On the set of her most recent movie, Ana de Armas has revealed that she was left screaming and fleeing for her life. The 37-year-old Cuban-Spanish actress, who is playing the lead role in the newest action film Ballerina, which is based on the John Wick movie series starring Keanu Reeves, is playing the lead role.
The new movie sees Ana playing a character named Eve Macarro, who was training as a ballerina before falling into a world of espionage and peril. While promoting the new film, Ana also shared anecdotes from the set of another action film she stars in.
She is a member of the Eden cast, which was originally released in 2024 but is scheduled to debut in the UK in July.
The action flick, which also stars Jude Law, Vanessa Kirby and Sydney Sweeney, was filmed in Australia – but the set was frequently invaded by scaly visitors. Ana has explained that a snake catcher was on hand at all times to remove such unwanted pests.
Ana revealed to Stellar Magazine that the cast and crew would yell at reptiles if they were admonished. She recalled that, “At random times on set, people just scream “Snake!”
We literally dropped everything and ran away, waiting for the guy to come with the stick and take the snake out, stopping right away. “Whatever was happening, whoever was talking.
She continued, “But I believe we were safe; no accidents occurred.”
Despite having a busy summer ahead of her film debut, fans have been piqued even more by her in recent months thanks to rumors that she is dating Tom Cruise. Tom has even flown the actress around in helicopters after catching them out for dinner.
Ana is not a stranger to dating famous men; she has been married to Spanish model Marc Clotet from 2011 until 2013 and has dated Ben Affleck from early 2020 until late 2021. More recently, she has been linked to the stepson of Cuban President Miguel D’Az-Canel. However, rumors that she has been warned about posing as Tom, 62, have been true.
A source insisted to People that the pair were merely “disclosing potential collaborations down the line” after being caught apparently enjoying a Valentine’s meal together earlier this year. They added that the pair appeared to be friends rather than romantic partners.
Fans have been left skeptical, though, and many have taken to social media to express their disapproval of the apparent chemistry between the Hollywood stars while also fretting about Tom’s dramatic, attention-grabbing past.
He has been married three times, with each marriage leading to divorce, which is unfortunate. He has also been linked to Scientology, a contentious religion.
