Look, we don’t know what’s going on.’ At that point my body started secreting these proteins that were indicative of a massive heart attack.

We don’t know what’s happening, but we don’t believe you’ve had a heart attack. And when they finally said, “Your fever is gone, you can go home,” they finally said. “

After his stay, Dave was given the complete green light to leave for his home. However, he acknowledged that things could have changed. But they claimed, “We could have lost you if you had waited another 48 hours,” Dave said.

Dave said that his wife, Melissa Bring, was the one who saved his life by encouraging to go to hospital. Melissa herself recently spoke about how Dave is coping with his diagnosis, and explained how he tried to stay in high spirits throughout.

She said in January, “He has some really tough days, and it gets tougher and more difficult as the chemo has been accumulating.”

Melissa added: “He has such a positive attitude, and you need that in order to really fight it. Every morning, if he’s feeling up for it, we try to put on a song and do a little dance party with the dogs, because when you do feel good, you have to celebrate that too.”

After admitting his initial difficulties when he revealed his diagnosis on The Today Show, Dave’s determination to stay strong throughout comes as a result.

He said at the time, “It’s been a rollercoaster ride for sure.” He claimed that doctors “biopsied it, taken it out, and said, “We wish we had better news for you but you have B cell lymphoma, we need to get you into chemotherapy right away” after the doctors told him it was a “gut punch.”

Man Utd Beat Lyon In Thriller To Reach Europa League Semi-Finals

With a 7-6 aggregate victory in their last-eight tie, Manchester United made an astonishing comeback on Thursday, defeating Lyon 5-4 in extra time.

After being reduced to 10 men on the night, Lyon came from two goals down to equalize and force extra time, before glaringly going 4-2 up.

However, United were level once more thanks to a Bruno Fernandes penalty and a Kobbie Mainoo strike, and Harry Maguire added the winning goal in extra time.

Dobey beats Bunting for Rotterdam triumph

Kelly Deckers/PDC

On a night of shocks in Rotterdam, Chris Dobey defeated Stephen Bunting to claim his first Premier League victory on 2025.

Few would have anticipated the all-English final, with the bottom two going into night 11;

Dobey reached the semi-finals with a 6-2 victory over Nathan Aspinall, his first final since a 6-1 loss to Luke Humphries on opening night.

The 34-year-old Northumberland-born player won his second consecutive Premier League nightly win 5-1 over Bunting and sealed an impressive victory with an average of 101.84.

Dobey, who is currently sixth in the table, is only three points clear of the four play-off spots, while only five points keep Aspinall, who is seventh, and Rob Cross, who are both seventh.

“I think I can still make it to the top four,” she said. If I keep this performance, I have a good chance the following week, he said.

“I’m a fighter, I’ve won big matches and been cruising all the way back to the top.” I’m going to stay until the end, and I’m here to win.

With the defeat of world champion Luke Littler and Dutchman Michael van Gerwen, Bunting won two of the final three matches.

Premier League champion Littler defeated Rob Cross 6-5 in the quarter-finals despite his opponent’s 110 average in the gloomy Ahoy Arena.

In an effort to keep his arrows on track, the 18-year-old, who is leading the league and aiming for a fifth nightly win of the year, went for heavier darts, up three grams to 26g.

Price, “Darts blowing everywhere”

Gerwyn PriceKelly Deckers/PDC

After being defeated by Aspinall in the final eight, Gerwyn Price was unhappy with the breeze on stage in Rotterdam, according to several players.

Aspinall initially warned him that he had a shoulder injury, but his Welsh opponent saw off against him without any symptoms.

After that, Price said on Instagram, “We move on to the next week, and this week was pointless.” Everywhere, the darts were exploding.

“I’m hoping we’ll stop coming here and look for alternative locations.” You look just as foolish as you appear if you believe that the situation applies to both players.

Cross had a five-match losing streak against Littler, but he appeared to be on the verge of victory before his rival clinched a 145 finish.

Littler was the 2018 world champion, but the teenager held on for the win again, 110.15 to 108.56.

Dutch fans disappointed when home hero Van Gerwen lost to Bunting 6-5.

The seven-time Premier League champion has only advanced to the top ten games in the first ten weeks, only to reach a single nightly final.

