The men’s and women’s FA Cup finals take place at Wembley this weekend – and you can watch both live on BBC One, iPlayer and the BBC Sport website and app.

Crystal Palace meet Manchester City in the men’s final on Saturday (16:30 BST kick-off).

Palace are seeking to win a first major trophy in the club’s history, while City are looking to avoid a first season without a major trophy since 2016-17.

Then on Sunday Chelsea will be looking to complete a domestic treble when they face holders Manchester United in the women’s FA Cup final at the national stadium (13:30 kick-off).

How to watch and listen to men’s final

Kevin de Bruyne is expected to make his fourth – and last – FA Cup final appearance for Manchester City after the Belgian announced in April he will leave at the end of the season after 10 years at Etihad Stadium.

Crystal Palace are 12th in the Premier League table – 16 points behind fourth-placed City, who, with two matches remaining, are yet to seal a place in next season’s Champions League.

A Crystal Palace win will earn them a place in next season’s Europa League.

Unlike last season, the 2025 final is taking place during the Premier League season.

However, there are no Premier League fixtures on Saturday to allow the showpiece occasion to receive maximum exposure.

There will be 30 minutes of extra time if necessary and penalties if the scores are still level.

You can watch Saturday’s final on BBC One, iPlayer or the BBC Sport website and app.

TV coverage starts at 15:25, with former Palace striker Glenn Murray and ex-City defender Micah Richards – who won the FA Cup with City in 2011 – joining former England captains Gary Lineker, Wayne Rooney and Alan Shearer at Wembley.

Mark Chapman is at Wembley to present BBC Radio 5 Live’s coverage. There is build-up throughout the afternoon before kick-off at 16:30.

How to watch and listen to women’s final

Chelsea against Manchester United is a repeat of the 2023 women’s FA Cup final which the Blues edged 1-0 to win the trophy for the third successive season.

United have conceded just once in this season’s competition and defeated neighbours Manchester City 2-0 in their semi-final.

Chelsea remained undefeated on their way to the WSL title and beat three WSL teams en route to the FA Cup final – Everton, Crystal Palace and Liverpool.

There will be 30 minutes of extra time if necessary and penalties if the scores are still level.

You can watch Sunday’s final on BBC One, iPlayer or the BBC Sport website and app.

TV coverage starts at 12:50, with former Arsenal and England defender Alex Scott presenting from Wembley.

She will be joined by former England midfielder Fara Williams, ex-Chelsea and England forward Ellen White and former Manchester United striker Nikita Parris.

England goalkeeper Mary Earps, who joined Paris St-Germain last summer after leaving Manchester United, is also part of BBC One’s coverage at Wembley, while ex-England goalkeeper Rachel Brown-Finnis is alongside commentator Robyn Cowen.

Former Chelsea and England defender Gilly Flaherty is alongside commentator Vicki Sparks for full commentary on Radio 5 Sports Extra 3.

Police Arrest Female Arms Runner With 481 Rounds Of Ammunition In Nasarawa

The Nasarawa State Police Command says its operatives have arrested a 21-year-old suspected female arms runner who was en route to supply ammunition to terrorists in local government areas known for terror activities.

The Command’s spokesman, Ramhan Nansel, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday in Lafia, the state capital.

He said the arrest followed credible intelligence indicating that Fatima Salisu, a native of Funtua in Katsina State, was intercepted in the Azuba area of Lafia.

She was allegedly transporting a large cache of ammunition through Keana and Doma LGAs, en route to deliver the consignment to criminal elements in Katsina.

“Acting swiftly on the intelligence tip-off, Commissioner of Police, CP Shetima J. Mohammed, ordered the immediate deployment of the Command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit,” Nansel said.

The operation led to the arrest of the suspect and the recovery of 400 rounds of 7.62x39mm ammunition and 81 rounds of 7.62mm NATO ammunition.

The suspect is currently in custody and undergoing interrogation as investigators work to dismantle the arms trafficking network and trace its connections to armed banditry and terrorism.

While describing the arrest as a significant step in the ongoing fight against illegal arms proliferation and crime in the region, the Command reaffirmed its commitment to ridding the state of crime.

Report Tenancy Agreement Fees Higher Than 10 Percent, Lagos Govt Tells Residents

The Lagos State Government has once more cautioned against the collection of tenancy agreement fees beyond the stipulated 10 per cent and has asked residents to report such abnormality to the authorities.

At the 2025 Ministerial Press Briefing held at the Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre in Alausa, Ikeja, the Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State on Housing, Barakat Odunuga-Bakare, warned against violation of the state’s tenancy law, which caps tenancy agreement fees at 10 per cent.

