Presenter Laura Hamilton has risen to fame through her TV career hosting A Place In The Sun for the last 13 years and now finds herself juggling this with co-parenting
A Place In The Sun’s Laura Hamilton has opened up on how she manages to juggle her successful career and co-parenting her two children. The star is best known for hosting the show for the last 13 years where she helps people look for new homes abroad.
Despite meaning she has to travel abroad a lot, Laura has managed to build up her career as well as being a mum. Laura has son Rocco, 11, and ten-year-old daughter Tahlia with her ex-husband, insurance broker Alex Goward.
The 43-year-old has revealed that the former couple tend to look after their children a week at a time, which means Laura can film abroad while her kids stay in the UK with their dad.

Speaking to The Sun, Laura said: “I co-parent Rocco and Tahlia with their dad. I try to manage it so that they spend a week with their dad, then a week with me.
“The weeks that they are with their dad is when I tend to focus more on my filming and so I am less stressed about getting back home in time for dinner or bedtimes.
“I’m incredibly lucky that over the years, I have had a supportive employer who has allowed me to travel with my children. That has allowed me to be a mum and have my career. Is it a juggle? One hundred per cent.”
Laura explained that she has “every respect” for those who are full-time mums but she’s managed to find a way to make it work with her career, despite being “chaotic” sometimes.
She said it’s important for her to know that her daughter Tahlia is “inspired” by her hard work and knows she is also able to have a successful career and be a parent at the same time.
Laura has found that she has been trolled while she posts photos abroad to her social media followers. She said that many assume that she is not with her children despite not always posting in real time.
This comes as the presenter publicly addressed an online remark claiming she was “too old” to wear a bikini. She shared a photo showing herself sitting poolside in a blue and white bikini, along with a video of her relaxing on a day-bed with her daughter before sending her followers a message.
In the caption, she asked: “Who decides when we’re ‘’too old’ for anything? I recently read a comment saying I was too old to wear a bikini… and it honestly made me stop and think for a second. But then I reminded myself, life’s way too short to worry about what other people think.
“Today I’m wearing a swimsuit, not because of the comment I read but because I wanted to and I feel comfortable in it. We all have days when we feel self‑conscious, but we deserve to enjoy the sunshine, the beach, the pool – whatever makes us happy – no matter our age and whether we choose to wear a swimsuit or a bikini!!”
She finished off her message to her fans by writing: “Live your life and feel good in your own skin.”
