The wild way the rapper and his partner Rihanna honoured him for his hard work has been revealed by an attorney for $AP Rocky.
Rakim Athelaston Mayers, 36, who allegedly confronted A $AP Relli with two felony assault counts against him in a confrontation in 2021, refused to agree to a plea deal, which would have placed him in jail for only 180 days. The musician continued to deny both charges and entered a not-guilty plea on Tuesday in a very public hearing despite the significantly reduced sentence that was offered. He was ultimately found not guilty on both counts.
Rocky could have spent 24 years in prison if he had been found guilty of the charges and missed out on seeing his two children grow up. The star shares sons RZA, two, and Riot Rose, one, with Rihanna, and the doting dad made it clear that he was terrified to go to jail and leave his family behind.

In the lengthy case, Rocky’s lawyer Joe Tacopina has shared how Rocky thanked him for saving the young boys from being taken.
“Rihanna and Rocky said to me in the courtroom yesterday, they grabbed me and they said, ‘ Listen, our next baby is A $AP Joe, ‘” the lawyer told Extra. He added that Rocky told him he “loved” him, and called him “family” while sharing his gratitude after the hearing.
Tacopina explained that his involvement with Rocky and Rihanna extends beyond the courtroom and that his involvement with them has improved their relationship.

He claimed that he “wound up accidentally babysitting for the first child” at the 2023 Super Bowl when Rihanna revealed her second pregnancy while performing at the halftime show.
Tacopina asked the lawyer if Rocky would be willing to look after his child so he could get a pedicure and explained how Rocky and RZA were there with him while his other half worked on her show. I babysat for an hour and a half, then. There was a different type of relationship with him than with most clients”, Tacopina summarised.
Even before Rocky was found not guilty, he was unsure whether he would walk out of the courtroom a free man or in cuffs. This was already apparent when he entered the case. The singer allegedly took a moment to speak to Tapopina and said, “Joe, I want you to know how hard you fought here.” I know everything you’ve done, and I just appreciate you so much. I appreciate everything you’ve done for me… and we’re in this together no matter what, and I love you. ‘”
