Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba, the first to call for the removal of the current Constitution and the creation of a new one that places justice and equity first in a truly democratic system.
The Anglican Primate stated this at the Standing Committee Meeting of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, held at Saint Cyprian’s Anglican Church, Hospital Road, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
In February and September, the Standing Committee Meeting convenes twice a year.
The only way to address the country’s problems, according to Most Reverend Ndukuba, is through citizen participation. He said that the present system breeds greed, anarchy, and injustice.

He urged authorities to take swift action to restore security and condemned the killings occurring across the nation.
He also encouraged citizens to remain resilient, expressing hope for a better future.
He noted that politicians frequently hire foreigners from neighboring countries to advance their interests, despite the fact that many of these crimes are committed by people from neighboring nations.
Ndukuba also demanded that the country make a concerted effort to promote total healing and detoxicate the country.
He urged Bola Tinubu to address the issues that threaten national unity and leave a lasting legacy.
In order to address deep-rooted divisions and set the nation on a path to recovery, he pushed for the establishment of a National Reconciliation Commission.
He added that addressing corruption and other socio-economic issues is essential to restoring hope, particularly among disenchanted youths.
Governor Siminalayi Fubara, in his speech, stated that his administration is already addressing key socio-economic challenges highlighted by the primate, including youth development, workers ‘ welfare, and security services.
He emphasized the need for logistical assistance for citizen reorientation by partnering with the government to promote positive societal values.
Fubara stressed the importance of improving conditions for professionals in the field while acknowledging the need for better worker welfare, particularly in the healthcare sector.
He added that Nigerians are among the most productive people on the planet, and that they frequently succeed when they leave.
