Robbie Williams, the pop star, called phone giving by parents “abuse.” The father of four described his four children as “drugs,” saying he would never give them phones.

Speaking to ITV News he said: “They don’t have phones. They’re not going to have phones for as long as humanly possible. And you know they’re gonna go, they are at school, other people have phones, why can’t I have a phone? Tough. “That’s as simple as it is. I’m 51, I can’t deal with the corrosive nature of the internet and things. It hurts me. It ruins my day.

How do I administer this drug to a 12-year-old? How do I administer this drug to a seven-year-old? It’s abuse”.

Theodora “Teddy” Rose, Charlton “Charlie” Valentine, Colette “Coco” Josephine, and Beau Benedict Enthoven are the four children that Robbie and his wife Ayda Field have. Although Teddy was the singer’s daughter when she was the bridesmaid at her friend Princess Eugenie’s wedding in 2018, Teddy was in the public. The singer likes to keep his children out of the spotlight.

Robbie stated that he would open for Oasis despite a long-running conflict between the musicians as he prepares to release his new album.

The rivalry allegedly began more than two decades ago, which saw the 90s Britpop stars, Liam and Noel Gallagher from Oasis and Williams, exchange insults at each other, including a challenge made by the Rock DJ singer at the 2000 Brit Awards Ceremony to fight Liam. The feud, however, appears to have subsided with Williams saying that despite not being friends, they are not “enemies”.

So I would, I would open for Oasis. We’re not exactly friends, but I don’t think we’re enemies,” he added. Will Genia, one of the most renowned players in Australian rugby history, has announced his retirement at the age of 37.

The scrum-half captained Australia at three World Cups as it became the 78th player to do so.

He became the seventh-most capped Wallaby in history after appearing for his country 110 times over the course of his 10-year international career.

“Thank you to the teams, my team-mates, coaches, teachers, friends, and all the wonderful people in the game who supported me, guided me, shaped me, included me, tolerated me, put up with me, and made me better,” Genia wrote on Instagram.

“Thank you to the fans for making the game what it is.

Genia made his 100th appearance for Australia against England at Twickenham in 2018, making him the tenth Australian to do so.

The last of his 110 caps came in 2019.

Following his performances at the 2011 World Cup, when Australia lost to rivals New Zealand in the semi-finals, Genia was nominated for the 2011 IRB Player of the Year award.

Following previous stints with Stade Francais and the Melbourne Rebels, he completed his career with the Japanese side Kintetsu Liners.

For more than ten years, Rugby Australia’s CEO, Phil Waugh, claimed that “Will was a world class number nine who starred on the biggest stages of international rugby.”

Violence forces Copa Sudamericana game abandonment

Following violent altercations between fans, a Copa Sudamericana game in Buenos Aires was called off.

Local media reported that during Wednesday’s last-16 second leg between Argentine hosts Independiente and Universidad de Chile, ten people suffered serious injuries and had more than 300 people taken into custody.

One fan fell from the top tier of a stand at the Estadio Libertadores de America in the Avellaneda neighborhood of the Argentine capital while a stun grenade was one of the items thrown by spectators.

As objects were thrown at a section of a home’s supporters, violence broke out at half-time.

Home fans then appeared to be attacking visiting supporters early in the second half, with some supporters being beat and stripped by opposing fans.

Nothing qualifies as a lynching, “. Nothing,” Chile’s president Gabriel Boric said on social media.

“What transpired in Avellaneda between Independiente’s and Universidad de Chile’s fans is wrong in too many ways, from the supporters’ verbal abuse to the organization’s apparent irresponsibility. Those accountable must be found by justice.

Players left the field in the second half with the Chilean side leading 2-1 on aggregate with the game level at 1-1.

Conmebol, the country’s top soccer league representative, claimed the game had been postponed due to “the lack of security guarantees from the local club and local security authorities.”

Additionally, it stated that the investigation would be sent to its disciplinary committee and that the case would be referred to its judicial bodies.

Jake Paul to fight Gervonta Davis, WBA lightweight boxing champ, in Atlanta

Promoters announced on Wednesday that Jake Paul will face the unbeaten Gervonta Davis in an exhibition bout that will be streamed live on Netflix at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, on November 14.

Since Devin Haney vacated the belt in 2023, Davis has since won the WBA lightweight title, but Paul, a YouTuber-turned-boxer, will not be competing for the American’s title due to the size difference.

