Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces agree to humanitarian truce

NewsFeed

Amid accusations of genocide, Sudan’s paramilitary Rapid Support Forces say they have agreed to a humanitarian pause in the war with the country’s army. The group took over the city of el-Fasher in Darfur on October 26, after a devastating 19-month siege. Sudan’s army has so far not responded to the truce proposal.

Prince William’s secret power move as interviewer grills him on Andrew nightmare

Prince William was grilled this week over the recent controversial changes within the Royal Family, and responded with a firm yet polite ‘conversational swerve’

A body language expert has picked up on a subtle yet powerful “swerve” from Prince William during a grilling over his family dramas, that she reckons “many politicians would have been proud of”.

William is in Brazil this week to attend The Earthshot Prize, an annual global environmental prize that recognises significant contributions in the field of environmentalism. Although there was plenty of talk about the issue of climate change, the future king was also pressed about a topic closer to home – and it appears he was well prepared.

It’s no secret that the British Royal Family has had a challenging few weeks. William’s uncle, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, formerly Prince Andrew, has been stripped of his titles and forced out of Royal Lodge, as controversy over his friendship with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein continues. Andrew, who has vehemently denied any wrongdoing, has now been formally asked to provide evidence to a US congressional committee investigating Epstein’s criminal network, with a response requested by November 20.

Meanwhile, William’s estranged brother Prince Harry was also accused of upstaging him after announcing his ‘peusudo-royal’ trip to Canada, clashingn with William’s high-profile Brazil event. Ahead of the COP30 climate summit, CNN reporter Christiane Amanpour pressed the Prince of Wales about the controversies unfolding behind palace doors, making reference to the father-of-three’s recent chat with actor, writer and producer Eugene Levy.

Ms Amanpour noted: “Something that drew a lot of interest was when you said to Eugene: ‘I think it’s safe to say that change is on my agenda, change for the good. I embrace and I enjoy that change, I don’t fear it.’ You went on to say: ‘I want to make sure that this is a job that impacts people’s lives for the better, I want to create a world in which my son is proud of what we do.’ Given the fact that there has been a lot of change in your own family recently, talk about that a little bit. Where do you see the change, what do you think needs to happen?”

Responding with some diplomatic skill, William, 43, replied: “I think The Earthshot Prize is a classic example of change. Rather than talk about it, we’re doing it, and that’s where I want it to be. These people in here are the true action heroes of our time, and change will come by backing them, not by what I do. And so I want to surround myself with people who want to make change and do good in the world.”

Clearly refusing to get dragged into questions about his disgraced uncle or Harry and Meghan, he added: “It’s really important, you have to provide a leadership and a vision that there’s good things to come, and it’s not all negative. For my children especially, knowing the planet is going to be in a healthier, better state because of the brilliant people in this room. It’s something I love to tell them when they go to bed.”

His subtle yet pointed response garnered plenty of applause from the audience, and body language expert Judi James was also left impressed, remarking, “William performs a conversational swerve here that many politicians would have been proud of.”

Speaking with the Mirror about William’s clever ‘redirecting’ strategy, Judi told us: “When the ‘killer’ subject of his family dramas comes up, albeit gently, he is sitting in a very elegant, composed pose with his legs crossed. The mic is held in his lap, rather than up by his mouth, as many celebrities tend to do, so they can interrupt or look keen. Holding his mic away from his face like this allows him some element of control as it announces when he wants to speak, as he raises it, and when he is finished, as he lowers it again.

“There is little reaction or movement from the prince to the question, and there is a hint he was prepped for it here. His head tilts slightly to one side in a gesture of acknowledgement, though, which helps avoid looking like the proverbial rabbit caught in the headlights. His eyes remain down, though in a reflective cut-off, giving nothing away about his feelings.”

Picking up on the prince’s ‘one tell’, Judi continued: “William’s one ‘tell’ or non-verbal cue here is one that is common to many speakers, ie it emerges from the movement of his foot. The further away from the head, the less the body language tends to be controlled, which is why hands and feet can often be where the inner feelings leak from.

