Iconic London launches ‘game changing’ contour stick to rival likes of Rare Beauty

The pen- or stick-like design has become a sensation in the world of makeup products. Contour sticks are becoming increasingly popular for precise, user-friendly sculpting that resembles a drawing. Another beauty brand has joined the contour stick game, joining Rare Beauty, Victoria Beckham Beauty, and Fenty Beauty.

The Shape &amp, Shade Sculpting Stick, a design that mimics Iconic London’s blush stick, was just released. The fantastic thing is that it is affordable for this essential piece of makeup. Launching earlier this month, the Shape &amp, Shade stick is set to be an “ultimate game-changer” for “effortless, natural-looking definition”.

Both Iconic London and Cult Beauty (Iconic London) have the new Sculpting Stick.

It costs just under the same as Fenty Beauty and Rare Beauty, whose contour sticks cost around £25, while Victoria Beckham’s renowned sculpting pen costs £35.

With an innovative formula that blends from a creamy consistency to a powdery, flawless finish, the Iconic London Sculpting Stick is designed to deliver seamless contouring. It leaves behind a smooth, shadow-like definition perfect for minimal make-up looks when you don’t want harsh, noticeable lines.

This contour stick’s formula features skin-loving ingredients, including avocado oil to boost collagen production, African yellow wood bark extract to banish shine, and advanced elastomer for that silky, airbrushed finish. It doesn’t just contour—it nurtures your skin with every wear.

Iconic London has also strived for inclusivity. No matter which shade of contour sticks you choose, this new line of contour sticks will give you a subtle touch or a bold definition no matter what skin tone you have.

With a creamy texture that will melt straight into the skin and boasts effortless blending and buildability, this contour stick’s design allows precise, easy, and multi-use application, whether applying it straight to your base or transferring with a brush for a lighter touch.

One customer who already purchased this latest must-have from Iconic London was quick to praise this item, putting it in glowing praise: “I have been waiting for Iconic London to release something like this in stick form, and it did not disappoint. I ordered it Next Day delivery the day it arrived because I was so eager. It goes on so so nicely, lovely colour, blends amazingly and is super easy to use. I LOVE this! Will 100% be ordering many back ups”!

For the less expensive price of £23, you can purchase this new sculpting stick from Cult Beauty or Iconic London’s website.

Japan, Philippines to boost military ties amid ‘severe’ environment

In response to China’s growing assertiveness in the region, Japan and the Philippines have come to an agreement to expand military cooperation.

Gen. Nakatani, the Japanese defense minister, and Gilberto Teodoro, the country’s defense secretary, announced on Monday that they had come to an agreement to establish a “high-level framework” for cooperation in defense equipment and technology.

Nakatani and Teodoro both expressed agreement at a press conference to mark the conclusion of a two-day visit to the Philippines.

Our two countries must continue to strengthen their defense cooperation and collaboration in order to maintain peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific in a situation like this, Nakatani told reporters. “We firmly agreed that the security environment surrounding us is getting worse and that it is necessary for our two countries as strategic partners to do so,” Nakatani said.

Before the meeting on Monday, Teodoro claimed that the two nations shared a desire to oppose “unilateral attempts by China and other countries to change the international order and the narrative.”

The South China Sea, which is thought to contain about one-third of global shipping, has been one of the most vocal critics of Beijing’s efforts to exert control over it, which has bilateral defense agreements with the United States.

China has laid claim to more than 90 percent of the waterway, where the Philippines, Vietnam, Taiwan, Malaysia and Brunei all have competing territorial claims.

Beijing violated international law by harming the environment and preventing Philippine fishing and oil exploration, according to a 2016 decision from an international tribunal at The Hague.

Beijing said at the time it did not “accept or recognise” the ruling, calling it “invalid”.

The Chinese navy flew a helicopter within three meters (10 feet) of a journalist-carrying surveillance plane over the disputed Scarborough Shoal, according to the Philippine Presidential Office for Maritime Concerns last week.

Justin Bieber breaks silence on changed appearance and explains real reason for hollowed eyes

Fans’ concerns over Justin Bieber’s most recent dishevelled appearance led to his breaking of his silence.

The 30-year-old Peaches singer’s fans have grown increasingly concerned about his health and well-being, which has only increased as a result of his increasingly depressed appearance. He was spotted staring at his signature looks during the height of his fame earlier this month and looking worlds away. As fans flocked to social media to express their concern as Justin walked through the streets of New York City.

After being seen in a bathrobe for the weekend, he later emerged wearing bright basketball shorts, no shirt, and an unzipped yellow hoodie with an extra-large jacket on top. On a different occasion, he was seen heading out to Los Angele to support his wife Hailey Bieber’s skincare pop-up shop.

As he met a fan, the chart-topping Somebody To Love star kept things under wraps while wearing a pair of dark sunglasses. He chatted with the fan, and he was spotted itching his legs while shifting his weight between his feet. Fans immediately shared their concerns on social media, with one user writing: “This is so hard to watch. Someone help him”.

His reps finally disproved the rumor that Justin was using hard drugs as “absolutely not true” after weeks of rumors about his health, saying that he is “pursued in one of the best places in his life.” The singer is putting his newborn son’s needs first, and developing new music.

Justin’s rep told TMZ that as he ended several close friendships and business relationships that no longer served him, the past year has been “very transformative for him.” The narrative surrounding his mental and physical health is “exhausting and pitiful” and “shows that people are committed to keeping negative, salacious, and harmful narratives alive,” they continued.