Celebrity Big Brother’s Donna Preston baffles fans after revealing major ‘rule break’

Despite previous years leaving the contestants guessing, Donna Preston made an appearance to confirm that the Celebrity Big Brother housemates actually know the time.

Celebrity Big Brother fans noticed a big flaw in the show tonight that was revealed during a quick exchange between Ella Rae Wise and Donna Preston. The English comedian popped her head into the bedroom and was concerned to see Ella already tucked up for the night while the rest of the housemates were enjoying themselves in the hot tub.

She approached the The Only Way Is Essex star to ask if she was okay, saying: “Babe, it’s ten to nine.” Ella responded: “That’s what I mean, so early. My social battery is at three percent, maybe five at a push.” This exchange baffled fans, but not because Ella was ready for a snooze before the clock even struck nine.

More alarmingly, viewers discovered that the actors appeared to be aware of the time. One sceptical fan questioned, “How did Donna know what the time was?” as a number of people flocked to X to express their opinions on the incident.

Another queried: “I thought they weren’t supposed to know the time in the house?” Big Brother bosses previously made it clear that contestants were being sent into a house where they would have no access to clocks, phones, internet, or streaming services.

However, a member of the 2024 Big Brother cast previously let slip that the producers forgot to tamper with one kitchen item, which meant housemates were able to figure out the time while on the show. Martha told Heat World : “We were really fortunate – [producers] left the time on the cookers, so we always knew the time. The only thing we did know was the time.”

Some eagle-eyed viewers also pointed out that other kitchen appliances still told the correct time in the 2024 Big Brother house. These included the coffee machine, microwave, and oven. So the likelihood is that this tradition has been carried on in the 2025 series of Celebrity Big Brother.

This is not the first time Donna has been involved in controversy on the ITV show, but last time it came at her expense. Mickey Rourke was accused of fat shaming her when he mocked her efforts in using an LED mask to tighten up the skin on her face.

Before making the offensive joke, “You’d probably be better off running round the block for ten minutes,” he inquired if she had seen any results. Donna responded, “I have to try something,” in a polite manner. My neck is a little turkey-toothed.

Mickey quickly responded, “It comes with the territory.” Donna looked confused and inquired as to what he meant by “the territory.”

He went on to explain, “You are what you eat” as they say. Patsy Palmer jumped in to defend her, saying Donna eats really well. The comedian seemed quite upset when he made his comment. Ella and Danny Beard supported Donna afterward when they later spoke to her about the incident.

Angellica Bell’s husband Michael Underwood makes rare TV appearance on Celeb Big Brother

Michael Underwood, the wife of Angellica Bell, made a eminently rare TV appearance tonight on Late &Live, the show’s companion on Celebrity Big Brother. He mentioned that his wife is staying at the Big Brother house while he is away.

Angellica, also 49, was supported by former TV presenter Michael, who is known for his presenting roles on CBBC and CITV earlier. He appeared in a ITV interview where host AJ Odudu, 37, discussed housemates’ loved ones with him ahead of tomorrow night’s third eviction.

Since 2010, Angellica and Michael have been married. In recent years, Michael has become a teacher and host of Virgin Radio. The couple is the father of two children.

Michael said that it’s “hard” not being able to speak to his wife while she’s in the Big Brother house while he was talking about his wife on Late & Live tonight. He also expressed his joy at how well-performing she is overall on the program.

He told host AJ on the companion show, “I would tell her she’s doing so brilliantly,” when asked what he would say to Angellica. She is a joy to the entire family. I’m proud.

And it’s the show’s most emotional scene, Michael continued. She is normally known for being extremely strong, strong, and independent. However, you’re aware that the intense circumstance is causing the emotion to creep out, which is obvious.

On a video call with AJ Odudu (left) on Late &amp, Live tonight (ITV/Celebrity Big Brother), Michael Underwood (center) and AJ Odudu (center) spoke.

He continued, “Sometimes I literally have to hold myself back because just looking at her like that makes me want to be there and give her a big cuddle.” and let her know everything will work out. Therefore, it’s difficult for me to speak with her.

AJ also inquired about her friendship with housemates Ella Rae Wise and Danny Beard, who she claimed was “fangirling” after watching Jungle Run host Michael on television as a child. He stated, “Angellica prefers people who are straight talking.”

