While she was juggling a newborn baby with her newborn, Abbey Clancy revealed an awkward encounter she had with another parent at a chemist.
Abbey Clancy has revealed she “wanted to die” after an embarrassing encounter left her “heartbroken”. The 39-year-old model was heavily pregnant and caring for a newborn when she had an awkward interaction with another mum in a chemist.
On her podcast, The Therapy Crouch, which she hosts with her husband Peter Crouch, Abbey shared that the other woman was struggling with a baby who was “kicking off”. It was then that Abbey mistakenly thought the woman was also expecting another child.
She recalled that a woman at the pharmacy had a baby and what she thought was a pregnant tummy at the time of the terrible incident that occurred at nine months pregnant. I said to her, “God, you’re just as crazy as me.”
When the baby started to kick off, I said, “Oh God, we’ve got it all, haven’t we?” and I pleaded with her, “I’m not pregnant, this baby’s weight is this baby’s,” and she said, “I just wanted to die. I was like, “I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry.”
She went, “Don’t worry about it,” and I was heartbroken despite the fact that she had thought it was funny. Never, ever do that’s not good. “It’s not good.
Peter admitted that he never congratulates someone unless they specifically state that they are expecting. He continued, “I sincerely never say congratulations, even when I am aware that someone is clearly eight months pregnant.”
“I still don’t say it,” I said. I’d never consider… I simply wouldn’t mention it, and if someone says, “I’ve got a month to go,” you can go, “Congrats by the way.” You never know, so I’d never say “congratulations” ever.
Sons Johnny and Jack are also parents to their sons, Sophia and Liberty, and Abbey and Peter. After meeting at a bar back in 2006, the pair have been together for almost 20 years.
However, when Peter managed to wind up Abbey just after their initial encounter, their romance started to deteriorate.
Speaking about their first meeting during a Good Morning Britain appearance, Abbey revealed: “When we first met, he begged me for my number and then I went to the loo or the bar, and when I came back, he was talking to another girl. I was like, ‘How dare you?'”.
Abbey demanded her digits back despite Peter insisting that he was “just talking to the other woman.”
I once said, “You can’t give someone your number and then take it back,” he said.
The pair’s romance continued despite the initial hiccup, and they rekindled their union in 2011. The clan reportedly reside in a “magical” Surrey estate with its own cinema room and sprawling grounds, according to OK!
The impressive property is frequently shared on Abbey’s social media channels.
Fans have seen Peter enjoying the home’s outdoor swimming pool and wood play area while grafting at his substantial wooden workstation, which is decorated with football silverware.