“William’s right toe lifts, and the movement is circular. If it had begun to tap in a metronomic ritual, he might have displayed impatience or irritation, but the lifting and more circular movements suggest he is in control of the narrative here.

“He redirects the subject away from his family and back onto his cause, goals and priorities. There’s no obvious sign of any royal power-flexing here, but his eyebrows raise, and he throws his left hand out towards the audience more than once to redirect to them and the core values of Earthshot. He then takes control by placing the mic back to his knee to announce (politely but firmly) that the subject is closed.”

Jonathan Ross reveals ‘horrible’ Traitors moment with Alan Carr that didn’t air

Jonathan Ross was one of the three Traitors in the first ever celebrity version of the show alongside winner Alan Carr and singing sensation Cat Burns

Jonathan Ross has revealed a “horrible” moment on Celebrity Traitors with Alan Carr that never aired. The chat show host was the first Traitor to be found out on the series after the Faithfuls rumbled his identity.

He worked alongside Cat Burns and eventual winner Alan Carr but didn’t quite pull the wool over the Faithfuls’ eyes. Despite taking to the sneaky role well, Jonathan has said there was one moment that didn’t make it on the show.

He said that there was a clip that left Alan with his “head in his hands” before going on to be crowned the winner. In a shock turn of events, Alan managed to win the show which means he won a huge amount of money for his chosen charity.

Jonathan appeared on ITV’s Good Morning Britain where he discussed the moment. Speaking about the show, Jonathan said: “I did feel it was much harder than I expected, and I did struggle with that.”

He then explained that there was one moment in particular which got him and Alan the most. Jonathan said: “Cat not so much, she said it was a game, she found it easy to put into perspective, even though often we’d be driving home much later at night than you guys, we’d be driving in the car with head in our hands going ‘oh God’.

“And Alan and I were very aware that it was taking its toll. But having said that, what a lovely opportunity what an incredible thing to be apart of.”

Showbiz reporter Richard Arnold went on to say that it was interesting that the show was “quite the pressure cooker that it was”.

Jonathan added: “It was horrible at times, because as a traitor you’re speaking to really nice people who you wanted to support in the show, and make sure they had a good times well.

“Then you would suspect, or be fairly certain they knew it was you. Whenever I do a show I always go in and said I’ll give as much as I can, try and help the show be as good as it can be. I always turn up to work.

“Then you have to try and engineer ways to get them out and you see them standing there being banished… because you’re successful and then you see they’re upset and to see someone upset, you’ve played a part in it.

“It’s a horrible feeling, even though it’s essential to the game.” Viewers were shocked when it was revealed that ALan had managed to win the game.

Despite continuously smirking when Faithfuls were banished, somehow he still managed to go undetected. When he was crowned the winner, Alan burst into tears as he admitted he had found the process difficult.

The comedian said: “I was awful, I had no poker face but here I am. Maybe I do exaggerate a showbiz story now and again. But to just lie to people’s faces, it was tough.”

Scrubs fans point out 1 thing about cast as reboot starts filming after 15 years

Scrubs is set to return to our screens 15 years after the sitcom was cancelled, and fans of the show have all said the same thing about the returning cast

Scrubs is set to make its comeback to our television screens early next year, and fans have spotted something remarkable about the cast for the forthcoming 10th series. The sitcom initially aired on NBC for seven series between 2001 and 2008, chronicling the life of Doctor John ‘JD’ Dorian (played by Zach Braff) and his colleagues at Sacred Heart Hospital.

ABC picked up the programme for its eighth series after NBC announced it would not be renewing it, which was meant to be the final series. However, in late 2009, a ninth series was commissioned, though it was subtitled ‘Med School’ and featured a new setting at a medical school, alongside new cast members. ABC officially cancelled the series in 2010, but 15 years later, Scrubs is now in production for a 10th season, which will premiere in February 2026.

The new series will see numerous original cast members return to our screens, including Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke as Elliot Reid, Donald Faison as Christopher Turk, and Judy Reyes as Carla Espinosa.

Following the official Scrubs account on TikTok, sharing a video announcing the 10th series has officially entered production, fans of the programme couldn’t help but highlight one thing about some of the returning cast.

