Ashley Cain says ‘I want to feel grief forever’ after birth of two sons

Before the birth of his two new boys, Atlas Diamond and Aliyas, Ashley had baby girl Azaylia, who passed away from leukemia at just eight months old, Ashley is now a father of three.

Ashley is passionate about keeping Azaylia’s memory alive, and he claims to frequently travel to her burial place with Aliyas and Atlas. He admits he hasn’t fully processed his loss, and he hopes never will, despite speaking openly about how he has handled both grief and healing. “I hope I feel grief forever”, he says in an exclusive chat. I’m not afraid of grief, and I’m not trying to escape it, the truth. I’m trying to figure out the best way to deal with it, learn it, and navigate it. But I am aware that all of my grief is due to my love, and I’ll remain grateful for it as long as I can. People sometimes try to get past their grief, but it would be more beautiful if they sat through it realizing they are only loving that person.

Azaylia’s ex-partner Safiya Vorajee gave birth to the girl in August 2020 after she was eight weeks old and diagnosed with cancer. In the years following Azaylia’s passing, he and Safiyya, who split up in March 2022, have raised millions for children with cancer via their charity, The Azaylia Foundation.

Safiya told The Sun, “Myself and Ashley will always be united, despite their split a year after their young daughter. For me and Ashley we’ve always got our purpose and that is Azaylia, we’ll never lose sight of that. And you’ll always see us working together, supporting each other in the fight against childhood cancer, and for all time.

When Aliyas Diamond was born in January of last year, Ashley became a father for the second time. Ashley has not mentioned the mother of his most recent child on social media, so it’s unclear if Aliyas and Atlas share the same mother.

He then became a father three times in November of last year when he shared the happy news on social media. His son was born a month early on Friday, so Ashley missed the birth while he was filming for a TV show.

Vicky Pattison, then of Geordie Shore fame, and Ashley co-starred in Ex on the Beach’ first season in 2014. For the second series, which aired in 2015, Ashley made a comeback as an ex.
