The members of 5 Seconds of Summer are currently preparing for their upcoming world tour, where they are “turning up the dial,” with the release of their new album, Everyone’s A Star.
The “worst band in the world” is the name of the pop-rock band 5 Seconds of Summer, who have since been given a chance to share their opinions. The Aussie quartet recently released a new album, which examines the experiences of its members with fame.
The group, which consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Luke Hemmings, lead guitarist Michael Clifford, bassist Calum Hood, and drummer Ashton Irwin, have returned with their highly anticipated album Everyone’s A Star, which was released on November 14. Among their tracks are NOT OK, Telephone Busy and Boyband, through which they reclaim the boyband label.
Being a boyband is for us to redefine what it is because when we were first starting out, we would play in pubs and perform all the things that regular bands would do, and the key thing we realized was that being a boyband isn’t a bad thing. Calum claimed that while the term “boyband” was “a little belittling,” 5SOS has since been able to “reclaim the power of what that is.”

However, their music career hasn’t always been smooth – and in 2015, NME awarded them the title of Worst Band in the World three years in a row. But since then, Ashton said the band has dealt with it, as he told NME it is “foolish to allow any emotional damage to happen in the world of pop.”
The drummer said that in their new album, 5SOS are focusing on being “bulletproof” and “larger than life” rather than let the label down. He added that they are prepared to stage their “most ambitious” tour of the world in 2026.
Michael continued, noting that “being the worst band in the world” was a “diminiscent matter” in the grand scheme of things. He continued, “We knew we would be around for a long time, and we are still as strong as ever.”
Michael remarked that the label was actually “a blessing” disguised and urged people to view new artists with more empathy. He remarked, “It was a blessing personally.” I’m always rooting for those artists whenever we see any new artists being thrown under the bus, and I love that I have empathy for them.
It’s really difficult to express your creativity and find creative expression in other people. Additionally, it’s extremely difficult to control what other people say under any circumstances. It was obviously a sign of our success that we were nominated for such a prestigious award as Worst Band, and I’m grateful that it took place.
Meanwhile, Luke said the band is “turning up the dial” with their new tour, which he promised will be “biggest, most ambitious” as he vowed: “The limit does not exist!” The band will tour the UK, Europe, North America and Australia next year, starting in Belfast, Northern Ireland, at the SSE Arena on March 25.
The rest of the month and the beginning of April will see shows in Dublin, Glasgow, Birmingham, Birmingham, London, Manchester, and Cardiff. The band will then play in Europe, playing shows in Portugal, Spain, Italy, France, Germany, and Norway.
New York, Texas, Atlanta, Georgia, and California will be the places where they will be traveling. At the end of the year, the tour wraps up with five shows in Australia and New Zealand.