In comments on the video, which showed several members of the cast holding up signs that read “now in production”, numerous fans noticed that multiple actors appeared as though they hadn’t aged – even 15 years after they last featured in the programme.

One fan remarked: “It’s like Sarah Chalke doesn’t age at all.”

Another chimed in: “Sarah hasn’t aged a day!”

But it wasn’t just Chalke receiving all the compliments, as another viewer noted: “Wait, did Donald Faison even age a bit?”

Viewers were also taken aback to see that John C. McGinley was absent from the video, with many stating they “don’t want” a Scrubs reboot without his beloved character, Dr Perry Cox. In the series, JD views Dr Cox as a mentor, despite his frequent criticism and condescension towards the young doctor.

However, fans can rest easy, as McGinley is confirmed to be reprising his role in the reboot.

One character who won’t be making a comeback, however, is Sacred Heart’s lawyer, Ted Buckland. Ted was portrayed by Sam Lloyd, who tragically passed away in 2020 at the age of 56, and fans have expressed that the show won’t feel the same without him.

A viewer wrote: “I don’t know if I can watch it without Sam Lloyd.”

Another added: “I’m sad we won’t see Ted.”

The awards come as Cheryl made a rare public appearance last month as the one year anniversary of Liam Payne’s death was marked. Liam, who was also the father of their son, Bear, died on 16 October 2024.

The Girls Aloud star stepped out to celebrate her bandmate Nicola Robert’s 40th birthday at the Lanesborough Hotel in Belgravia.

Liam and Cheryl were in a relationship for two years from 2016 to 2018. While the pair first met in 2010, when he auditioned for X Factor when Cheryl was a judge on the show, they did not get together until after her separation from French restauranteur Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini years later.

Made In Chelsea star gives birth shortly after tragic death of her sister

One of the stars of Made In Chelsea has shared adorable pics of her second child, born just months after the tragic death of the reality TV personality’s sister

One reality TV star finally has something to celebrate, as months after the tragic death of her sister, she has announced the birth of her second child and shared adorable pictures on social media.

Frankie Gaff, best known for appearing on Made In Chelsea, shared snaps from the hospital after giving birth to her second child. In the black and white pics, she is seen cradling her newborn, as is her fiance Jamie Dickerson.

The two had a daughter, who was delivered via C-Section. Sharing the news to Instagram, Frankie captioned the post: “She’s here.” This is the couple’s first girl, but they also have a three-year-old son, Theo.

Other than the fact that their baby is a daughter, Frankie hasn’t shared any other information. Fans jumped in the comments to congratulate the couple. One said: “The biggest congratulations lovely! So happy for you and baby girls safe arrival xxxxx”.

Another wrote: “Big congratulations to you and your expanding family. Such a blessing and miracle that your daughter is here and healthy”. Broadcaster Ashley James also congratulated Frankie, saying: “Huge huge congratulations. I hope you’re doing ok and had a calm birth.”

The happy news comes just over two months after Frankie’s sister died. In an Instagram update posted on 31 August, Frankie wrote: “My sister passed away early this morning.

“We will miss her forever but trying to find comfort in knowing she is finally at peace and is hopefully bouncing around up there somewhere, doing what she loved most.

“Gymnastics, being with her friends and family, surrounded by nature, eating terrys chocolate orange or green and blacks almond chocolate.

“We will miss her infectious, incredibly loud, laugh forever. Thank you to everyone, people I know and people I don’t know who have always messaged to check in on her.”

Frankie hasn’t chosen to share more about her sister’s death online, instead choosing to focus on her pregnancy journey. Just days ago, she posted a video sharing how she was getting ready for the birth of her baby, as she had gotten her due date.

The video showed her getting her breast pump ready to help with breast feeding and she shared that she wasn’t sure she was ready for her next baby.

“I really can’t tell if I’m ready for this next baby. 50% of me is like ‘let’s get her out now’. The other 50% remembers very clearly what it does mean to actually have her here. So I’m trying to enjoy a few nights of uninterrupted sleep.”