Before his victory over Mexican Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in June, Paul, a cruiserweight, weighed 199.4 pounds (90.45 kg), while Lamont Roach fought Lamont Roach in March at a weight of 133.8% (60.75 kg).

The weight limit for the fight has not been disclosed in any particulars.

“Yes, he’s one of the best pound-for-pound boxers in the world, but my motto is to fight any situation, at any time, anywhere. And I like my chances, Paul wrote on X.

Paul has a record of 12 wins and one defeat while Davis is unbeaten in 31 professional fights, winning 30 and drawing one.

Prior to Wednesday’s announcement, Paul had been in talks with Anthony Joshua, a former Olympic gold medalist and two-time unified heavyweight champion, and the two had been in discussions.

On November 15, 2024, Paul and Mike Tyson squared off in one of his most famous boxing encounters.

Investigation into Caroline Flack’s death closed after ‘reasonable’ findings

Caroline Flack’s death and the charges brought against her have been settled. The investigation into officers’ actions in front of the CPS was closed in January, according to the Independent Office for Police Conduct, and the results were “reasonable and proportionate.”

After allegedly assaulting her then-boyfriend Lewis Burton, Flack was charged with assault by beating in December 2019. After the incident, the Crown Prosecution Service had advised her to be warned. She was later charged after the Metropolitan Police appealed the decision. In February 2020, she tragically committed suicide.

Caroline’s mother argued that Caroline’s celebrity status had a significant impact on the charge’s outcome after the IOPC reviewed her case. London’s Metropolitan Police sent a complaint referral to the IOPC, which contained “a number of allegations about the force’s investigation” into the alleged assault in March of last year.

After allegedly assaulting her boyfriend, Lewis Burton (PA), Caroline Flack was charged.

A Met Police complaint referral was made on March 7, 2024, and it contained a number of allegations about the force’s investigation into an alleged assault involving Caroline Flack in December 2019.

No further action was required because we determined that the majority of the allegations had already been reviewed by the IOPC and investigated by the force.

We ordered the Met to investigate one aspect of the complaint on the grounds that there might be additional witness testimony. This was related to the officers’ responses to the Crown Prosecution Service’s (CPS)’s) initial decision not to charge Ms. Flack.

Five allegations were brought back to the force to be resolved fairly. The Met gave the complainant in June, and in July, the Met released results that demonstrated no new evidence that would alter previous outcomes. The outcome was subject to a review by the complainant to the IOPC. In January 2025, we concluded that the outcome was reasonable and appropriate.

The former Love Island star tragically committed suicide shortly after being charged with grievous bodily harm (PA).

In 2024, DPS officers conducted more inquiries and looked at the new evidence, according to a Met spokesperson. The officer’s statement that “the original outcome was acceptable” was not altered. The family filed an appeal with the IOPC after being informed of the outcome in June [2024].

No new evidence that could alter any of the previous outcomes was discovered during the IOPC’s review in January 2025. The IOPC may, however, review this once more in the event that new evidence becomes available.

Coroner Mary Hassell stated that the alleged assault had “played out in the national press” following Flack’s death, which had an effect on the presenter’s mental health. Caroline’s mother, Christine, claimed last year that the incident “wasn’t domestic abuse.”

This was an accident, she claimed to Sky News. But she was described as a domestic abuser in court and in the media, which hurts. Because she wasn’t, I want to get rid of that. Additionally, according to Christine, Flack’s fame caused him to be treated differently.

She said, “She shouldn’t be treated better, but she shouldn’t be treated worse.” Prior to Caroline’s suicide, the Met had previously addressed the IOPC.

Flack’s family filed a complaint with the IOPC after the DPS determined there was no misconduct. The office was ordered to apologize in 2023 after failing to explain why it had appealed the caution, but they claimed it had not found any instances of misconduct.

Lewis, her ex-boyfriend, also stated that he didn’t support the prosecution, and that he had publicly criticized this after her death. Flack was detained shortly after 5am at her London home on December 12, 2019. According to police, there was a “domestic disturbance” when they were called to a residential address.

One day later, she was charged. A Met spokesperson said: “Caroline Flack, 40, of Islington, was charged with assault by beating on Friday, December 13th. On Monday, December 23rd, she will appear in Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court for bail.

Following reports of a man being assaulted, an incident occurred on Thursday, December 12 at around 05:25. He didn’t suffer any serious injuries.
