Anya Taylor-Joy left ‘shaken’ after ‘masked raiders target London mansion while she was inside’

Anya Taylor-Joy was reportedly the target of a burglary in London.

When masked raiders attempted to enter the room, the Hollywood actress and her musician husband were said to be in the mansion’s bedroom. It’s said the incident left the pair shaken-up but not physically hurt.

When the masked raiders forced their way into the North London property last February, the 28-year-old The Queen’s Gambit star and her husband, Malcolm McRae, were reportedly present at the property with Kane Richotte, McRae’s bandmate. It’s claimed glass was allegedly smashed during the incident, according to The Standard.

Following their nine-month legal battle to remove the reporting restrictions on the case, the publication claimed that the reports have only just been made public.

In a lavish ceremony in Venice attended by more than 150 guests, it is said that Taylor-Joy and McRae tied the knot in September 2023. Prior to the Italian ceremony, she is said to have eloped to New Orleans in order to get married there. Two years prior to the couple’s engagement,

Anya explained to WWD.com how their romantic relationship was solemnly revealed on their big day. On the dress, she embroidered our love story, she said. I didn’t want to wear white, I don’t know why, but there’s so much embroidery”.

She went on to explain the distinctive details of the dress, saying, “You’ve got a little speedboat because my dad won the world powerboat championship when he was younger. And we’ve got things for my husband’s family, coordinates – the whole story”.

She also acknowledged in the interview that she hasn’t had time to unpack since moving into her Los Angeles home three years ago because of her hectic schedule. She continued, “My private life tends to not necessarily catch up with my work life because it moves so quickly.” I’ve owned my house for two, or three years, and I still haven’t fully unpacked. Everything is just basically liveable”.