When Justin abruptly unfollowed his wife on social media in January, he worried about his health after having son Jack with Hailey last summer. He immediately followed his father-in-law Stephen Baldwin and shared a controversial photo of a bong. He quickly dispelled rumors of a broken marriage by revealing a number of wife photos.

He said: “Someone went on my account and unfollowed my wife. S**t is getting suss out here”. Following Sean Diddy Combs’ arrest last year, fans have expressed concern for Justin. Despite their close friendship, Justin’s early career was tumultuous, with rumours that he was “thrown to the wolves” as he partied with Combs during his teen years.

Conflicts trigger globe’s highest rate of internet shutdowns in 2024: NGO

Governments around the world oversaw a record-breaking year for internet shutdowns in 2024, a new report on “digital violence” suggests.

There were 296 internet shutdowns documented across 54 countries last year, surpassing the 283 shutdowns in 39 countries in 2023, says the report by Access Now and the #KeepItOn coalition, published on Monday.

According to the report, conflict remained the main reason behind internet shutdowns for a second consecutive year, with perpetrators using strategies ranging from severing cables and jamming devices to destroying infrastructure and sabotaging service providers.

Myanmar led the global list of offenders with 85 internet shutdowns. The military government primarily ordered the outages to “a population that resisted its dictatorship four years after the coup,” according to Access Now.

Cross-border shutdowns saw a sharp rise. These included shutdowns carried out by Russia in Ukraine, Israel in Gaza, and Thailand and China in Myanmar.

India dropped from the top in 2023 to second place, with 84 shutdowns. Pakistan recorded 21 shutdowns, its highest-ever total.

Israeli ‘ digital violence ‘ in MENA region

The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region saw 41 internet shutdowns across 17 countries in 2024, down from 77 in 2023. However, the number of affected countries increased from 15 to 17.

Authorities in 10 MENA countries implemented 18 platform blocks in 2024 as a method of information control, the report said, while armed conflicts drove 12 internet shutdowns, endangering civilians ‘ safety.

In spite of international criticism, Israel “systematically shut down” connectivity and destroyed telecommunication infrastructure during its war against Gaza, according to the report.

Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and its rival Rapid Support Forces (RSF) used weapons to obstruct millions of people’s access to essential services in Sudan during the ongoing conflict.

The year also saw cyberattacks from the Anonymous Sudan hacker group causing shutdowns in Bahrain, Chad, and Israel, while Mauritania enacted the region’s first election-related shutdown since 2021.

Anton Du Beke breaks silence on Giovanni Pernice’s return to Strictly Come Dancing

Giovanni Pernice should be a friend, according to Antonio Du Beke, who has spoken out about him.

Anton, the Strictly Come Dancing judge and professional dancer, was discussing his new golf podcast with Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid on Good Morning Britain on Monday. After being accused of inappropriate behavior in previous series, Anton then had a brief conversation with his pal Giovanni Pernice, who stopped showing up on Strictly at the end of last year.

Giovanni and Anton are good friends off screen, and have presented the BBC travel shows Anton &amp, Giovanni’s Adventures in Sicily and Anton &amp, Giovanni’s Adventures in Spain together. From June this year, they will be performing Anton &amp, Giovanni: Together Again on a tour.

Anton Du Beke
On GMB (ITV), Anton mentioned his friend Giovanni.

Richard Madeley also posed a question for Anton about his former Strictly coworker while he was on the show to talk about his love of golf and the new golfing podcast he is hosting with Sarah Stirk from Sky Sports TV.

“I’ve got a slightly tricky question for you”, Richard said, adding, “It’s been reported that you personally would welcome Giovanni Pernice back onto Strictly. You would welcome him back, but we are aware that the BBC accepted six bullying complaints against him and rejected others. That’s sticking your head above the parapet. Why would you do that”?

“That’s a very good question”, Anton replied, while going on to not to completely answer it. “I’d prefer to be talking about the golf”.

Anton and Giovanni
For the BBC (BBC/BBC Studios), Anton and Giovanni have produced two travel shows.

He continued, “I was delighted for Giovanni because he performed at the Strictly Come Dancing in Italy with the outstanding Bianca Guaccero.” I’ll be seeing him when we return on the road because he was delighted to receive that and we’re going on a tour this summer.

I have known him for a long time, and I enjoy going on stage with him and performing with him. We’ve got a wonderful company as well, so all in all, it’s a great show”.

Giovanni made a statement about the possibility of returning to the Strictly dancefloor last month. The dancer took a step back from the show’s 2024 series following claims from his 2023 partner, Amanda Abbington, concerning issues with his conduct.

Giovanni Pernice has reportedly slashed the price of his latest tour tickets
Strictly Come Dancing (FILE) was recently won by Giovanni Pernice in Italy.

Amanda Abbington had claimed Pernice created a “toxic environment” and levelled “inappropriate, mean, nasty bullying” charges at Pernice. The Italian defended any hints of abusive or obscene behavior and praised the findings of a BBC investigation that found “some, but not all” of the actress’s complaints.

Although it was acknowledged that there weren’t any physical agressions, it appears that verbal bullying and harassment allegations have been made public. Speaking about a possible Strictly return, the 34 year old told Heat: “I would love to go back on Strictly but I don’t think they’re going to have me on again”.

He added: “It wasn’t the most pleasant situation for me. Everyone can move on with their lives now that it is over, and I’m happy to see it over.
