Heart Radio listeners were stunned as Amanda Holden let them into a bizarre intimate detail.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge, 54, was presenting her Breakfast show on the station alongside Jamie Theakston when they got onto her idyllic weekend. Amanda revealed she had been with her family at West Wittering beach in West Sussex. The trip included time with her puppy, Minnie, who the family rescued in September last year.
However, it was her update on the pooch that shocked listeners. She revealed the canine loved her first beach trip, but was left covered in sand. Instead of hosing the animal down outside, Amanda claimed she welcomed Minnie into the bath with her when they returned home.
Jamie seemed unfazed by the confession, but the show producer seemed stunned as he sat with his “head in his hands” after the revelation. Amanda had explained how Minnie ‘ went nuts ‘ on the beach and had “loved the sea”. She said the same could be said for other dog Rudie.
“I looked at Minnie the moocher, who’s my dog, and I just thought, I’m gonna put her in with me”, Amanda revealed. I need to wash her anyway because she’s covered in sand, so I took her collar off and we had a little bath together! “
She continued:” I used all her doggie shampoo, so there were no products in the bath so please don’t write in. Minnie was loving it, she was living her best life. Then I got the dog conditioner and got a brush… why has our producer got his head in his hands? “
Explaining what happened next, Amanda went on:” ‘ I started brushing out her – because she got a little bit matted from her halter under her armpits – so I gave her a good brush, a good clean, and then I got out, but then I put Rudie in the bath water. I just thought it saves a bit of bath water and then I gave him a good old scrub as well so everyone was clean and fluffy and lovely! “
The show then asked listeners to give their thoughts on the situation to see if Amanda was wrong to do this.
Amanda was recently spotted cosying up with Simon Cowell’s fiancee Lauren Silverman. The duo, alongside Ashley Roberts, were spotted at their pal Sofia Lever’s hen do earlier this month ahead of her wedding. Amanda shared snaps from the occasion her Instagram Story at the weekend. She revealed she was at the celebrations for Sofia’s upcoming nuptials with Lauren and Ashley. Amanda, Lauren and Ashley were photographed sitting a table together wearing baseball caps that had #FiaFest written on the front. They also sported lanyards and the table had been adorned with white roses, miniature disco balls and other decorative pieces. There were also several candles on display as the guests downed drinks in champagne flutes.