Danny, the winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race in the UK, was another comment Michael made tonight when he said, “Angellica likes people who are just direct and honest. And that’s Danny, in my opinion. She knows where she stands, he’s funny, and he talks direct.

He said, “In the years that I’ve been married to Angellica, she’s had to deal with people who she doesn’t read or who she doesn’t trust. They act in those kinds of behaviors when they say something and then do it. So, in my opinion, why does she like Danny?

Angellica Bell in a blue top, maroon gilet and blue leggings sat in the Diary Room in the Big Brother house.
Angellica Bell, who is currently one of the remaining housemates on Celebrity Big Brother (ITV/Celebrity Big Brother), was supporting Michael.

Michael continued on the show by referring to Ella from Only Way is Essex, adding, “And with Ella she sees the vulnerability, I think. When Ella and Angellica and Danny interact, in my opinion, is at their best. She simply feels more introspective.

Angellica was one of the thirteen celebrities who stepped into the Big Brother studio last Monday to watch the new season. Three housemates have already left, making her one of the ten who are still living in the house prior to tomorrow night’s eviction. Tomorrow, Daley Thompson and Patsy Palmer will be forced out.

Tomorrow night at 10:30 p.m. on ITV2 and ITVX, Late & Live will air. It will begin airing right after Celebrity Big Brother’s live eviction, which will be available on ITV, ITVX, STV, and STV Player starting at 9 p.m.

Solanke Penalty Sends Spurs To Europa League Semis

A first-half Dominic Solanke penalty sent Tottenham to a 1-0 win at Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday and into the semi-finals of the Europa League 2-1 on aggregate.

Under fire amid a terrible Premier League campaign and with coach Ange Postecoglou’s job hanging by a thread, Spurs put in the type of controlled performance they have lacked this campaign.

After Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike and Spurs’ Mathys Tel traded first-half chances, home goalkeeper Kaua Santos’ nasty collision in the box with James Maddison brought Solanke to the spot.

Without a goal since January, Solanke made no mistake, giving Spurs the lead in front of Frankfurt’s raucous Nordwestkurve.

The win will prove a stay of execution for Postecoglou, keeping alive Spurs’ chance of reaching the final in Bilbao along with the coach’s oft-maligned guarantee of winning a title in his second season at a club.

The loss ends Frankfurt’s hopes of returning to Spain to again lift the Europa League title, having done so three years ago in Seville.

Despite the defeat, Frankfurt sit third in the league and are on track for their best league finish since the mid-1990s.

Postecoglou travelled to Germany knowing only victory would give him hope of staying in the job beyond the season.

With the club on track for their worst league finish in three decades, the Europa League was the final remaining chance for the Australian to make good on his promise of “always” winning trophies in his second season.

Spurs’ suffered a fresh setback came the day before the match, with Son Heung-min ruled out of the trip with a foot injury.

With kickoff just minutes away, Frankfurt fans unfurled a 80-metre tall banner of their Eagle mascot cradling the club’s trophies, including the 2022 Europa League, a reminder to the visitors of their recent success.

Just as in the first leg, Frankfurt’s attack was focused on the elegant Hugo Ekitike.

The French striker had a golden chance to put the hosts in front after 16 minutes when through on goal, but the lightning-quick van de Ven got a timely touch on the ball before Ekitike could get a shot away.

Frankfurt were on top but lost midfield veteran Mario Goetze to a hamstring injury soon after and the home side struggled to adjust without their attacking fulcrum.

Mathys Tel, back in Germany for the first time since moving to Spurs from Bayern Munich on loan in winter, forced a fingertip save from a flying Santos with 25 minutes gone.

Santos’ willingness to put his body on the line may have him soon set to take over from club stalwart and captain Kevin Trapp, but his eagerness cost Frankfurt shortly before halftime.

Cristian Romero spun in a looping cross for Maddison but the midfielder was taken out mid-air by Santos before crumpling to the turf, with a penalty awarded on VAR review.

Solanke’s first task was taking the ball from the eager Tel, but after Postecoglou signalled from the bench, the England striker stepped up and converted, scoring his first goal since January.

Santos was shown a yellow but the tackle rattled Maddison, who was subbed off shortly after.

With time running down in the second half, Spurs dropped back allowing Frankfurt possession in dangerous spaces but the hosts were unable to level things up.