“We have been overwhelmed by reports of the activities of these unscrupulous elements making life hard for Lagosians with agreements and commissions that are like asking for an arm and a leg,” Odunuga-Bakare said in a statement issued by the Lagos State Government.

“We are calling on members of the public not to keep silent but to report such agents and landlords to us, for the government cannot be everywhere, every time.”

She reiterated the restated the Lagos State Government’s stance against the imposition of excessive tenancy agreement fees, reminding all stakeholders within the state that the stipulated maximum remains 10% of the annual rent.

While the growing population in Lagos is a factor in the housing challenge, the special adviser said stakeholders and the government have met to address the situation.

“We have met with associations of real estate agents, and they have assured us that the people who are engaging in such practices are not registered agents that identify with their associations,” Odunuga-Bakare said, suggesting that these illegal activities are often perpetrated by unregistered individuals operating outside the purview of established professional bodies.”

Earlier, the Lagos Commissioner for Housing, Moruf Akinderu-Fatai, said the state is mulling monthly and quarterly rent options for residents of the state.

‘One long Nakba’: Palestinians mark 77 years since mass expulsion by Israel

Palestinians held marches in the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah to commemorate the Nakba, or “catastrophe”, of their mass dispossession during the creation of Israel in 1948.

More than 50,000 people have been killed in Gaza since October 2023 and an aid blockade threatens famine, while Israeli leaders continue to express a desire to empty the territory of Palestinians.

In the West Bank, too, occupied since 1967, Israeli forces have displaced tens of thousands from refugee camps as part of a major military operation.

This year marks the 77th anniversary of the Nakba, during which an estimated 750,000 Palestinians fled or were expelled from their lands after Israel declared itself an independent state in the territory.

In Ramallah city, Palestinian flags and black ones branded “return” flew at road intersections on Wednesday, while schoolchildren were bussed into the city centre to take part in the weeklong commemoration.

At one event, young boys wearing Palestinian kuffiyeh scarves waved flags and carried a giant replica key, a symbol of the lost homes in what is now Israel that families hope to return to.

No events were planned in Gaza, where more than 19 months of war and Israeli bombardment have left residents destitute and displaced.

Moamen al-Sherbini, a resident of the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis, told the AFP news agency that he felt history was repeating itself.

“Our lives here in Gaza have become one long Nakba, losing loved ones, our homes destroyed, our livelihoods gone.”

Nearly all of Gaza’s 2.4 million people have been displaced at least once during Israel’s war.

In early May, Israel’s security cabinet approved plans for an expanded military offensive in Gaza, aimed at the “conquest” of the territory while displacing its people en masse, drawing international condemnation.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said his government is working to find third countries to take in Gaza’s population, months after United States President Donald Trump suggested they be expelled and the territory redeveloped as a holiday destination.

“Nakba Day is no longer just a memory – it’s a daily reality we live in Gaza,” said 36-year-old Malak Radwan, speaking from Nuseirat in the centre of the enclave.

“This is a miserable day in the lives of Palestinian refugees,” said 52-year-old Nael Nakhleh in Ramallah, whose family comes from the village of al-Majdal near Jaffa in what is now Israel.

Palestinian refugees maintain their demand to return to the villages and cities in current-day Israel that they or their relatives were forced to leave in 1948. The “right of return” remains a core issue in the long-stalled negotiations between Israel and Palestine.

Buttler to skip IPL play-offs for England ODIs

Getty Images

Jos Buttler will skip the Indian Premier League play-offs if Gujarat Titans qualify so he can play a full part in England’s one-day and T20 series against West Indies.

The former captain is one of five players named in the England one-day squad who are in the IPL.

The rescheduling of the IPL amid political tension between India and Pakistan means the latter stages clash with England’s series.

The IPL resumes on Saturday. The play-offs begin on 29 May and the final is on 3 June.

All-rounders Jacob Bethell and Will Jacks, who play for Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Mumbai Indians respectively, are expected to do the same.

Jofra Archer and Jamie Overton, the two other IPL players in England’s ODI squad, are not expected to return to India as their franchises cannot qualify for the play-offs.

England play West Indies in three ODIs before a three-match T20 series starts on 6 June.

The Titans, who are top of the IPL with three matches left, need only one win to guarantee a play-off spot.

Sri Lanka batter Kusal Mendis appears set be signed by the Titans as Buttler’s replacement. Their final group match is on 25 May.

Second-placed Royal Challengers also need to win one of their three remaining matches to qualify.

England all-rounder Liam Livingstone and wicketkeeper Phil Salt have also returned to RCB for the IPL’s restart.

Livingstone has been dropped by England and Salt features only in the T20 squad.
