I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! champion, Angry Ginge, has taken a pop at his dad after being crowned King of the Jungle on Sunday.
The YouTuber, 24, real name Morgan Burtwistle, was met by his ecstatic mum, Michelle – who raised Ginge and his sister as a single parent – on the iconic bridge Down Under and later told the Mirror he’d gone on I’m A Celeb to make her proud. However, he had nothing to say about his estranged dad, but has now shared a post on Instagram, making his feelings clear.
The star joked his dad would be furious at seeing his success after leaving the family.
Over a clip of actor, Matthew McConaunghey sobbing in the film, Interstellar, as he watches his estranged daughter in a old video, a fan wrote: “Angry Ginge’s dad watching his past self walk out on his son, who would go on to win I’m A Celebrity.”

Commenting on the clip, Ginge replied: “HAHAHAHAHAHAH” before posting a shot of a huge plate of steak and chips as he enjoyed all his luxury hotel on the Gold Coast has to offer.
Ginge spoke candidly about his upbringing on a council estate in Manchester to the Mirror after leaving the jungle as he revealed that money was scarce.
Admitting he thought about quitting the I’m A Celeb, but stayed in because he wanted to impress his mum, he said: “I will never forget where I came from, and I think because I started literally from the bottom and watched everyone around me from my mates to their parents, my mum, everyone had to graft their way to get wherever it was.”
Money was tight and Ginge’s mum had to work several jobs to keep them afloat. Even so, when the star was 18, Michelle was forced to sell the family home and move somewhere cheaper. He moved in with his Nana round the corner to ease the pressure.
As a result, Ginge says his aim from the outset was to make his mum proud. He concluded: “She told me I’d done that…but then she also said: ’I was already proud of you…you didn’t need to go on the show to do that.”
With almost a million followers on YouTube and a whole host of big-money projects in no doubt in pipeline after his jungle success, the sky’s the limit for Ginge.
We also revealed how being on the show has actually cost him more than £100,000 in lost brand deals in the build up to Christmas.
A source said: “His fee for doing the show was nothing compared to the money he could have earned on the outside. But he just wanted to make his mum proud.”
