Oba Moses Bakare, the traditional ruler of the town, was reportedly assaulted by angry youths in the Idogun community, which is located in the Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State, along with his wife and son, Prince Victor.
Prince Victor’s visit to his parents in the community to celebrate the New Yam Festival reportedly sparked the crisis.
The prince described how the angry youths harmed him by inflicting bodily harm, dumping urine, and other soiled objects on him. Additionally, he claimed that the king was not spared in the attacks because his mother had been stripped half-naked.

The monarch criticized the unfortunate incident, describing it as a continuation of “unprovoked hostility” from a group of youths within the community, and labeled the act “barbaric and unfortunate.”
He praised the Amotekun Corps and Nigeria Police for their swift action, which prevented the assault from getting worse.
DSP Olusola Ayanlade, the Ondo State Police Command’s public relations officer, gave a statement to Channels Television regarding the incident.
