At least 25 people were killed and a number of others were hurt when a passenger bus erupted in flames in southern India after colliding with a motorcycle.
Senior police officer Vikrant Patil said dozens of passengers on board the bus, many of whom were sleeping, were caught by the fire as it drove along a highway in the Andhra Pradesh state’s Kurnool district in just a few minutes.

According to The Associated Press news agency, some escaped through broken windows and leap safely with minor injuries, while others were burned to death before help arrived, according to Patil.
